Had a wonderful dinner at La Bergerie while staying at the Beaumier Capelongue hotel. We made a reservation through the hotel which was super easy and they accommodated our preferred time. Almost no wait when we showed up.
Ordered the pissaladiere (regional pizza with candied onions) and the asparagus salad - both were delicious, with the salad being bright and refreshing. For main I ordered the duckling fillet with potatoes, grilled vegetables and a salad. The duck was tender, juicy and rich, as expected.
For dessert there was one “dessert cocktail” option or a buffet of desserts of the day. I chose the buffet as that would give me more options, but after trying a few I couldn’t find any that wowed me, though that’s a matter of taste. The rest of the meal was good enough not to leave me wanting, though.
Service was really good and the atmosphere was pleasant - the smell and sounds from the nearby grill round off the experience really nicely.
