Amazing place to eat. We came in without a reservation but were able to get seated within 15 minutes, which exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we ordered, they encouraged us to truly enjoy the experience, and that’s exactly what it was. It felt like the restaurant was run by a family, in the best wat possible. Everything felt personal and cares of. The dinner really felt like an experience. The food was exceptional from the first to the last course, and the wine recommendation paired perfectly with the dishes. The warm and attentive staff made the entire evening even better. We were only able to eat here once, but we would highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to dine here.

The best most authentic meal we've had in Milan. Great quality food, authentically and lovingly prepared, local, seasonal and delicious. We enjoyed the veal brain, frogs, ravoli, osso bucco and risotto, and of course the milanese veal chop. Portions are massive. Wine list is very cute and hand written and locally produced. If I could go again this trip I would!

This is a really nice Italian place owned by a husband and wife. It is full of locals, but nevertheless the atmosphere was great and the staff were very welcoming to us. Food is good and huge portions. It is hard to get a reservation though, if you do not speak italian. Needed someone who spoke italian to reserve for me.

There has been a restaurant here since 1934. Today it is an incredible family run restaurant. An exciting seasonal menu with beautiful flavour combinations and generous portions. We tried the ham with fruit mustard, the saffron risotto and marrowbone, the tuna cheese and porcini risotto, tiramisu and the tuma cheese and persimmon pastry. Everything was excellent. One of the best Italian meals I have ever enjoyed. The owner and staff were also kind and attentive.

We had the chance to have a table but I recommend you to call to reserve. The two ladies are very friendly. The food is excellent 👌🏾

Went with friends to have dinner. Absolutely AMAZING. The appetizers to start, Brain fritters were crispy and light, liver patte out of this world, the snails simply delicious, the cod mantecato scrumptious to say the least. I ordered the Ossobucco with yellow risotto, my God. The portion was huge. The tender meat just kept falling off the bone. The risotto was absolutely divine. The bone marrow is just delectable, so tasty. Afterward, I had the Tiramisù for dessert, and I have to say it was the best I have ever had. Service staff were great. If you get a chance to visit Milan, don't leave without having a meal here. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant might be the highlight of Milan for me. The people here are amazing, we came without knowing that we have to reserve a table beforehand, and we came exactly at lunch time. They told us that we can sit to eat for an hour, and yet they didn't rush us anyhow. The food are also 100% amazing, best food I ate on my trip.

Tonight I had a solo dinner at this charming place. Because I was eating alone they didn’t hesitate to prepare smaller portions for me so I could try and enjoy different flavours. Among all the dishes the risotto was heavenly. And no I’m not exaggerating.

Yelp
Three of us girls from The States on a birthday celebration trip and our first time in Milano. Stumbled upon this gem thanks to Yelp and could not have been more pleased. We would come back every night if possible!! Absolutely SUPERB!!

Yelp
We go to the restaurant a little before 8pm for dinner and when we entered, there was no one inside. There was no sign whether it was open or not when suddenly someone from the kitchen came out and asked us to sit down. In a few mins, the place was full. The place was a bit old but you can tell that its a neighborhood restaurant with a lot of local regulars. For the appetizer, we had the home-made pate which was good in flavor but too grainy for me. For primi, I had the mushroom risotto which was very good, right texture and flavor and my friend had the spaghetti aglio olio which had a very good balance on the spice. For the secondi, we shared a fried veal scallopini which was crispy, flavorful and not oily. We also ordered the sauteed celery which was so good. For dessert, we had the tiramisu which was just ok. The service was good -- most of them didn't speak English but they were very accommodating.

Yelp
I am married to an Italian so I am very picky about Italian food, my expectations are very high. When my husband and I travel we never go to the same restaurant twice, we like to try different restaurants, this restaurant was so good, we went again. The food is fresh and homemade, every bite was pure heaven. For an appetizer I have this risotto that was cooked and then crispy it was so good I ate every little bit of it and shared only a forkful to my husband, I am sorry it was that good. I had this steak in Oil and masked potatoes for dinner the first night it was just right and osso buco the second night, the meat fell off the bone it was so tender it melted in your mouth. For dessert the first night I had tiramisu, it could not have been fresher it was one of the best Tiramisu I have ever had, the second night I had bonet, because my husband had it the night before and I took one bite and that was it, it was the owner's grandmother's recipe, perfect. House wine was amazing. You were given a little taste before ordering, it was a fritta the second night. The service was amazing, I don't know how the waitress managed all the tables. It was teamwork everyone pitched in. It is not a fancy place, it is simple Italian, feels like eating at a very close Italian relative's house. If you are looking for good Italian food it does not get any better. Prices are also very reasonable. What a find. I will be back.

Yelp
Monica and Rossano, the owners of this restaurant, are fantastic people with a devotion for their job. Once you step in you realize that La Bettola di Piero is not a common restaurant: it is a temple of fine wines and delicious food. It is not a hip place but it is known to all the most important artists and TV people in Milano. Still, it keeps its fresh and modest look, along with the warmth of the staff. I've had the pleasure to have dinner there multiple times and I use to go there at least once a week to say my prayer to the best Italian food. The cuisine has roots in the Piedmont and Lombard tradition, with influences of Southern cuisine. A mix you will fall in love with!
