Stumbled across this place on my first night in Rennes and it was so good that I returned several times. Love that you can also buy a coffee here and enjoy it outside with one of their delicious treats. From bread to pastries, ready made baguettes and so much more, you're spoiled got choice here. The almond croissant was so rich and buttery, perfect with my morning coffee. Service, decor and prices are on point too.

Bought a Paris-Brest and a far breton. Very tasty. Really good value for money. Friendly staff. The boulangerie was full and buzzing

Went in during my lunch break to buy a sandwich and I was refused service because I was on the phone with my mom (lunch is the only time I can call her). They said they don’t serve customers who are on the phone because it doesn’t encourage “contact”. They skipped me twice in the queue without any mention of why and I had to I sit to be able to buy a sandwich...

The service was very friendly! The pastry didn’t have much taste which was super disappointing :(

Best bakery in Rennes. The pain aux raisin is the move (as is the kouign amann).

This is a really good place to eat Though in Rennes for just a few days on a student exchange, I did manage to eat a lot of French food, more specifically good French food. During my stay, I ate lunch almost everyday at La Boulangerie Hoche and learned that in addition to a warm, inviting atmosphere due to decor and employees, the food was absolutely delicious. I can't honestly say much about price, considering that I received my food for free (I stayed with the family that owns the bakery), but for quality, I definitely recommend eating at La Boulangerie Hoche.
