We visited this hotel at the recommendation of the Rick Steve’s guidebook and Trip Advisor and were very pleased with our stay. First, the location in a quiet part of the 7th was wonderful and only two minutes to the Metro station Ecole Militaire and a very short walk to the Champs du Mar. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary to splurged a bit on a superior room with Eiffel Tower view, which was worth it. (Better to book directly on the hotel’s website). Our reception was warm, and they quickly stored our bags as our flight had arrived early in the morning. After checking in, we were pleased with the size of the superior room and its overall condition, with a good amount of storage. Breakfast options are extensive and complimentary if you show a copy of the Rick Steves Paris guidebook at check-in (what a perk!). There were a wide variety of pastries, eggs, bacon, meats and cheeses, and yogurt. Tea and coffee were prepared to order by the server. Because of the summer temperatures, we chose to take the Metro to see the various museums and sights, which worked so well thanks to Apple map directions. The bed was very comfortable and this was one of the rare hotel stays that I didn’t wake up with a back ache. A minor problem occurred with an air-conditioning repair during our stay on the fifth floor, but the manager quickly brought a fan and offered a portable A/C unit. While it was being repaired, they were extremely apologetic and sent a hand-written note and delivered caramels and macarons! Around the corner is Rue Cler, a beautiful and quaint street that offers a glimpse into Parisian life with gelato, flower and chocolate vendors, a Boulangerie and multiple cafes. We found ourselves spending time there every evening before retiring to the hotel. (Also highly recommend the restaurant Milagro 1 street over on Bousquet.) This was our first trip to Paris and based on the location we service at this hotel, I would definitely return.
