This is The Place to go for lounge chair service by a pool. Very pretty setting. Kind and welcoming wait staff. Very good bar drinks. Decent food. No charge for loungers. Just eat and drink a bit while you enjoy the sun. Best option around Governor's Harbour.

Stellar experience at La Bougainvillea! My twin sister and I were celebrating a BIG birthday and our retirements so we really wanted the trip to be very special and La Boug was just perfect! From our earliest communications with Teres and Sonam (and many date changes, up to the very last day!), we felt that we were dealing with a highly professional operation which reflected warm hospitality, personable service, professional efficiency, and a desire to make our experience of Eleuthera as memorable as possible. When we arrived, we were greeted with a cool delicious rum and citrus drink and the relaxed vibe which continued to be the environment at La Boug for the rest of our week. We had chosen the See Sea cottage for the two of us so we could each have our room, bathroom and balcony and it was 100% worth it! The cottage was immaculately clean, well equipped with a "foodie-grade" efficient kitchen, a large living room, two large bedrooms (one with a sea view and one with a garden view), a small but refreshing pool, plenty of beach towels, a grill, picnic table, etc. We treasured the privacy and "homey-ness" of having our own place while also being able to quickly access the resort with its crystal-clear Infinity pool, restaurant, and .... oh.... the BEACH! Words cannot describe the soft pink sand, turquoise waters, and quiet beauty of La Boug's private beach: of all the beaches we visited, it remained the BEST! Because of the central position of La Boug, we were able to capitalize on all our days on Eleuthera driving to both ends of the island to explore beaches and sights, souvenir-hunting in Governor Harbor, and grocery shopping at Island Farm (only ten minutes away!). We had only one dinner at the restaurant, on the night when we arrived: though the menu was a bit meat-heavy for our taste (we would have liked more seafood dishes), our meal of seafood pasta and grilled grouper with vegetables was excellent and the sound-track of crashing waves added a magical touch to the opening night of our vacation.

We had an amazing time here. Service was great. The food was amazing! We came back twice. I LOVED the rice and peas. The sausage sandwich was too good too. The cocktails were amazing. Really enjoyed it here and will miss it!

We just returned from a 5 night visit to La Bougainvillea. From the time we arrived to the moment we left, it was just spectacular. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable-they truly have the most kind and hospitable staff. ||The resort is small so never feels crowded. It overlooks the most beautiful stretch of sugary pinkish white sand with direct beach access. It also has a beautiful infinity pool that we took advantage of (and the poolside drink service :)) It is also only about 10 minutes from Governor’s Harbor, if you need to go into town for anything. It is a little over an hour from the Gene’s Bay dock/preachers cave/Blue hole. The drive is easy though and the landscape is just stunning-and the amentities of the hotel make the drive well worth it!!||We booked a Queen Garden room and it was perfect for my family of 4 (2 kids ages 17 and 10). The bed was heavenly, and I slept like a baby every night. The mattress was so comfortable and the sheets were a cool, crisp cotton-starched to perfection. I have to give props to the house cleaning staff because not only are the bed immaculately everyday. The room was also large enough that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other which was nice! There is a mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room and the shower was nice and large. The room also felt light and airy. ||The restaurant was delicious and we ate there quite a bit. The service was great and I really appreciated that they were so conscious of my daughter’s peanut allergy and all of the servers took note of that at all of the meals. ||I had considered other hotels on the island , but so glad I ended up with LaBougainvillea. It is truly a gem!

I had such a wonderful experience thanks to our server, Precious! From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. She was attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at just the right times. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. She also was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations that made our appetizers even better. It’s rare to find someone who makes the whole lunch experience so seamless and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again I’ll be asking for Precious again! Highly recommend!

We stayed here towards the end of our stay at Eleuthera. Mr. Sonam, Terez, and team took utmost care of us, even planning an impromptu birthday celebration for my dad's birthday with no notice. The lunch there was wonderful, they prepared dishes not on the menu to cater to dietary needs for some people in our group.|It's a small boutique hotel so never overcrowded - the hotel beach was as good as private and they had set up everything for us outside to enjoy it. They provided us with snorkels and kayaks, etc. |All in all great experience!

Attentive and friendly staff with beautiful ocean views. On staff masseuse for massages by the ocean.

The expensive drinks were very watered down.I would not recommend getting any cocktails here. They are alcohol free. I would drink beer instead. The shrimp dynamite appetizer was wonderful so were the shrimp tacos. The service was slow with no one in there. It was off season. Sit by the water the view is beautiful.
