"La Cabra reminded us that some of the Lower Manhattan craft coffee shop roots come from Copenhagen; stop in for excellent beans or visit the Møntergade location inside Another Aspect to sip a cortado while shopping menswear." - Coolstuff Team

Visited in Nov 2025 Stopped by La Cabra for coffee a couple of mornings during my recent trip to CPH. La Cabra is a Danish specialist coffee company which is quite popular and hence you should expect a bit of a queue/crowd when you visit. Nonetheless I was able to find a seat at counter during both my visits easily. I ended up trying a couple of their hand brews and their black filter coffee. Every beverage was absolutely top notch and I enjoyed trying all of them. The Sudan Rume (origin: Colombia) hand brew was my favourite. Also tried a few of their croissants which were very good too. Service was good. The staff were kind, polite and professional. If you’re in CPH and a coffee lover, I’d strongly recommend visiting this cafe.

I had another fantastic experience at La Cabra. The coffee was amazing, as always. We ordered an oat flat white and an oat latte, and I loved that they use different beans for each. The latte had fruity, flavourful notes and was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Honestly, I wish I could give them more than five stars , they truly deserve it. A solid 5 stars from me, definitely recommend it.

Warm and cozy specialty coffee shop. Their pastry was OK, but the coffee was perfect with many different choices if high quality specialty coffee beans to select from. Coffees here are mostly sweet and clean with high quality acidity. I would recommend black over milk coffee here as you will be able to experience nice taste and aroma. Coffee here is one of a good way to start your morning

I visited La Cabra with my husband, who is a coffee enthusiast, and we had a fantastic experience. We enjoyed an espresso tonic, a V60 coffee, a cinnamon bun, and fresh bread, all of which were delicious. The calm, minimalist interior and beautiful ceramics created a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for slowing down. The friendly staff further enhanced our visit. The only downside was the limited indoor seating, which made it difficult to find a spot during busy times. Nonetheless, it’s a must-visit for coffee lovers who appreciate quality and design.

La Cabra is a small, cozy coffee bar tucked inside a clothing store — such a cool setup. You can sit around the bar and watch the baristas at work, which adds a nice touch to the experience. We ordered a latte, flat white, a breakfast bun, and a croissant. The coffee had a nutty, well-balanced blend that was smooth and satisfying. The pastries were fresh and paired perfectly with the drinks.

Had two pour overs which were decent, just not as mind blowing as expected. The Esmeralda Natural was a beautiful blend, very aromatic and the texture was almost smooth and creamy. No complains. As nice as the El Turpial sounded, it came out quite acidic, which was disappointing since it smelled super floral and otherwise had rich fruity notes. Got better when cold. The coffee seemed overpriced for what it was, worth trying if you're an enthusiast, but the pour overs aren't as unique as I expected, and can compare to other fancy cafes. Service was unremarkable. I asked about their recommendations with stone fruit and citrus notes but was just asked to look at the menu or grab a batch brew. Maybe because they were busy? But there a lots of people working behind the bar so it seemed a little odd they don't actually tell you about the coffee. Standard "third wave" coffee otherwise, but given the two I tried I don't think it's worth a special trip here. The interior is chaotic- beans are lower than eye level or hidden behind the bar, with most space taken up by retail and clothes.

Had a lucky spot beside the coffee bar—best 30 minutes away from my phone! Apologies if it caused any pressure for the team, but I couldn’t take my eyes off how efficiently the three of them organised themselves to keep up with the never-ending queue. Orders were served within just a few minutes, tiny little mistakes but corrected in seconds! I did a little barista work for a few months this year, and with my architecture background, I’m honestly amazed by this lovely coffee shop!

Good coffee served in a clothing store. I was very impressed with the service and staff seemed to really care about coffee. There was a hype queue and little baked good selection as is expected. I’m not sure I’d come again as the seating arrangement is awkward and it’s a bit too busy for my liking.
