I was looking for a place to enjoy a coffee with a cinnamon roll — and I’m so glad I found this spot! The café was a bit crowded, but we were lucky to get a seat inside. The coffee was absolutely delicious, and the cinnamon roll was fresh, juicy, and just perfect. The staff were really friendly as well. I’ll definitely be happy to visit again!

Google
Clean Scandinavian design and a cozy vibe if you want to sit with a book or catch up with a friend. The coffee is definitely one of the best in Aarhus. Their pastries are also a great offering buttery croissants, flaky cardamom buns, everything fresh and delicious. It does get pretty busy, so you can expect a quiet corner and super fast service. Prices lean toward the higher side too, but honestly, the quality makes it feel fair. It is definitely worth the visit.

Google
Superb coffee and breakfast foods. Place was extremely packed at around 10am but if you wait long enough you should be able to find some seats. Friendly and polite service all in all. I’d recommend some of the bakes which were crusty and had a good filling.

Google
Very friendly staff, they spoke multiple languages which is helpful if a tourist. Cappuccino and almond croissant were excellent! Atmosphere is relaxing, very zen with a beautiful view of the cobblestone street and Bishop Square steeple!

Google
Simply delicious! The food was so tasty and the coffee good. Very casual and relaxed atmosphere and the staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a breakfast spot or cafe in Aarhus.

Google
The cinnamon roll is really tasty, full of flavor A bit expensive: 37 dkk The atmosphere is really good, they only have power sockets upstairs and no wifi unfortunately

Google
Simply the best coffee I’ve ever had. I’m a huge coffee fan and have tried coffee all over the world, but nothing compares to La Cabra. I’ve been following them for years, so visiting their shop in Aarhus — their birthplace — was a special experience. The coffee was exceptional. The music was at the perfect volume, the aesthetics of the space were beautiful, and the staff were professional and genuinely attentive. My girlfriend, who loves coffee even more than I do, even got emotional. That says it all. A must-visit for any true coffee lover.

Google
Very nice coffee or lunch stop when visiting Aarhus! Really yummy coffee, sandwiches, and pastries! The place might seem busy from outside, but we found plenty of seating inside. With two we ordered an iced latte, a cardemon iced latte, two sandwiches with cheese, and one seasonal pastry to share. All came to our table really quickly after ordering. Delicious!

Yelp
This place is super cute and small. The cardamom buns are delicious: yeasty and the perfect level of sweetness. The mugs they use are very cute, granted, very hard to hold when containing hot beverages. There is both limited indoor and outdoor seating and I would recommend going earlier because their pastries sell out. The service is prompt and overall, a very cute local joint.

Yelp
Suggested by my Airbnb host, who also told me about how seriously these folks take their coffee. Located in the Latin district, the storefront is very cute and welcoming. The decor inside, of course, is also just as perfectly laid out. Moveable small tables enough for 2 people make up all the seating. The walls are lined with coffee and coffe making paraphernalia. As for the coffee, the espresso was perfect and the pastry was amazing as well. The only drawback was the high cost. 30 DK for espresso was a bit much, but it was a very good introduction to the coffee culture in Aarhus.

Yelp
Top coffee shop in the lovely Latin Quarter. LOVE the hygge vibe and the wonderful coffee. The barista was so helpful. He made a splendid mocha latte for me. Clean WC. Loved sitting outside, people watching. We savored our Swedish cinnamon bun.

Yelp
La Cabra is the coffee shop of my dreams. They have amazing coffee & food, cozy interior, fun logo, wonderful magazine and record selection.. I couldn't have designed it better myself. Plus the magazine selection and menu are both in English. Love it! I ordered a flat white with oat milk and the boyfriend had an americano - both were delicious! We also both ordered the avocado toast, which was amazing. I eat avocado toast almost every morning for breakfast and this was a fun take on my usual breakfast with olive oil toasted bread, chives, and salty almonds. I'm hungry just thinking about it! We also shared a delicious slice of lemon poppyseed cake. Everything was wonderful. My only complaint is that they don't have a location in Copenhagen. Oh well, perfect excuse to return to Aarhus!

