La Botella de Leche Hostel

The hostel is really beautiful and clean. It has a big kitchen. Everybody was really friendly. The pool is nice and there is also a gym room to use. The surf lessons are great with more than one instructor and just few minutes walk to the beach. We would love to come back to this place

Awesome hostel experience! Everything was perfect. The rooms were super clean, the common space were very welcoming and the staff always made sure of our comfort! It’s the perfect place to meet a lot of great people. Leo, the owner was very kind and gave us a lot of advice on the many activities to do in Costa Rica. We had a lot of fun! I fully recommend the experience!!

Hands down one of the best hostel experiences I’ve ever had! The location is absolutely perfect—close to everything but still feels like a chill escape. The accommodations were super clean, cozy, and comfortable. Now let’s talk about the staff—Geronimo, Marcos, and Leo are absolute legends. So welcoming, helpful, and honestly just good vibes all around. They made it feel less like a stay and more like a little community. There were always fun activities going on too—perfect mix of social and relaxing. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this place makes it easy to connect with people and enjoy every minute.

Absolutely LOVED my stay here! This place is a little slice of paradise – super chill vibes, beautiful surroundings, and everything you need to unwind and enjoy. The hostel itself is colorful, cozy, and full of character. The pool area is perfect for relaxing with a beer or meeting new people, and the whole space just feels warm and welcoming. But what really made the experience next level was the staff – especially Jeronimo! This guy goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels at home. Always smiling, always helpful, and just an all-around legend. If you're heading to the area and want a hostel that feels like home with a seriously good vibe, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back!

My friend and I had a great time staying here would definitely stay again. We got a private room and it was nicer than I expected. The only con if you could really call it that was there is no hot water but luckily its hot here so its not so bad.

Great people, great room and lots of amenities, we had an amazing stay. The staff was super nice and friendly and the activities were super fun and well organized. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the people at the front desk were there if we needed anything. Overall, I 100% recommend staying there if you can!

I really really enjoyed my time here. Everyone was so welcoming and I had so much fun getting to know the staff as well as the other awesome guests staying as well. It felt like a home away from home. Super clean and tidy with a large spacious outdoor kitchen and awesome pool! Hammocks hanging outside of the room was so relaxing after a long day of surfing. Jordi was such an amazing instructor!! So so patient, kind and truly knowledgeable of the ocean and surf! 10/10 would recommend anyone looking for a surf getaway in Tamarindo to stay here! They also offer other excursions and sometimes they have little parties at night where everyone gets together and has so so much fun!! Will be back for sure 🤙

This place is simple and what you ask for a simple hotel/Hostel. Stuff is very friendly and extremely helpful, esp. when I needed help for airport shuttle. They treated you as friend and help you all they can. Simple room and common kitchen area. Real budget option and I felt good staying. If you want to spend some time in Tamarindo, I would recommend for young travellers or one/several nights layover before catching flight back home. Thanks Jeronimo!
