This restaurant has the best steak in Florence! We ordered gnocchi, blue cheese ravioli, steak, special pasta with cheese, and roasted potatoes and everything was amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked: tender, flavorful, and just right at medium rare. (It’s not meant to be fully cooked, so medium rare is definitely the way to go!) We made a reservation in advance for four people which is a must, and special thanks to Sergio, who served our table. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and had great customer service. You can ask him anything about the restaurant or the food; he’ll happily recommend the best dishes. Such a great gentleman!

I booked the second location of La Buchetta Food & Wine for a special dinner during our trip to Florence in November 2025 for my wife’s 60th birthday—and it was incredible! The location was perfect for us. Our group of 17 was staying just around the corner, and I really wanted a smaller, more personal place nearby. I considered the main restaurant, but I took a chance on this location, hoping they could handle a large group with more individual attention. It worked out better than I could have imagined. I booked online and received a quick reply from Paulo, who took great care of us from the start. I told him what we needed, and he made it happen. He helped us plan a fantastic menu that everyone loved. Matt and Nugo were wonderful hosts—warm, funny, and completely attentive. They made us feel right at home. The dinner was such a success that we brought the entire group back again the following week—15 people this time—and the service was just as excellent. I highly recommend this charming little restaurant tucked away on a quiet street near the Santa Croce Basilica. The team was amazing, the food was outstanding, and I hope to eat there again someday!

One of our favorite meals on our honeymoon. The meal was so enjoyable and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. There’s a fun wine window out front if you’re waiting for a table (we made a reservation on their website!) but I recommend arriving early to have a glass of wine for the experience :) the food was INCREDIBLE. We would’ve loved to stay for dessert but we felt happy with our entrees — would 100% come back! I haven’t been to the other location, but this location is great :)

Amazing food, definitely feels like the finest local ingredients we have seen this trip. The staff were very open and honest. Have great recommendations and did not try to upsell anything. The highest quality food you will find in this fine city. Totally defended its 4.9 out of 5 star rating tonight. Not cheap but not the most expensive, and worth every cent.

Wonder experience. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and it they handled our group of 12 with 4 kids amazingly. We had a Florentine steak, the Angels and demons gnocchi, multiple appetizers, wine, and more. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the kids meals were amazing too. The service was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed everything so much and would definitely recommend!

This place is out of the way and worth every step to get to. The service was impeccable. Our waiter Matteo explained everything and gave us the insight on how things were made. The food is off the charts. The best way to enjoy the menu is to split all courses. We started with the shaved artichoke salad, followed by the gnocchi, and then the filet covered in a blue cheese and walnut cream sauce. My wife despises gnocchi, but she loved this one.

Servers couldn’t do enough for us! We also got to commemorate our time in forces the a slice of wood on the wall! Fabulous food, o had ossobuco and my fried and chicken tagliata, we also got cheesecake on the house ! Which we highly recommend!

This was by far the best restaurant I’ve been to so far in Italy. Not only is the food amazing but the service was great. They were so kind, knowledgeable, entertaining, and efficient. Our server for the night was Matteo and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