Yelp
When I think back to all the cups of coffee drunk during my trip to Europe, the one that floats to mind first is La Cabra. What an absolute gem of a coffee shop. We were fortunate to discover this place on our first day in Aarhus, and enjoyed our subsequent mornings there as well. Their coffee was smooth yet strong, with excellent flavor, and came served in beautiful pottery cups with little goats carved at the bottom. (They've won a bunch of awards for their coffee, and you can instantly taste why!) Their breakfast/brunch offerings were excellent as well - the croissants were buttery, yet light and crackly, their bread with cheese was the perfect substantial, simple breakfast, and their avocado toast was as beautiful as it was delicious. Service was laid back and friendly. The weekends can get very busy, especially after 10am, and you may have to wait in line to order, then wait for a table to open up. On weekdays, however, the crowd is much more manageable. It was such a wonderful cafe to sit, chat, and plan out the rest of our day, and if I ever find myself in Aarhus again, I'll be sure to stop in.

Yelp
Friendly staff, warm ambiance, craft coffee, but best of all, THE BEST CROISSANTS. Not something I would particularly expect in Aarhus, but these croissants were crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and I learned today (my second time visiting in two days), that they use a sourdough base and there's 27 layers in each croissant. I couldn't even take a proper photo because I just bit into it immediately. Go get'em!!!

Yuanshuo L.

Yelp
I have been there several times. The bread is really good. The caramel roll is my favorite one. I also like their coffee, especially for the Latte. I will keep it as my best bread shop in Aarhus.

Yelp
A coffee instition in the heart of the Aarhus 'latin qaurter', not only do they excel in coffee - their bakery with bread and croissants is of international class!

Yelp
Fantastic coffee. Very quaint bohemian atmosphere, good music, very chill. Clearly a popular local hangout by young professionals in Aarhus... but there is no WiFi. So... that sort of a deal breaker considering the rest of the city is running fiber and there are hotspots everywhere else.

Yelp
I've drank coffee at shops around the world, and La Cabra ranks #1 out of them all... The attention to detail, friendly staff, willingness to explain each cup, and extreme quality control on every drink they serve earns them the position of best coffee shop I've ever been to. Their expresso is top notch, and their standard cups (prepared in any method) are the picture of quality and excellence. If you are near Aarhus, try anything they offer. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Pretty impressive morning stopping spot, the sort of place enroute to work that's a guarantee to pull you in. Similarly, if you've flextime in your schedule this is an amazing place to sit and sip. Morning, midday, or afternoon tea; all solid options here with high quality food and drink.

Yelp
I came just when they opened in the morning and was the first order of the day. Turns out that was a good idea because on weekends, they seem to get a queue very quickly. Coffee was excellent (but I'm not really a coffee buff, so I don't have a more nuanced review about that). I also had a breakfast platter of bread/cheese, granola, yogurt and juice. It wasn't cheap when you consider the ingredients are very basic. However, the quality of all the items was very good. I particularly like that they provided a delicious hard cheddar to go with the bread. The usual cheeses that come with Danish breakfast plates are pretty underwhelming, so to get a sharp, aged cheddar is a very welcomed change! The bread was also excellent: thick crust, moist and chewy inside.

Yelp
I visited this place and the cappuccino was average and the fish sandwich was a bit disappointing. It can improve. It is still better than coffee shop chains.

Morten K.

Yelp
This is by far the best coffee in Aarhus, if not all of Denmark. Very friendly staff and great attention to detail when preparing the delicious locally roasted coffee. The many trophies of barrister excellence bear witness to an exemplary level of dedication. The sparkling water offered on the side with each expresso is but one small example of how La Cabra is dedicated to real coffee excellence.

Yelp
Nice place for your morning espresso. A fair bit of room to sit in, well lite. Can get kind of busy however.

Louise S.

Yelp
Great coffee and service but stay away I you don't like hipster places and lines. The line is for a good reason though as the coffee made by Australians is totally worth it.

Yelp
Great coffee, great place with a great atmosphere. Really cozy and highly recommended :)

Oliver H.

Yelp
The croissant and flat white I had was quite tasty. I had an issue with an extra charge and the staff was friendly and helpful about it.

Christian S.

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly staff and the whole interior plus good music provides a very relaxing atmosphere.
