Our favorite place in Spain. The food is amazing, I don’t even have words for the quality and the speed of this wonderful restaurant. We ordered three different dishes and every single one was perfect. I recommend it to everyone visiting Seville — it’s absolutely worth going. Bruna, a Brazilian who served us, was such a sweetheart. We truly felt home!

Lunch @ La Brunilda in the Old Town quarter of El Arenal. A small Tapas Bar and Restaurant recommended by friends. The food and service were very good, the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Not your standard Spanish Tapas fair but very creative dishes that were well prepared and presented. We had the Tuna Tataki, Wok noodles with Pork, and Duck confit with spiced carrot puree. These were all the "Tapas" portion (small size) but were just right for us to share

An amazing place! We had no expectations, and this was the first restaurant we went to after arriving in Seville. Best patatas bravas! The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We tried many of the dishes mentioned in other reviews, and they didn’t disappoint. I would definitely visit again when I’m in Seville. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this tapas restaurant! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and you could really feel the care put into each plate. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for sharing food and enjoying the moment. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better. This is definitely a place I would come back to and highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience authentic and delicious tapas.

Amazing dinner at La Brunilda. These are the best tapas we had during our stay. They managed to keep some of the traditional tapas such as croquetas or salmorejo but gourmet version or with an interesting twist. The location is perfect, the staff was absolutely adorable, and the ambiance is super cosy (no loud music, perfect for a chill evening or a date). We arrived at the opening with no reservation and managed to get a spot at the bar, but you probably should book to make sure you get a spot. Would 100% recommend and 100000% come back again next time I'm in Sevilla!

Sublime!!!! Fusion Tapas. Best in Seville. Staff work really hard are helpful and friendly, kitchen staff deliver consistently exceptional food, the menu is varied and location accessible. Bravo La Brunilda!! Book to avoid disappointment.

I first visited this restaurant five years ago when I came to Seville, and I remember being amazed by the food—it left a lasting impression on me. Years later, I returned, and this time I ordered six dishes with smaller portions because I wanted to try as many different dishes as possible. However, this visit felt a bit disappointing. Among the six dishes, I found the bravas potatoes particularly impressive, but the rest were rather average. For the meat dishes, both the duck confit and the pork shoulder were served with sweet potatoes, which added sweetness and acted as the main starch, but the pairing felt somewhat unbalanced.

I love it all. The food sounds simple but the taste and the presentation are extra. The service is nice and the staff are attentive and the place is cozy. One thing that you should do is to book before you go, otherwise you will miss it because the place is quite small and they have lots of customers. I will go to try more food again soon. If you go to Seville, this restaurant is highly recommended.

This is an excellent Restaurant , The food is top class ! The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us ! There was beautiful music playing all the time which made for a great ambiance ? Worth a visit

Our favorite meal so far in Seville. We booked a table for right when they opened at 8:30pm and it was very busy so I recommend a reservation. The inside is a nice upscale dining with mint green colors/cool lighting. The food was phenomenal. The cod fritters blew us away and paired perfectly with the peach aioli. The patatas bravas were delicious with a sweet/spicy tomato sauce with mayo drizzled on top. The risotto was very creamy and cheesy. The burger was fantastic with a load of aioli and freshly made sweet potato chips on the side. We highly recommend a reservation for La Brunilda while you are in Seville!

Oh my, this is easily THE BEST place I ate at in all of Spain! This place is an absolute must, but make sure you make a reservation if you want to dine here. When we arrived at opening for our reservations, we saw them turn a few people away who attempted to dine as walk-ins. The restaurant has a modern and clean ambiance. Almost everything on the menu has a half portion, which I really liked --this meant I got to order and try more items. Although they recommend about 2 half portions per person, we couldn't help but order 5 items. To start, we had the Risotto (€8.90) and Grilled Octopus (€12). The octopus is so tender and the vegetable gives a nice balance, which is perfect as a starter. But the risotto is out of this world --easily one of my favorite risottos for how cheesy it is with the truffle flavor from the mushrooms too. It's a match made in heaven! Next, we had a variety of meat dishes: Duck Confit (€7.90), Sirloin Steak (€12), and Grilled Iberian Pork Shoulder (€8.90). The steak was perfectly cooked and a must for all carnivores. You also have to get the duck for how nicely it is presented, although I wish there was more meat on the duck. I would probably pass on the pork as it didn't stand out to me, but it was very tender. This was such a memorable meal that is worth coming to Seville for. I wish I had more room in my stomach to try all the dishes, especially the desserts. This means I will definitely need to come back one day. Until then, come eat here and experience it for yourself.

