We had a great dinner at La Buchetta Food & Wine while visiting Florence, the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and very attentive, always checking in to make sure everything was good without being overbearing. The food was absolutely amazing. The standout for me was the pici pasta tossed in a cheese wheel with truffle, it was next-level delicious, creamy, rich, and full of truffle flavor, definitely a must-try! We also ordered the osso buco, gnocchi, catch of the day, and wild boar pappardelle, and every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The wine list was a good size selection, with tons of great options to pair with the food. Our waiter helped recommend wines that matched our meal perfectly, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a place in Florence with delicious food, a great wine selection, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe, La Buchetta should definitely be on your list. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the city!

Incredible service, hardly any wait time, and delicious food!! My grandfather needed some lemon and hot water for his cough and they brought it out for him without question. I'd come back to Florence just for this restaurant and the lovely wait Staff. They were funny and very hospitable. This was my favourite part of my trip here! The pasta in the cheese wheel and the steak were amazing!!

Google
Incredible service, atmosphere, and food! La Buchetta is classy, but relaxed with charming vibes. It's a small restaurant with amazing dishes and quick service. I appreciate how they accommodated my vegetarian diet! Our server, Benji, was very knowledgeable and super friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit! I'd also suggest making a reservation during busier seasons.

Located away from the tourists condensations, and to our surprise, we had great dishes prepared and served to the maximum satisfaction. The service attendant was quite knowledgeable and smartly synchronizing his check ups and services in tune with our preferred order and choice of serving. Not so many places you’ll find such a customized treatment. About the food taste and quality, honestly I believe we successfully located the top spot for making and baking one of Italy’s greatest lasagna (beef version)…. It was soft and notably tasty and yet, the beef Ragu was truly fresh, thick and balanced. We also enjoyed one of the best salads I tried so far in Italy, nicely chopped and flavored with all natural ingredients. For salad lovers, this must be a big plus for the restaurant. Am sure I’ll repeat the visit whenever back to Florence, mainly due to the great service, great Chef and cooking and, the tasty food. Thanks to the team and the owner.

We had the most incredible dining experience at La Buchetta in Florence! Our server was Benji and he was phenomenal! He knew our names by the time we left, offered his valuable recommendations and helped to make our dinner our best in Florence. We had the Florentine steak and just as Benji promised- it did not disappoint, we also had pasta that was prepared table side. Our drinks, sides and the atmosphere were all perfecto! We hope to be back in Florence again and we will absolutely be back if we do. FIVE STARS! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
Outstanding place. Spaghetti was excellent. So was my salad. Sergio gave us a warm and friendly experience. Yes, it's a fine dine experience with higher prices, but in my opinion well worth it. I find places rated 4.6 and higher on Google generally don't disappoint. So go for it. Like blue chips these places are expensive but also give returns with peace of mind.

Google
It was recommended so highly and we easily experienced why. The servers are personable and enjoyable, the food - out of this world, and the atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious but fun with corks donning the majority of the walls. Having delicious gluten free options (including bread) was a major win and the gnocchi was heaven in a bite. Great wine recommendations for the perfect steak - we were so full! They took special care with our 9 year old - including him and making him feel involved. We went somewhere else on our last night and regret it terribly. This should have been the place. Reservations are needed!

We have been on a 3 week honeymoon and looked at restaurant after restaurant here in Florence and we found this gem with great reviews. Not only did it meet expectations but exceeded them! The Gnocchi is beyond delicious and the florentine steak… I LOVE steak and it is beyond a doubt the best I’ve ever had! My wife said no way can we do an appetizer, pasta AND that steak… and my beautiful bride admitted she was wrong. We had just a couple ounces left we brought back to hotel just to add to our eggs in morning lol If the food wasn’t great enough the staff was amazing! Do not let this amazing gem of Florence slip by your experience here! The ambiance here matches the food and it’s what my wife was craving as much as the menu! And if you’re at table 2 along the wall, look for Ed and Natalie marking their honeymoon. Grazie La Buchetta for the most memorable meal of a 3 week European honeymoon!

