La Bonâme de Bruno- Restaurant Lyon 1

If you have had enough Bouchons and want something new and inventive and light. Check out this restaurant. We had the soup - tasted very light and the coconut milk made it taste very Asian. The asparagus was amazing. For the mains, we had the pigeon - we did not know what to expect but it was cooked like a duck - it was a wonderful tasty dish. We ended the meal with a dessert of soup with chocolate ice cream and rice pudding. All dishes were wonderful and amazing! A must try in Lyon! Something different and inventive. Addendum: we enjoyed the food so much we decided to go back for another meal. We appreciate the fact that Chef goes out of his way to make your dish special - when we decided to share the pigeon - he made sure he plated it beautifully and today he went off menu and offered us Ox Tail and he saw my eyes light up. It was heavenly. It was so tender and the sauce was heavenly. Our appetizers tonight was escargot and Foie Gras - both presented nicely and tasted very good. Dessert was different tonight - crème brûlée with Grand Marnier making it taste different and from the usual brûlée’s and the rice pudding with coconut was very refreshing. Did not disappoint us. Thank you Chef for another wonderful meal

Starters, mains and desserts are all very creative and delicious. The last night dinner here in Lyon was definitely the best one. The chef is very friendly. We had a chat and he kindly saw us off. Recommend 100%!!

A very warm welcome. And the food is delicious except for the soup, the soup was extremely spicy I did not finish it. The beef was delicious. And the amazing part was the dessert, it will just transport you to a different dimension ❤

I have been going to Boname de Bruno for years; I feel at home there. The food is original and delicious. Bruno puts his soul into his art. The service is top notch. I would recommend repeated visits to truly appreciate this restaurant.

Excellent food with creative mind. The food is very initiative and adventurous (in a nice way). The chef is very attentive to detail. The price is very affordable and should be considered cheap for the quality of food and produces.

Wonderful friendly restaurant in a beautiful venue with tall French windows. Food was plentiful, with lots of flavours blending beautifully. Best restaurant we’ve been to in Lyon.