Thinking back on my trip, La Brunilda was my favorite meal in Portugal and Spain. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Definitely stop by for a meal while you're in Seville! I made reservations for Friday night dinner at 8:30 maybe 2.5 weeks beforehand and it was a very easy process. When we came, we were quickly seated. There wasn't much of a line up outside, so I think you may be able to walk in if you're willing to wait a little bit, but definitely try to make a reservation if possible. We started with a sangria and beer each for 5€ and 1.70€ each respectively. It was a huge glass of sangria and was on the stronger side. Could definitely taste the red wine. We each ordered a couple of tapas dishes. I had the arroz negro (9.50€), tuna tataki (8.90€), and duck confit (8.50€). He had the grilled cheese (6.90€) and Cajun chicken with guacamole (6.90€). The duck and the tuna tataki were both excellent, but the real star of the show for me was the arroz negro. I don't know how to describe how good this dish was, but every bite was incredibly full of the cuttlefish flavor (similar to squid). The rice was super moist and the aioli bits on top added extra creaminess to the already moist rice. I savored every single bite of this dish and was super reluctant once I got to the end. I already know I will be dreaming about this arroz negro in future years. My friend really enjoyed his grilled cheese and chicken with guacamole as well. We both agreed this was our favorite meal of the trip.

Service was great, just as the food. The ambience was amazing, just like the city. The ubication of this restaurant is also perfect, just at the centre of the city.

We decided to come here after reading the reviews and were so glad we did! La Brunilda was by far the best restaurant we ate at during our trip in Seville. Starting with the restaurant, it had a causal but classy vibe to it. Decor was elegant and was a little small but it feels like most restaurants are like that here. The staff were amazing, very friendly and professional and I think it was a fully woman run and staffed business. Moving to the food, it was absolutely amazing! We got their cod with peach aioli, pulled pork taco, wok with noodles, duck, and sirloin steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The cod was fried perfectly where it wasn't over fried or too oily and the sweet peach aioli perfectly accented the dish. The duck was cooked so well that it fell off the bone and was super moist and not dry at all. The pulled pork taco melted in your mouth as you ate and was seasoned so well. And the steak was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor packed into it. Hands down the most delicious food I had in Seville. I would highly recommend this place!

Salt cod fritters - This is not croquette. If you think it textured like a croquette you will be disappointed. It's doughy but taste real good. The sauce is on the sweet side. Frankly, I prefer the way Portuguese did for theirs. Not crazy about doughy batter but doesn't mean it's not good. Just not my favorite. Mushroom risotto - Must try! The mushroom flavor exploded into the cheesey perfectly cooked risotto. Grilled Iberian pork shoulder - The pork was perfectly seasoned though, a bit tough on the texture but taste good. The sweet potatoes not too sweet and really compliment the pork well. Duck confit - That's an amazing dish, no wonder people recommended it. The sauce was extraordinary. Not too salty and a tint of sweetness. The carrot cream was perfectly sweetened the dish.

We visited La Brunilda while traveling through Sevilla. La Brunilda is unassuming from the outside but the tapas really pack a punch on the inside. We tried multiple small plates; pork, beef, tuna, cheese, cod and all were spot on. Great flavor with a very reasonable price. I'd also recommend giving the sangria a try if you're looking for a refreshing beverage of choice. Polite service and each small plate was brought out in proper succession of one another. A definite tapas stop in Sevilla.

Want to eat here? Make a reservation. It only seats 30. We came here at 1620 ("kitchen closes in 10 minutes") and inquired about a dinner reservation. Only availability was at 2215. Cerveza Pork Taco - shredded pork with a different flavor. Very good. Croquettes - delicious ham & cheese €23.70 for snack for 2

Beyond compare! Reserve in advance you will not be disappointed! Everything we ate was better than the last. Amazing!

Great tapas spot a bit out of the tourist center. We didn't have a reservation so arrived about 15 mins before opening, and by the time they opened at 8:30 there was a giant line behind us. They politely asked that we finish by 10, which was fine with us since we had an early flight the next morning but just a heads up if you like to linger over your meal. Our waitress spoke perfect English and was very friendly. We had the pork taco (if you're from Southern California, skip this - Mexican restaurants do it better), pork shoulder, risotto (sooo buttery and yummy), potatoes bravas and cod fritters. I stuck to wine, but the sangria seemed to be popular. Overall food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

We were able to get bar seats without waiting for lunch but best to make reservations. It's very popular place and is always full. Tapas dishes were all great - differently and rich flavored, well presented, even the accompanying sauces were great. Really enjoyed everything. Service was pretty decent as well even though they were busy. Highly recommended!

