I chose La Bavaroise for my last lunch in Casablanca, expecting a pleasant French brasserie experience, but unfortunately it was disappointing.
The service felt cold and unfriendly throughout — no smile, no warmth, and very limited engagement. I ordered a bottle of wine and a steak, clearly requesting medium rare, yet the steak was served well done. When I raised this with the waiter, the only response was a brief “sorry,” with no offer to replace the dish or resolve the issue.
Mistakes in food can happen, but the lack of follow-up and care made the experience uncomfortable. Combined with the indifferent service attitude, it left us feeling unwelcome rather than relaxed.
Given this experience, it’s difficult to understand why the restaurant maintains such a high rating on Google. There is clear room for improvement, particularly in service professionalism and attention to customer requests