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation and knew it was a gamble, but we showed up as they opened at 7pm on the coldest night of the year, so far, and they had mercy on us. Our 2.5 hour dinner was amazing! The waiters are very engaging without being gimmicky. Their food recommendations were on point, as well. We aren't drinkers so we didn't have wine, but we noticed other guests were happy with their wine recommendations. For portion-size perspective, my husband and I shared all the dishes. There is no way I could eat all this myself. We stared with the Pear and Peccorino salad, which was divine. The sweetness of the pear with the rather mild Peccorino and the bitterness of the spring mix was just perfect. I almost ordered a second one. We also had the grilled filet, medium rare as recommended, and it was very tasty. The roasted potatoes we ordered as a side were simple and amazing. They were so soft and creamy inside and crispy outside. The highlight of the evening was their special pasta. It's a thick spaghetti prepared tabelside by tossing in a Peccorino cheese wheel, with fresh black truffles. My experience with truffles have all been dried, in oil, and likely fake, so I was worried it would be overpowering, but my fears were unfounded. The pasta was perfect! It was decadent without being heavy in my stomach. The flavor was delightfully balanced. I would eat it again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this dish for both the experience and the taste. We finished with the vanilla gelato, also prepared table-side, made with liquid nitrogen. It was a nice touch, and a fun experience. The gelato itself was so light and airy and just perfectly sweet. The space is really small, and they don't turn tables quickly, so make a reservation for sure. We just happened to get lucky and get in without one. When we left, there were people waiting outside in the freezing cold...

Yelp
Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary here. We had a reservation ahead of time online, which was a bit odd of a process b/c you sign up, but they'll confirm 48 hours in advance, so it was kinda up in the air for a couple days. But they did confirm the reservation via email. We were there on Halloween, 10/31/2024, and I guess dinner time we picked was not their peak time, good for us b/c then we saw some folks walk-in and were seated right away. I would rather have had a reservation than chance it. Initially, we were sat at a table in the back room which felt a bit cramped for me with no air circulation back there. We were also sorta near the restroom, but not the closest table to the restroom. It just felt a bit too claustrophobic back there. Our server was very kind and friendly and offered us his menu recommendations. Unfortunately, I just didn't like where we were sat when there were a few tables available in the front room. Our server was kind and moved us tables, but sadly that meant we also got a different server :( but he assured us he'd take care of us lol and he told our new server that we were celebrating our anniversary. Idk why they didn't just seat us in the front room where there was more space but whatevs. I got their bleu cheese pasta, and it was amazing. the bleu cheese sauce was soooooo yummy. Recommendation from server #1. hubby got their gnocchi (also recommended dish) and not only was it the most beautiful and eye appealing gnocchi I've ever seen, but it also tasted amazing. I had gnocchi once before and I didn't like it but this one was delicious and melted in your mouth. At the end, our server brought us a "love dessert" for our anniversary which I thought was kind and sweet. We were sat kinda at the front, and so b/c it was Halloween, it was fun to see kids in costume pop into the restaurant and the staff had a bowl of candy ready for the kids. That seemed to be a thing for businesses to have a bowl of candy ready as we saw many kids around popping into other businesses. The most trippyyyy thing happened. Like I'm a big believer in signs, like a serendipity type of thing. So the new table we were sat at was against the wall, and hubby and I sat across from each other, and there were a couple prints on the wall, one next to him, and one next to me and looked like both were from the same artist but we didn't really pay too much attention. Tell me why mid way through our meal, I took a closer look at the art work next to me and it had the artist's last name in the corner of the print. and it was the same as OUR LAST NAME. I couldn't believe my eyes , like was this for real, What are the chances, I thought my eyes were playing tricks b/c how random was that. I didn't expect to see a Spanish last name in an Italian restaurant. I told Hubby, look!!! and then he looked at the one next to him, and it also had our last name in the corner. Of all the tables in the restaurant that they could've re-sat us at, it had to be that one, and that art work was placed there. We asked our server about the art work and he said the artist was French. I kinda tilted my head sideways b/c our last name isn't French but I figured maybe the artist was a French lady and she changed her last name. But then I looked up those paintings to find out more about them. The paintings were French inspired, by a Mexican artist, and what we saw were prints. Talk about coincidence though! Overall, we had a great anniversary dinner.