Make a reservation . Go back more then once if you can. Our first evening in Seville and so glad we made it without reservations . The tapas was huge and so many choices in the menu. And we could understand what we were ordering! Scan menu on your phone . Most places seems to be doing this instead of paper menus . We came back for dinner the 3rd evening in Seville and ordered all different tapas . There was not one dish we didn't like ! I am Posting the menu and maybe you can pair the dish to menu. I have forgotten . It was all so good .

Some of the best tapas I have had in Spain. We were lucky and got a booking for an hour later than we arrived out of sheer luck as it was Semana Santa. The food was amazing. Well presented and full of flavor. I know what you'll say...don't tell me you got patatas bravas, but is literally my favorite dish because I've never met a potato I didn't like. I digress. They were AMAZING. Authentic, perfectly prepared, and not like the lazy premixed creamed hot sauces many tapas places use now. The risotto with idiazabal cheese was divine!!!! Everything was terrific and well worth the wait.

The two stars are for the good food. The cod, steak, and duck dishes were well made, but the indifference of the staff made for a terrible experience. Though, the dish with the soy glaze was too salty. My wife and I are Asians and we ate at the restaurant twice, two days apart during our stay in Seville. The first time we showed up at the restaurant, the staff ignored making eye contact with us, while we stood in the middle of the restaurant. The place is small and it was impossible not to see us enter. After more than five minutes of standing in a half empty restaurant, someone finally seated us. We enjoyed the food and thought the poor service was due to poor communication. Two days later, we returned to dine (the restaurant was down the street of our hotel). We arrived on time for our reservation, but we were still made to wait at least five minutes in the middle of the restaurant, while, the staff made every effort to avoid eye contact. Our eventual waitress even went around us to set the different tables. We were willing to accept poor services, but not racism. Three other Asian customers arrived after we did and they had had to over for a long time after asking for a table. The staff displayed the same indifference. However, when "white" Europeans showed, they were greeted and seated immediately. There was one friendly curly blond hair staff member, but I think she was a food runner. The menu has interesting dishes, but all Asians should avoid this racist restaurant.

This place was straight up amaze-balls. The food--like the costeño cheese with avocado, arugula, and sweet chili sauce--is to die for. Service is fast and attentive; whenever we had a request, our desires were brought to us in a matter of minutes. On top of that, the waiters and waitresses were nice to everyone. As for the ambiance, the speakers played upbeat music, bringing a vital and happy attitude to the restaurant. The niche around the back of the restaurant had a small octopus mural featured on it. The sound of the sizzling skillets, pans, and woks as the cooks prepare their mouth-watering meals and the blue roof and walls introduces a hustled yet chic vibe to the restaurant feel. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes eccentric tapas, has a mature palate, and is ready for their tastebuds to be saturated in a splash of bliss.

We didn't have a reservation (highly recommended), but they took us in, and the food was very good.

We love Seville for its historical buildings and architectures but the hidden gems among these structures are the restaurants. La Brunilda is one of these great finds. We love the tapas style of dining because we can experience a lot more dishes for a lot cheaper. All tapas dishes ordered were excellent and each has its own distinct flavor. From duck confit to grilled octopus, they were all amazing. The service was a little lacking and trying due to our lack of Spanish. But food is an international language that unites all of us.

Hands down the best place I ate at in Sevilla! I went 10 minutes before opening and was able to get in a party of four with no reservation, but there was a line of ten or so people waiting with me so I'd definitely recommend getting a reservation if possible. Aside from the lamb, almost every dish was the best version of that dish I'd ever eaten. The Tuna Tataki was absolutely sensational, it was perfectly cooked and looked beautiful too. Duck and octopus were also cooked to perfection and so tender. Lamb was a little chewy, but seasoned well nonetheless. The dessert was amazing as well- certainly worth saving room for in my opinion. All in all, a restaurant you need to try if you're in the area!

Best meal we've had so far in Spain. They seated us without a reservation. The waitress was very kind. The cod fritters and sirloin plates were outstanding. The service was fast. Highly recommended.

The kind of places you need to go to start loving tapas, did not look a lot from the outside but the inside was filled with people. We ordered multiple tapas and loved them all, grilled cheese with sweet sauce and avocado is something I will make again myself.

These reviews are not exaggerations: the food is terrific. Be sure to make a reservation though; we saw numerous folks without a reservation get turned away.

The best restaurant in Sevilla in my opinion. I was there three days and reserved a seat at the restaurant every single day! The food was exceptionally good.

