A must try for seafood lovers! Though they have a limited menu but the food is spot on. We tried the lobster roll and rock lobster butter garlic. The lobster roll would have been much more enjoyable if the bread was a roll rather than a rounded bread with slit in the diameter, the taste was good and the fries were amazing. However the rock lobster was epic and yum. They also have bucket of prawns and a big tub of seafood delights which looks delicious. Ask for their dessert of the day... they are worth a try. Overall a very pleasant experience and pricey but ideal for big groups.

Had a party of 10 and ordered the set menu for $68/pax. The lamb and fish was executed perfectly. We cleared it even when we are all filled. Paella smelt so great with all the fresh sea creatures 🤪. The aged beef was on the house 👍🏻 tummy is satisfied

Limited menu with gluten-free options noted. We got lucky and scored a table for five though initially told they were fully booked. Meals are definitely expensive. They print their menu everyday so hard to know what exactly your options are by looking online. The duck pastry and potatoes were nice as were the steaks. I also appreciated the restaurants apparent commitment to locally and ethically sourced foods. Only negative was one staff member scurrying and stomping around the tables.

Wow. Absolutely stunning dinner. Great views and beautifully cooked food. The prawn dish they had on that day, cooked in garlic and sherry was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Wonderful atmosphere and brilliant staff. Thank you so much for having us.

We ordered a paella and a fish for three of us. The seafood paella was delicious with lots of seafood. The fish, forgot what we ordered , but it was well prepared and cooked just right, tender and juicy. Service is very welcoming and fast.

It is one of the best places along the Great Ocean Road - excellent fresh and local seafood. It does get busy during peak holiday seasons - good staff and the chef offers a range of fresh caught fish. Most of the products are sourced as local as possible. Brand new menu is excellent - ENJOY!

Delicious food made with obviously fresh and quality produce. Definitely on the pricey side considering the serving size (the king whiting pictured below cost, if memory serves, around $35-40), but in the end we didn't mind because everything tasted fantastic. (As a side note, there were a lot of flies buzzing around our area while we ate, which became quite frustrating as we had to actively defend our food from them. Reader mileage may vary.)

Very good food and service. We did not have the normal chef however the food was excellent. The service was wonderful once we were seated. Helpful with dish and drink selection given lots of the food and drink are local. Will come back Thanks

Yelp
We stopped in Apollo Bay for an overnight on our trip along The Great Ocean Road. We found this little gem of a restaurant. We arrived rather early (6:30/18:30) and were seated right away. We ordered a few appetizers - the carpaccio was delicious, as were the oysters and octopus. The sourdough bread would have kept me happy all by itself. We shared the Paella amongst the 4 of us and it was delicious. The whole experience was fantastic and would go back in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and stop by. The 2nd floor location would provide for some great views in summer.

Yelp
This is a gem of a place. Love the upstairs seating which overlook an amazing scenery. Although it was quite busy service was attentive. The good is scrumptious and the sliders were delicious, was an amazing combo of sweet sour and spicy. Very, very generous with the mussels which were delicious. Great selection of drinks and good coffee. Will definitely be coming back when we head down this way again.

Yelp
Unexpectedly great! Our friends and I are staying one night in Apollo Bay and looked for a place with simple, fresh and tasteful dishes. And we found our heaven at La Bimba! I only chose a side (their amazing Heirloom tomatos salad) but my friend ordered fresh vegetables, meat and fish. The fish to share was fantastic, the sides amazingly cooked sides. The meat were overcooked but we have been well advised on wines. Must try place down here!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious locally sourced food. We enjoyed our dinner so much, we went back for brunch! Fresh, beautifully presented muesli and egg on toast with avocado. Gorgeous views. A perfect stop for foodies on the Great Ocean Road.

Yelp
Nice view and even nicer staff this place is worth a look. The mains I feel are overpriced for what you would expect for the same in melbourne. However incredible desserts make up for this and I continue to dream about the peanut butter ice cream.

Yelp
Really exceptional food, far exceeds expectations for this quaint seaside town. Great fish, GF and DF-attentive.

Yelp
went here for breakfast on our epic tour of the Great Ocean Road, the weather was freezing and we ended up stopping in Apollo Bay just by chance. Starving we were scouring the place for breakfast cafes, and there were loads to choose from, we were just about to walk in to one when I noticed some peoples feet in the window on the first floor of the building next door. Immediately, I said we had to go there for the view alone, which was worth entering on its own. But inside the place had fantastic interior design; very modern with lots of wooden furniture and features created a very visually appealing location with a great view over the bay. Then to top it off the food was great, I had the Pancakes and my partner the Farmers Breakfast both were exquisite. I am planning to the GOR trip again soon and this time I will be planning my trip around stopping off there for food again.

Yelp
Breakfasts are decent with a pretty good Eggs Benedict on offer. Try to get a table by the windows on a nice day.

Yelp
We were almost late for the lunch menu but the staff were kind enough to let us have a table anyway. And we were glad they did. The space is modern and well done with great views through the open windows at the front. We ordered oysters and they were delicious. However, the main dishes surpassed them. Everything was very well done and full of flavour and each flavour quite unique. The kangaroo burgers are terrific, the skipper fillet was done to perfection but it was the sides of potatoes with rosemary and the beans which were the most outstanding. Highly recommend this great place on the great coast road :)

Yelp
The entree 'smoked eel' on a toast was tiny (18A$). The recommended Main Course 'leatherjacket' was acceptable. The restaurant is nice located, but noisy. Cannot recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
All I have to say about this place is what a complete let down. We were on a limited time schedule as we were on a bus and had a schedule to keep. While this isn't the restaurants fault, their behaviors were atrocious. We specifically asked the waitress what items on the menu would take the least amount of time, and she pointed out several appetizer items. We ordered a beef pie, 2 prawns and calamari. The beef pie was clearly made ahead of time and just had to be reheated. My prawns didn't need a lot of preparation and you can imagine the time it takes to deep fry some calamari. Needless to say it took 10 minutes to order and after 30 minutes we still had no food or even an acknowledgment of it will be right up. We had 5 minutes to get back to the bus when we asked the server how much longer and she said it's actually coming out now. We asked for it takeaway and for our bill so we could get going. She went back and told the chef that we needed our items for takeaway that we ran out of time and his response was...WHY THE F*&K DID THEY BOTHER ORDERING ANYTHING? Uh, yah, it's a small space and we heard your entire conversation you jackwad! We stood up, walked to the register and were so taken back by his comment and her lack of engagement we commented with that we felt bad even paying for the food and we should just leave and you can stick your food up your southern pie hole. She just handed us the bill, 3 plastic containers and stared wide eyed at us. We said, uh how about some silverware and napkins since it's takeaway? Oh ya she replied. We paid, told her we heard everything and left. Such a disappointment on such a beautiful expanse of roadway. I see that you don't have many reviews on Yelp and quite honestly I wouldn't send anyone your way after your chef's lack of respect for your patrons. You weren't super busy and guess what, you're there to take care of us, not the other way around! I feel robbed for paying $18 for 2 prawns with the behaviors you showed.