Yelp
Best pasta in town. Recommended by a cardinal (or a Padre?). They get their cheese fresh, real fresh (the cheese maker is making the cheese 2am the day of!) Greer wine selection. And of course the Florentino steak is great The atmosphere is 5-star. All the employees work so well together and work for the customers satisfaction

Yelp
This is definitely a super popular spot in Florence. I would recommend to make reservations for dinner otherwise seems like they may just turn you away. For lunch they do accept walk-ins although reservations are still encouraged. We came in around 12:30 for lunch and were seated immediately. It was packed by 1:00. My wife and I ordered a variety of pastas and salads. Our personal favorite was the gnocchi. Super creamy yet very light. The pici special was good, but I did think the whole pasta being made inside the cheese wheel is a bit gimmicky. The risotto I thought was maybe a bit overcooked, but flavors were excellent and I thought the shrimp was great. The two salads were also delicious. Both were super fresh and a great way to cut through the richness of the pastas. The space is fairly small and cramped given how popular it is. That being said, didn't feel too claustrophobic. Mostly just lively. I do wish we got the steak here, but since we already had one the day before it was purely a pasta experience. Service was very friendly. They definitely know how to work the tourist audience. Overall it was a fun experience and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence!

Yelp
For out last night in Firenze meal we chose La Buchetta. It was a great choice with exquisite decor inside and wonderful food and friendly service. We had to go here to try the infamous Pici Special which is pasta prepared tableside with a cheese sauce inside of a Pecorino Cheese wheel. My wife and I shared this dish. So much cheese! Delicious! My daughter chose the Ricotta Cheese and Spinach stuffed ravioli with a blue cheese sauce and caramelized shallots and fried sage. I tasted this and it was wonderful as well. Along with a Negroni (created here in Firenze!) and a few other drinks, and a pistachio cannoli with espressos for dessert, we had an excellent time here at La Buchetta. The decor inside is very well done with over 5,000 corks creating an immense arched doorway and other artwork around the interior. We were told each cork was from a wine bottle opened at La Buchetta. Pretty impressive! Give this place a try!

Yelp
The best meal I had in Florence! This place came highly recommended, my friends have been here multiple times and were able to get us a reservation for our large party. Everything we ate was amazing, but the steak is a standout. It literally melts in your mouth. The servers were great and very engaging. We added our names to a couple pieces of wood in the hallway. Afterwards we got a free bottle of limoncello which was very nice, but too sweet for me. This place will not disappoint!

Yelp
La Buschetta was our first dinner in Florence and it was highly recommended by some friends of ours from home and it didn't disappoint! The Angel and Devil gnocchi is phenomenal and the Florentine Steak was amazing. The service was so great and presented everything very nicely. They brought up limoncello shots as a farewell as well as a dessert. Also had great wine!!

Yelp
Holy wow, if you want a place to get good Florentine steak in an intimate setting with attentive servers, run here! You'll likely have to make a reservation online but it's worth it! We ordered the Florentine steak with a pasta and appetizer and topped things off with dessert. The steak has a minimum spend and there were three of us and the minimum was PLENTY. They'll show you the cut and weigh it in front of you and then go back and grill it up, their recommended temperature is very rare (but not bloody because of the aged steak). If you have folks with different preferences at your table, the servers can take a few pieces after the initial cooking of the steak and grill it up to your preferred temperature. I was so impressed with everything here, the drinks, food, vibe, and servers were immaculate. Highly recommend when in Florence!

