La Belle Hortense

The little bookshop is also a charming restaurant. After a long day spent walking in the cold rain, La Belle Hortense offered a much needed respite. Our dinner was delicious, made with the freshest, seasonal and local ingredients. Are host was warm and welcoming, suggesting an excellent wine to accompany our dinner. And the chocolate mousse was divine.

A must-visit spot when in Paris! I spent a lovely Sunday evening there with a book, and it was such a delightful experience. The café offers a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, with soft, pleasant music playing in the background and books adorning the space. The food was delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. Adding to the charm was a photography exhibition on display, which made the visit even more special. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink while diving into a good book or having a relaxed conversation with a friend. Truly a highlight in Paris!

Wonderful spot for a glass of wine or more. Food and other beverages are available from the cafe across the street. The bartender dashes back and forth with plates and glasses, yet still managed to keep an eye on her customers’ wineglasses. I was celebrating my birthday, and she gave me an especially large pour on my second glass of champagne. Beautiful ambience with two rooms full of books, too.

A normal kitchen which is open till 1am. We came late but still was allowed to order and eat an onion soup and a beef bourguignon with a good red wine (morgon).

Bookshop. Wine bar. Say no more!! Sit at the little bar, grab a gorgeous glass of wine order some nibbles and have a lovely conversation with the warm and super friendly bar staff. Best pre-dinner drink I had in Paris! So quaint and classy. I tried two or three wines and they were all perfect!

Un café littéraire!!! Unique and cosy café restaurant nested in a nice book store - the atmosphere is generous, calm and romantic, helped by a great miroir hanged to the ceiling that show the street spectacle - on nice music of French crowners from the past, enjoy a café or a drink or a delicious meal among books - the staff is very welcoming and charming ! A real authentic atmosphere stay within these walls ! Time to rest and enjoy

Cute place with a nice atmosphere, we stopped by after doing some shopping. The cocktails and the plate of nibbles were exactly what we needed and the service was very prompt. A little bit touristy during the day but potentially that's different in the evening.

Nice place! Looked interesting from outside with the books on display so I decided to walk in to have a drink. Enjoyed the time, no complain really.