We had a lovely meal at La Azotea earlier today and when we decided to come to La Brunilda for dinner, I was a bit worried that it would not quite measure up. Wow, I was wrong. The two of them in combination possibly made today the best foodie day of my life thus far. We were very lucky to have booked an Airbnb nearby so we were able to keep an eye out for the line at the restaurant. We heard some chatter at 8:05pm, ~25 min before opening, half of our party went early to line up and we were seated in the first meal service. By the time the restaurant opened, there was a loooooong line. We were a little too eager at first but thankfully, our waiter told us he was worried that we had ordered too much food. We downgraded the sizes of what we ordered and ended up with: Risotto (smaller size): I've had some pretty bad risotto recently and this risotto has restored my faith in all other risottos! I'm quickly growing to be a fan of Idiazabal cheese, which gives such a luxurious but almost subtle creamy/buttery flavor. We all took a bite and immediately went "oh my god"!! Get it. You will not regret it. Croquettes of the day: today they had both Iberian ham and chicken curry. The smaller order comes with 3 pieces- all of which melt in your mouth. Delicious. My sister said that it made all other croquettes fade in comparison- this was also her favorite dish of the entire day. Warm salad with mixed greens: delicious salad- comes in what appears to be a small bowl but is more than enough to easily feed 3-4. Lovely dressing and varying textures. Scallops with black linguini (larger size): possibly the least favorite of the group- scallops were cooked well but mom was not a fan of the tomato sauce on top. She said she felt the taste had overwhelmed the scallops. I shared a scallop with my sister, who does not like tomatoes, and in dividing it in half, had incidentally not consumed my scallops with the tomato. Separately, they tasted great. Personally thought there could have been a stronger sauce for the linguini. Iberian pork shoulder (larger size): my dad had a different cut of Iberian pork last night which was not nearly as successful as the one we had tonight. Moist, tender, still slightly chewy- really good dish. Foie gras with poached pears: on my top 3 of the day!!! Foie gras was soft and melted upon the tongue. I was unsure about how it would work with the poached pear but both my mom and I were incredibly impressed at how well they paired together. Best of all... we got the small portion for €6!!! Grilled squid: finally... another dish that was an instant hit with the family. The squid was tender- not chewy at all- and the roe added a burst of saltiness without distracting from the squid. Asked my mom how she would describe the squid: "exquisite". So... somehow all of that (+1 coke, 3 beers and 1 sangria- sangria is not particularly impressive btw) amounted to €81,50! 100% well worth it. 5/5 would recommend La Brunilda to anyone visiting Seville. Note: not open on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

This was by far the best meal that I've had in Spain the entire time we were there. Also disclaimer, this place is nice, but there is no AC so beware in summer time. We were sweating the entire time. That being said again, the food here was amazing. We got: Beetroot Gazpacho - with Goat cheese and black olive powder. Honestly, I've never had anything like this and it was amazing. The only bad bad thing is that now I think I can never go back to regular gazpacho. The beets are perfectly sweet and make the gazpacho have a creamy texture. Amazing. Cajun Style Chicken with Guacamole - Also very good. Cooked perfectly, tender and there was a large portion of guac. Can't go wrong with this, but not the star of the show. Scallops with black linguini, green bean and tomato pesto - This was the only thing we got the large version for and thank god we did. The star of the show. The scallops were so tender and soft. The pasta had this amazing buttery flavor and was just the best thing I've eaten in Spain. Definitely get this. But now looking at the menu, might be more worth it to get 3 tapas instead of the large version... Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Potatoes - A large portion of steak, especially for a tapa size. Steak was cooked to between medium and medium rare and was very juicy. Salt Cod Fritters - VERY VERY SALTY. Would not get this. While the first was cooked well, this was extremely salty. Only so so dish of the place. Overall, great place to check out. Hopefully you come in the winter time though when it is cooler and no need for AC. They also give everyone free olives which are very mild and not too salty. Love it!

One of the highest rated places near our airbnb! This restaurant lived up to the hype. We got a few items in tapa size and they were all good! We ordered the following: Jamon croquettes - The croquettes were delicious. I think they used chicken broth in the filling because it was savory but not too salty. Grilled squid with herring roe - The squid was only okay but I liked the way it was presented. It came with an egg as well as some large bread crumbs. The herring roe was VERY salty and it overpowered the taste of the squid. Beef tenderloin - The tenderloin was good but slightly overcooked because that's the way meat tends to be cooked in Spain! We got a few reddish pieces :). The crispy potatoes that came with the beef were perfection. Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Foie gras - Last but not least, the foie gras! Loved it! The foie was on the small side but absolutely delicious. I love sweet and savory so this pairing was delightful. The pears were soaked in red wine and the dish also came with small pieces of bread. All of the items were plated beautifully and very reasonably priced. We spent close to $50 with 4 glasses of wine! Service wasn't great but mostly because it was very difficult to flag them down. This restaurant is SUPER busy so try to get a seat at the bar while you wait for a table.