Yelp
By far one of the best restaurants I have been to in my longish life!!! Definitely the absolute best Italian food I have ever eaten (hype is for real!) Best in Florence Best in Italy while on 2 week trip to Venice, Florence, Rome, Sorrento Best in Boston - grew up in little Italy Best in New York - stomping ground Best in California - lived there 15 years, not known for Italian but... Best in Phoenix - for sure not known for Italian, Chris B. is a close contender

Yelp
Dinner here will be the meal your family will talk about for years to come. It lives up to all the hype! FANTASTICO!! My husband and 2 boys shared a 47oz steak. They bring you a huge cut of meat and measure it in front of you for approval on the meat. It was outstanding, as was the gnocchi! OMG. I would go just for that and the spinach pasta pillows. The service was first class and our waiter truly made the entire experience memorable. He was extremely educational and passionate about the food. This was an excellent recommendation and I shall pay it forward!

Yelp
This is def my favorite restaurant out of the ones we've tried in Florence! We originally tried to eat here for dinner, but the wait for walk in was a couple hours, and the staff suggested coming during lunch time. We went the next day during lunch time around 12, and there was no wait! The food is amazing! I love the olive jam they had for the meat and cheese board. Pairs so well with everything else. The Pici pasta was fun because the cheese wheel, it tastes so creamy and the truffle adds great flavor. My favorite is definitely the gnocchi! Literally the best gnocchi I've had. I personally enjoy spicy food, so I love the small kick in the gnocchi's flavor. Highly recommend! When we came, they also had fresh porcini, so we ordered it as a side, and I love the freshness as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful! The restaurant has a nice vibe too, love the corks decors in it

Yelp
Mom and I were in the Santa Croce area touring the church there and got very hungry and I found this place on Yelp. Reviews were promising so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! Firstly the service was incredible. Our server, Benjamin, was amazing. So funny and helpful and gave us great suggestions. Even let my mom try a few different wines to decide which one she liked. He ended up giving us shots of lemoncello on the house after our meal. So big thanks to Benjamin for his amazing hospitality. Second the food. Delicious in every sense of the word. We started with the chicken liver pate with burrata. An acquired taste but if you like pate, it's a great antipasti to try. Mom got the Pici pasta which was prepared table side in a pecorino cheese wheel topped with truffle. So simple yet tasty. I got the filet mignon that was covered in a blue cheese and shallot sauce. It was the best steak I've had in a long time. So tender and soft and juicy you could cut it with a butter knife. If you're a steak lover and are too intimidated by the size of the traditional Florentine steak I recommend you try this steak out. Overall great restaurant, great vibes and great service. Would gladly come here again on our next trip to Florence. Also they usually take reservations, but we went in around 4:30 and they seated the 2 of us no problem.

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because our first dinner in Florence was everything we hoped it would be. --- --- --- I can't tell you how many restaurants my wife and I considered before we ended up here. I think we looked at every single one in Florence, and of course, they all seemed to have at least 4-stars on Yelp. But La Buchetta might have had the highest decimal point after the 4, and that's ultimately what we settled on. Decimal points matter in such a competitive environment! We ordered 3 things and it's impossible to give any of them any rating other than 5-stars: the gnocchi, the special pici pasta and the florentine steak. Yes, yes and yes. For us, the only hard thing would be to tell you which of the 3 was our favorite. They were all pretty much perfect. I'd love to go on and on about these dishes since I loved them so much, but how can I go any further than by saying they were perfect? This was the best meal I had during my 5 days in Europe. I cannot recommend it enough.

Yelp
BEST BISTECCA ALLA FIORENTINA!!! If you only have one meal in Florence, this should be it. They have everything from truffle pasta cooked in cheese wheel, creamy pillowy gnocchi, melt in your mouth Florentine steak, a great atmosphere and fun wait staff. MAKE A RESERVATION. (or stop in right when they open) We did this & got a 10p spot.
google avatar

Mama K.

