5 stars for great food- with great European vibes! It’s located in the very serene Wellington cantonment area- the drive down to this place is amazing! And the venue gives a 180 degree view of Coonoor! Must try their pannacotta and pizzas!

Food is decent , don’t have high hopes Service is okay.. the restaurant is famous because many films like Kapoor and Sons and Sam bahadur have been shot there so it gets crowded You get good views of entire town from there There’s enough parking and walking space here Overall place with good vibes

The lasagna and fish n chips was great , but the salad was terrible and the soup was okay, the location is incredible and beautiful. Please make reservations before hand or be ready to wait for 30-40 mins. We didn't make a prior reservation but we did love the location and waited in the lawn.

I recently had the opportunity to try the fillet sirloin steak at La Belle Vie, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The presentation of the dish was quite lackluster, with the steak appearing haphazardly placed on the plate. The meat itself was not tender, making it difficult to enjoy each bite. Additionally, the cut of the steak seemed all wrong, which further detracted from the overall experience. To top it off, the sauce that accompanied the steak was a little too sour for my taste, overpowering the natural flavors of the meat. Overall, I was disappointed with the fillet sirloin steak and hope that the restaurant can make improvements to enhance the dining experience for future patrons.

This is an old heritage bungalow that featured in some hindi movie, being milked like an ordinary cow. It's the oldest scam to get locals to dress like sahibs and get them to say things like "Au gratin" and "bechamel" with a straight face, and then charge a bomb for whatever abomination they choose to serve you. The food was consistently on the "bad - ordinary" scale. What you pay for is the varnish on the "vintage" furniture and the pretentious clipped English accent of one of the old clowns who thought nothing of hollering to staff from the middle of the dining area with diners paying 690 for a piece of streak. Given the faint brush with Bollywood fame, there is no end to the nonstop influx of unwashed wannabes (including yours truly), desperate to blow some dough in this caricature of a restaurant. There's ample parking space.

We went to La Belle Vie for a lunch. It's the same house that is shown in Kapoor and Sons movie. The place is aesthetically beautiful and well maintained. The ambience inside and outside the property is amazing. It gives a vintage feel. Food was good, service could have been a little more crisp. We ordered soup, salad, pasta, omelette, fresh juices and chocolate. Our children enjoyed playing out in the lawn too. We also laid down in their lawn for some time to soak in the sun. Overall we had a good experience.

La Belle Vie has a gorgeous view, no doubt about that. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and it’s the kind of place you’d want to sit at for hours. The food itself is decent — not mind-blowing, but good enough. But here’s the problem: the service is genuinely terrible. It took them two hours to get our food to the table, with barely an apology or explanation. If you’re okay waiting endlessly and getting hangry in a pretty location, sure, go for it. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration. Wouldn’t recommend.

Located on the outskirts of Conoor, this hotel offers a truly enchanting ambiance. Set amidst a vast plot, the highlight is undoubtedly the charming old cottage home, possibly converted into a café, which adds to the allure of the place. Relaxing here while enjoying a meal comes with the bonus of a great view. The food, including fresh juices and lemon soda, is decent, although presentation could be improved for a more pleasing aesthetic. Nevertheless, taste-wise, it meets expectations. The interior and architecture are simply stunning, with even the bathrooms boasting aesthetic appeal. Overall, it was a delightful experience, highly recommended for those seeking a memorable retreat.
