The best most authentic meal we've had in Milan. Great quality food, authentically and lovingly prepared, local, seasonal and delicious. We enjoyed the veal brain, frogs, ravoli, osso bucco and risotto, and of course the milanese veal chop. Portions are massive. Wine list is very cute and hand written and locally produced. If I could go again this trip I would!

We had the chance to have a table but I recommend you to call to reserve. The two ladies are very friendly. The food is excellent 👌🏾

We went when it wasn't very busy and got served a table luckily. The food and atmosphere at this trattoria made our Milan part of the trip so memorable. We ordered a starter - can't rmbr the name. A primi - quail dish with polenta a and a risotto w osso buco(?) It was all very very delicious. The staff were kind and treated us to a cup of espresso at the end of the meal. Please visit this trattoria, it will make the Milan experience. (and reserve beforehand to avoid disappointment!)

Servers were very sweet and accommodating when I walked in alone at 1:15pm and got me a table within 10 minutes. Risotto con l’ossobuco was melt in your mouth and comforting. Tiramisu excellent. Casual but attentive service and atmosphere. So glad I found this place on my one day in Milan biking around.

10/10. Came in at noon, no line. Had the ravioli and Rissoto ossobuco. This was the best meal we had in Milan.

If you're looking for a truly delightful dining experience in Milan, look no further than this charming restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you'll be struck by the warm and welcoming family atmosphere that permeates every corner of this establishment. But it's not just the ambiance that will leave you enchanted - the food is equally captivating. Every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, resulting in an authentic Italian dining experience that will leave your taste buds singing. I had the pleasure of sampling the white fish tartare and pigeon main, both of which were beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious. The flavours were expertly balanced, and every bite was a delight for the senses. But what really sets this restaurant apart is the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that nothing was too much to ask, making the entire dining experience truly unforgettable. If you find yourself in Milan, be sure to put this place at the top of your list of places to eat in. You won't regret it - in fact, you'll likely leave feeling as though you've just discovered a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

Very nice traditional restaurant in Milano. Staff was very friendly. Food was very delicious. Interior is very authentic. Trippa, ravioli, everything we tried were nice. My favorite Lombardian restaurant in the city.

Yelp
Three of us girls from The States on a birthday celebration trip and our first time in Milano. Stumbled upon this gem thanks to Yelp and could not have been more pleased. We would come back every night if possible!! Absolutely SUPERB!!

Yelp
We go to the restaurant a little before 8pm for dinner and when we entered, there was no one inside. There was no sign whether it was open or not when suddenly someone from the kitchen came out and asked us to sit down. In a few mins, the place was full. The place was a bit old but you can tell that its a neighborhood restaurant with a lot of local regulars. For the appetizer, we had the home-made pate which was good in flavor but too grainy for me. For primi, I had the mushroom risotto which was very good, right texture and flavor and my friend had the spaghetti aglio olio which had a very good balance on the spice. For the secondi, we shared a fried veal scallopini which was crispy, flavorful and not oily. We also ordered the sauteed celery which was so good. For dessert, we had the tiramisu which was just ok. The service was good -- most of them didn't speak English but they were very accommodating.

Yelp
I am married to an Italian so I am very picky about Italian food, my expectations are very high. When my husband and I travel we never go to the same restaurant twice, we like to try different restaurants, this restaurant was so good, we went again. The food is fresh and homemade, every bite was pure heaven. For an appetizer I have this risotto that was cooked and then crispy it was so good I ate every little bit of it and shared only a forkful to my husband, I am sorry it was that good. I had this steak in Oil and masked potatoes for dinner the first night it was just right and osso buco the second night, the meat fell off the bone it was so tender it melted in your mouth. For dessert the first night I had tiramisu, it could not have been fresher it was one of the best Tiramisu I have ever had, the second night I had bonet, because my husband had it the night before and I took one bite and that was it, it was the owner's grandmother's recipe, perfect. House wine was amazing. You were given a little taste before ordering, it was a fritta the second night. The service was amazing, I don't know how the waitress managed all the tables. It was teamwork everyone pitched in. It is not a fancy place, it is simple Italian, feels like eating at a very close Italian relative's house. If you are looking for good Italian food it does not get any better. Prices are also very reasonable. What a find. I will be back.

Yelp
Monica and Rossano, the owners of this restaurant, are fantastic people with a devotion for their job. Once you step in you realize that La Bettola di Piero is not a common restaurant: it is a temple of fine wines and delicious food. It is not a hip place but it is known to all the most important artists and TV people in Milano. Still, it keeps its fresh and modest look, along with the warmth of the staff. I've had the pleasure to have dinner there multiple times and I use to go there at least once a week to say my prayer to the best Italian food. The cuisine has roots in the Piedmont and Lombard tradition, with influences of Southern cuisine. A mix you will fall in love with!