Yelp
We ate here in early June (there are actually two locations for La Buchetta, and they're just a block or two apart. Make sure you know which location your reservation is at!). As others have noted, make a reservation. Also be aware that if you fail to show up, the restaurant charges 50 Euros per person. The food is excellent and the service is really good. The cover charge is € 3 per person. A bottle of water was another € 3. I chose the Picci Special, and it is divine (€ 33). It's pasta prepared tableside in a wheel of cheese and then transferred to a bowl. Truffle is grated over the top of the dish. It is gloriously silky, cheesy, and flavorful. Its uniqueness justifies the high price; I didn't see that dish offered elsewhere. My dining companion had the € 30 Tartare Manzo. A side of spinach was € 7, and the torta di mele was € 9. If you skip the wine (our choice was € 28), you can keep the cost down a bit, but we enjoyed the wine with our meals.
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
This is the perfect date spot when you come to Florence. We came here for the steak and gnocchi. Both are divine. The gnocchi has the smoothest and creamiest texture of any gnocchi I've ever tried. Their steak is dry aged and prepared simply with just a drizzle of oil and salt. Make sure to make reservations and arrive promptly.

Yelp
Excellent service. Great warm ambiance. Food and wine were favoloso!! Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Risotto was favoloso!!

Yelp
This place was good! We stopped by for lunch as a walk-in and we got seated without any issues. Very friendly service with English speaking staff. The place filled up fast! They had to turn a few walk-ins away after 1pm because they were fully booked at that point. Not too many tables inside so make sure to show up early if you don't have a reservation. We started off with the mango, shrimp and blackberry salad. Very refreshing and yummy! We thought it was a nice touch that they went ahead and split up our order into 2 separate plates without us having to ask. I ordered their famous gnocchi and my husband got the seafood pasta. My husband liked the gnocchi and said it was very good, however I think I might not be a fan of gnocchi because it didn't stand out to me as much. While the gnocchi itself had very good texture I found that guanciale made it a little too salty for my liking. Also, this dish is very cheesy! I'm not lactose intolerant, but I feel like my body didn't agree with all the stracciatella from this dish (sorry if tmi lollll). My husband's seafood pasta was good! Not too salty and he said he enjoyed it. Overall, we would come back because we liked the service and ambiance, but we might opt for dinner instead of lunch next time. FYI when we arrived at 12pm they told us they actually open at 12:30pm instead of 12pm as posted on Yelp & Google.

Yelp
The food was delicious, plated perfectly and the ambiance fantastic, my waiter was very polite and made great wine recommendations.

Yelp
Best meal I have ever had: angels and demons gnocchi, special pici pasta, tagliata sulla costola, and warm cheesecake. Everything was perfect. Service was fantastic as well.

eric g.

Yelp
The service and food were so good. We were a little worried about the rawness of the steak. As promised it was super tasty and so glad they talked us into letting the chef cook it the right way.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Exceptional experience. Make sure that you make a reservation ahead of time. I called the original location, they were fully booked but told us they could book us at their other location (2 min walk). I enjoyed this setting more because it was on a quieter street and it looks newly renovated. We ordered the Florentine Steak (the minimum order is 1.2kg) with a side of roasted potatoes, and the shrimp risotto. Everything was phenomenal. Recommending this restaurant to all my friends and family.

Yelp
The best steak in Florence, possibly in our life! The cheesiest cheese wheel pici pasta with truffle! We had the ribeye since we had tried a Florentine steak the previous night elsewhere. Ribeye is our favorite cut, and this one blew us away! This was my first cheese wheel experience, and it was worth the hype. Adding shaved truffle is normally out of my price range, but it is so affordable in Italy. The pici pasta texture also made it a special dish. Even the asparagus with lemon was perfect. We were too full for dessert, but they gave us a complimentary limoncello. I had made dinner reservations well in advance. The place was not packed yet, as it was still early for typical Italian dinner time. The server was very welcoming. If we are ever back in Florence, we will definitely come back here!

Ron W.

Yelp
Try nice restaurant not far from tourist center. Pasta was very good and so was the eggplant. Vegetable soup was also excellent. Staff was very good.
google avatar

Christopher N.

Yelp
Warm service, lots of smile. Simple dishes but excellent ingredients and well executed. The Florentine steak is a must try as well as the three cheese salad. A good selection of wines. Some offer excellent value when compared to the retail US price. We ate here on consecutive nights. Why go somewhere else when you find exactly what you want!?
google avatar

Rick W.

