"For something “light” (think sandwiches, quiche, or sinfully delicious pastries) and indeed, for some of the mellowest java in town, La Boulangerie is a top recommendation. The fine pastry work of its Parisian owner assures a brief trip to the ville lumière with every bite. In addition to the great taste, the bakery is conveniently located across the bridge from the artisan market, just above where the buses leave for Machu Picchu, and opens at 5:00 a.m.Everything aligns to make this a great spot to pick up caffeine and carbs to fuel early morning visits to the archaeological site—and great for a post-hike pick-me-up."

I came here as I only had little time to get on the train and mentioned that when I ordered. Super fast service and a great club sandwich! The egg was part of the bread in a way I never had it before and the meat was also prepared different to what I am used to - but in a good way!

After four days of hiking the Salkantay Trek, as good French travelers, we were craving something comforting and searched for a “boulangerie” on Google Maps. La Boulangerie de Paris was a delightful surprise for such a remote location. We stopped for a well-deserved goûter, ordering two frappés and two Nutella waffles, which were absolutely delicious. The friends we made during the trek joined us as well, crowding the small space, but the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Together, we tried a variety of items: cookies, Danish bread (which could have used a bit more cream), maracuya cheesecake, burgers, fries, Nutella and cheese crêpes, and more frappés. Everything—except for the Danish bread—was truly excellent. To be fair, I may be slightly biased as a Frenchman, and a very hungry one on this occasion, but this spot really hit the mark after days of rice and chicken. Highly recommended if you’re in Aguas Calientes before or after visiting Machu Picchu.

Great little spot for eating before heading to Machu Picchu. Food was amazing. The service was actually prompt and accurate. Friendly people. We had Fidel helping us and Janet. We actually came back twice in one day cus our son loved the crepe with Nutella. Great experience. 10/10 recommend.

Great scenic spot - Good coffee - Big croissants While waiting for our tour to begin, we made a pit stop to get an americano and sweets. We got the croissants to go which were huge! The americano was a good and rich coffee, we also got the Oreo cheesecake which was a dud but overall we liked the ambiance. It’s a great place to grab a coffee and wait. Very nice hostesses!

Nestled in the charming town of Aguas Calientes, La Boulangerie de Paris is a delightful gem that every traveler should visit. This quaint coffee shop, conveniently located near the train station and just across the bridge, offers a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some of the best pastries and beverages. Upon entering, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked croissants and rich coffee. The croissants here are simply divine, with a perfect balance of flakiness and buttery goodness. The pain au chocolat, in particular, stands out as one of the best I've ever had – it's an absolute must-try. The coffee is equally impressive, providing a robust and smooth complement to the pastries. For those who prefer a lighter refreshment, the juice options are fresh and invigorating, offering a delightful burst of flavor. La Boulangerie de Paris's location is another highlight. Being so close to the train station makes it a convenient stop for both arriving and departing travelers. Despite Aguas Calientes being a small town, this café is easy to find and definitely worth the visit.

I ordered a crepe and chose “fudge” as a topping, expecting a small drizzle of chocolate across the crepe. Instead it looked like they dumped an entire bottle of Hershey’s syrup on the crepe. The crepe and fruits looked delicious, but Hershey’s syrup tastes so bad that the rest of the crepe was soggy and didn’t taste good.

Food and coffee was ok. Location was nice. However… I felt irritated that they only take cash. I didn’t know this until after I finished eating and was ready to pay. I had $100 with me, but they took 4% of that with their exchange rate of 3.50 soles to the dollar, while the blue dollar rate was 3.66 soles. I understand that they have costs, being on Main Street, etc. however that was just poor service in my opinion. It left a bad impression on me. Bring cash, or don’t go if you are not prepared to pay the ransom

Lovely find in Agues Calientes. At the end of the bridge that takes you to the Machu Pichu bus queue. Beautiful cakes and coffees. Ordered toasted sandwiches and coffee. Staff all lovely and helpful and despite language barriers, we managed to order with the aid of some finger pointing and menus! Would highly recommend.