My recent experience at La Brunilda Was exquisite. From the wine to the tapas everything was delicious. One of the best risottos I've ever had, it was creamy, yet not overly rich but very flavorful. The foie gras fish was also delicious as was The squid. I would definitely come back. Our server was also excellent.

One of the better tapas places we had in Spain. Everything we tried was delicious and for a very reasonable price. The duck confit and patatas bravas were definitely the highlights of our meal. Would recommend this spot!

An absolute MUST if you're in Sevilla! The food was cooked to perfection and it's extremely affordable. I honestly found it funny that my water was more expensive than my sangria. I'll let my photos do the talking on this one but try as many dishes as you can, especially the duck, beef and iberian pork!

Went here and it was amazing! We were lucky and got there right before it opened so we were able to be seated (after the ten different parties ahead of us)... when there's a line you know it's good! = WHAT WE GOT = + fried cod : the sauce was to die for, and the cod came in small ball shaped pieces. It was a bit salty so I don't think I would get it again. Overall, not bad though I wouldn't get it again. + Scallop Linguini: okay this was AMAZING. One of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. The linguini was buttery and very soft, the scallop was seared to perfection. GET THE FULL SIZE. + Beef with potatoes and thyme: another great dish! I highly recommend it, and it's such a big portion (for the tapas!). The beef was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were seasoned well. + Cheese with Jam: my friend said it tasted like Costco cheese, and the cheese slices were cut like subway cheese. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it! + beetroot gazpacho: I'm not a fan of gazpacho but even I thought it was delicious! Recommend.

Very young & energetic crowd in a somewhat back alley street, this is a place to seek out. We lucked out and got the last table for lunch (around 2:45 or so). It was packed the entire time we were there with people waiting at the bar for tables to open. We can now see why. We had 4 of the best Tapas of our trip here. I would say pick anything and you won't go wrong. We had Duck Confit - Scallop - Gorgonzola & Nut Croquets and as recommended by our server the Asparagus & Mushroom Risotto. We got the small Tapas size but all can be ordered in the larger size. With 4 beers the bill came to around $29 US. We're thinking of going to their sister restaurant if we're back in that neighborhood

The service was prompt and thorough. The food was delicious. This location is a quaint place off the beaten path but well worth searching for.

Best meal we had in Seville. The risotto and duck confit are must haves. If you can't get a reservation then get in line at least 10 minutes before opening and they have tables for walk ins for a limited period of time.

This could possibly be one of the best deals for food in all of Spain. While La Brunilda is no longer a secret, they do not take reservations so make sure you get here 15 minutes before they open to queue up or you'll be out of luck. Trust me when I say this, get the Tapas sized portions. They are extremely large and cheap. My favorites of the night were definitely the Burrata salad and the Risotto. Do not miss this restaurant. This is one of the times that the hype was correct.

Food was excellent. It has a great vibe. We had several tapas and sangria. Everything was awesome. I highly recommend this place.

We had the tuna, the melted cheese with the sweet and spicy and ofcourse we tried the duck which is one of their most famous dish. The melted cheese was good but not amazing. The tuna was very tasty. And the duck was delicious. Service was as expected, food didn't take long to come out. The staff wasn't super attentive but that's normal in spain.

This is a great casual and classy restaurant. The spot has a nice upscale and quiet but vibrant. The food is awesome and with great flavor. The service is good. Must try their hose red wine. You can't go wrong with their food selections. However the Parillada de Pulpo y verduras was totally awesome. Definitely a must try place.

Amazing food. Music, ambiance, service, wine etc. All 5/5. Definitely get the beetroot gazpacho. We read about it being good on yelp in fact and that was a hit. Foie Gras was excellent. Highly recommend that dish. Chicken was above average. Solid but truth be told as a foodie I've had those flavours and tastes elsewhere. Octopus (pulpo) was probably the most disappointing. Still wasn't terrible but clearly didn't fit into the tier of quality as the other dishes. Frankly a little over cooked. So I debated giving a 4 star. However dessert stole the show. Did the banana sponge cake. All things considered a very solid restaurant. All in cost us 50 euros with a bottle of wine. We found that to be very cheap given the quality. There will likely be a wait if you go at peak time. It's worth the 20-30 minute wait!

This place is so good that we went twice during our short stay. We tried calamari, squid, duck, steak, pork, tuna and mushroom risotto. They were all very good. Prices were extremely reasonable given the portion and quality. If I come back to Seville again, I'd definitely revisit this restaurant. Remember to make a reservation!