Yelp
Had dinner with my family and our dinner was terrific... Our Steaks were cooked to order and our server was wonderful and attentive.... Though I have been here a couple of times before it was my first time eating inside the restaurant... We had a corner table near the back of the restaurant and even though we were near the kitchen/serving area, we barely noticed the servers coming/going.. Just a wonderful evening with great food and family... and the wine was excellent...

Yelp
This was the best dinner that we had in Florence - service was excellent, food was delicious and it was overall an amazing dinning experience. We did make our reservation a month in advance so if you're wanting to eat here definitely make a reservation. The wine list was large with a great selection. We enjoyed a nice house Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino here. For appetizer we started with the bruschetta which was good but if I had to do it again, I'd skip ordering it to save room for their speciality the Florentine steak! For ordering the steak they show it to you before they cook it to confirm the portion. The chefs recommendation was more raw then we would normally order but I would absolutely trust the chef on this one. The steak was amazing - cooked to perfection, tender and seasoned well! We also ordered the gnocchi which was one of my favorites in Italy!

Lisa O.

Yelp
Unique taste...! Quality food...! Amazing service...! What more can you ask for? They didn't look at me strange when I asked for it, and they cooked the BEST well done steak I've ever tasted!! So juicy!!! The waiters love their jobs and it shows! Highly recommend! Great wine selection as well!

Jim A.

Yelp
Trust me this place is the best. I'm a blue collar eater and the food was amazing. Best gnocchi I've ever eaten. Great wild boar pasta and aged steaks. Seriously you have to go. The gnocchi is sprinkled with angel dust. So so good
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Two stores are great. Waiter, food and wine are the best in town aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Christiana A.

Yelp
We went to La Buchetta about three weeks ago on our Italian vacation. Oh my gosh!! I can't stop thinking about how delicious it was, and honestly, a great experience all around. The food was AMAZING! Scrumptious! We shared some side dishes, pasta and the dry aged ribeye seen in the photo. I think it was aged something like 42 days. Needless to say, it melted on the palette. The pasta was cooked and finished table side by our server who swirled it around on the pecorino wheel until it was all cheesy and ready to serve. No matter how full you are, don't skip out on the cheesecake.
google avatar

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Sad to be the only one who didn't care much for this place. The meat was super chewy, so hard to eat. Besides that, the steak was bland. The little olive oil, salt, & pepper mixture did not help. This was our most expensive dinner while in Florence and it was our least favorite. Service was good. Restaurant was cute.
google avatar

Tawny M.

Yelp
Very good, we didn't have a reservation and we lucked out and they squeezed us in. However, it was busy so I wouldn't count on getting in one without one. We had the bistecca, pico special and the gnocchi. All were great. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Tanya T.

Yelp
Gnocci Angelo e demoni - Creamy and super flavorful. The gnocchi was soft and chewy. This is the best I've ever had. Definitely coming back for this!! 5/5 Pici special - Truffle and cheese. It's also super flavorful. It smelled good and you can really taste the truffle. They mix the pasta in a cheese wheel! 5/5 Tagliatelle Al cingiliale boar - it was okay. I probably would get this again. 3/5 The fiorentina (florentine steak) - it was really good. And with the salt.. *chefs kiss* 4/5
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
The place was awesome. The meat delicious I found this place by chance when I was waiting for the wife. I called and made a reservation they have 2 locations not far from one another but be aware. We ordered the Florentine steak which was very very good. Also ordered risotto, and salad potato's on the side with a few drinks. This is on level of Ruth's Chris caliber steak. We very much enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. If we return to Florence again we definitely will be eating here again. Went to another restaurant closer to our Airbnb and it was not as good. They dry aged the steak better it shows in quality texture and flavor
google avatar

Domine S.

Yelp
The waiter was super kind! We had an unforgettable experience in Florence! The Florentine steak was juicy & beautiful to experience, the iced tea was good and the place has history which makes it even more enticing!

