La Botella de Leche Hostel

Bottella de leche is a fantastic place to stay in Tamarindo. The emplacement allows you to see a lot of things without needing a car. The staff is really nice and will accomodate you to your needs. The kitchen is well equiped and the pool is really clean.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay an extra night in Tamarindo and we found this place. Very cheap for one night (~$60 US) and the room was fairly nice as well. Not your high end resort, but an affordable option for sure. The people are great, especially if you’re young, the place gives the vibe of everybody knows everybody and the location of the place itself is right in the heart of Tamarindo, just off the main road. If you’re in your 20s or 30s travelling solo or as a couple I would definitely recommend!

A unforgettable experience! Botella de leche provides comfortable social areas which creates a environment suitable for everybody. With the location in the center of tamarindo you are on walking-distance to everywhere. The hospitality made the stay the most outstanding; fun, gentle and warm staff highlighting Facundo. Always making sure everybody feels at home, hosting beerpong events and dinnernights all while staying professional. Facundo turned a hostel to unforgettable memories. Thank you Botella de leche! I came for the surf camp and had a great time! The surf lessons were well organized and taught, the staff were friendly, the crocodile tour and yoga lesson were relaxing, and I stayed in the private room which was nice. The towels were a little old and the water did run out a couple times (one if not both of those times might’ve been due to the town not having water) but overall it was a super pleasant and comfortable stay!

It was a perfect experience. We booked a room for 2 and got 4 beds for a very reasonable price. The personal was great and very helpful. Good vibes and the pool was very clean and nice (even nicer with a beer) thank you too the personal for such a lovely stay.

This was my first hostel experience and they made it one to remember! The staff make this place, super lovely brother/sister hosts. The rest of the staff is super friendly and helpful. I stayed in the 8bed mixed dorm. Each bunk gets its own locker(big enough for 2 backpacks), towel, light above bed, charging outlet, privacy curtain and a security guard overnight. I was paranoid about the bug situation, I haven’t seen a single one crawling around (besides mosquitos but that’s inevitable). This place is cleaned daily and it shows. They are renovating at the moment so a few things are closed (yoga,gym,store) so there is that, but the pool and common areas are lovely. It’s right next to a great gym and walkable to everything you need. Would 100000% recommend, muchas muchas gracias Botella de leche🩵

BEST HOSTEL IN TAMARINDO! From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed like family. The staff are very chill and genuine, they don’t just work there, they become your friends. There’s a nice sense of community that makes the place feel like home. It's affordable, especially considering it’s in the best location in town, minutes away from everything you need like the beach and nightlife, supermarket, pharmacy, and the two major national banks right across - yet not positioned directly on the high street, which makes it highly central but tranquil. They offer several activities like surfing, snorkelling and tours. There's a big, clean, well-equipped communal kitchen, free coffee all day, a beautiful swimming pool, plenty of spaces to hang out or work - and a cute pet cat, Chocolate. They also have free parking spaces right in front of the hostel and even offer a laundry service. It's literally got everything you could want in a hostel, along with a positive, welcoming vibe that’s rare to find. I extended my stay multiple times because of this place. Can’t recommend it enough! If you’re staying in Tamarindo, this is the place to be.

Despite modern-looking design the hostel dirty and poorly managed (see below). The worst is however, that the staff is outright rude. I have paid two nights, and inquired asap to extend for one more. Once I came to pay at 11am for the extra night, the young woman at the reception lied into my face, demanding to pay 170% the rate or "get the f**** out right now". It doesn't end here - they have attempted a fraudulent transaction on my bank card after I've left. Charging AGAIN for the 2 nights that have been already paid, the bank security has declined that, then they cancelled the reservation retroactively to avoid bad review.||||Private room is so much NOT worth the money. Very dark, with small windows that don't open. The bathroom is worse - one really dirty "window" concealed behind a curtain. No ventilation. Moldy and humid. The common kitchen is outright gross and cluttered.