Yelp
Best place I've eaten in Europe. Full of surprised and twists. No regrets and would recommend to anybody visiting Florence. Incredible service. So much fun. Great ambiance to be in. Great vibe.

Nitasha K.

Yelp
Honestly, probably one of my favorite meals in Italy. The vibe is intimate with cork screws from previous customers all along the walls. The service was friendly. We shared a gnocchi which has to be probably the best gnocchi I've ever had, creamy with a hint of spice from the tomato dollops. My husband and I shared a filet, that was good but a little too rare for my taste even though we asked for medium. I think Florentine steak tends to be that way so I don't think it's a point against them. The wine we had was delicious and the server gave us Grapa to finish off the meal. Make a reservation, or they likely will be unable to accommodate!

Yelp
This was one of my favorite meals in Florence. My husbands coworker had recommended the restaurant. We happened to be walking by around lunch time and decided to stop. Each dish was so flavorful and delicious. I loved the quaint feeling of the restaurant. Florence is quiet touristy so some of the restaurants don't feel very authentically Italian. This one however still made me feel like I was in a local Italian restaurant where quality and service really mattered.

Yelp
We visited the second location as we were early for dinner and did not have a reservation. It was a bit awkward as there was no one else there when we arrived and I rather felt we were interrupting a private staff meeting (they open at noon and we arrived around 6). The ravioli were amazing, the osso bucco very good, and the steak tartare great quality but less flavorful than I might have liked. There was something less welcoming than some of the other places we've been but the food is very good and absolutely worth an evening!

Yelp
A must try! Ambiance is quaint and service impeccable. The true star of the show is the food. We had the Florentine steak., which was perfection and well as the Truffle spaghetti that was magic. All prepared table side. Truly a special experience. Come hungry. Worth every penny. Make a reservation or be there early. 7:30pm. Don't miss this one.

Yelp
small cute place with personable service and one of my favorite meals in our two week stay in Italy. Probably a good idea to make a reservation like other reviewers said. We were there on a weds night and they had to turn some walkins away. We had the caprese salad, blue cheese ravioli (soo good and I'm not a blue cheese person), 700g bone in ribeye, potatoes and asparagus, a whiskey sour and an old fashion. I would definitely recommend this place. We also ate at the more touristy trattoria d'all oste for comparison, also good but we got the wagu there so naturally the steak was more tender but the bill was also more than double. Overall when it comes to taste, and service and ambiance, I'd recommend la buchetta.

Yelp
Literally the best gnocchi I've ever had. The cream sauce is sooo good without making you feel disgusting after and the gnocchi melts in your mouth. The spicy red sauce dollops are a tasty extra touch. Would eat again if we were here longer. Husband got the linguini in clam sauce which was also good. And we've been wanting to have tiramisu in Italy so we went for it even tho we were stuffed and also a great tiramisu. Can't really go wrong here if you get a table! The decor gives you something to look at. The walls are filled with corks and little wooden chips that people that signed over the years. We tried to come out first night and they were booked so we put our name down for the second night (highly recommend doing that if you are in town for multiple nights).

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was great! Especially when one of the gentlemen working there went out of their way to talk to our group about the history of the restaurant! He let us try grappa for the first time and I will say not for the weak hearted!Absolutely loved it and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Best restaurant we've experienced in Florence! The Florentine steak was excellent. We tried a few places and it was best here. It was perfectly dry-aged. Also the truffle pasta with table-side presentation was fun. The truffle was the best we've tasted in Florence. Fresh truffle.... Benjamin let us smell it before preparing the dish table side. The buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad was delicious and cheese was so soft! It was like ice cream. Hats off to Benjamin who was the best server and host. We dined there for nearly 3 hours and had the best time with him.

Yelp
In a city filled with fantastic restaurants, this was the best meal I had in Florence. Their angel and devil gnocchi is incredible, a must have. The chicken liver crostini is a fantastic appetizer. Service and ambiance is impeccable, incredible friendly wait staff and they brought us a delectable cheese cake for our anniversary, on the house. Cannot recommend La Buchetta enough.
