"La Canzone del Cielo" Monte Solaro, Capri

The views are incredible, but the prices are not. It was 14euro for two tiny hot chocolates, and the other prices were high as well. Obviously, the prices were going to be higher due to the location, but wow. If you're eating at the restaurant, make sure to get a coin to use the toilets so you don't have to pay more to use them.

If I could give less than a star I would. The staff are only nice to the Americans, and serve them first - probably knowing they will tip big - and they don't give a crap about anyone else. We tried to make the server come to our table for a good 20 minutes, and everytime he made eye contact he looked at me as if I was bothering him and intrerupting him from the bottom licking he was engaging in with the Americans. Finally he comes to our table and I ask him if I can have an ice latte and he rolls his eyes all the way to the Vesuvius (of which you actually have a really nice view) and tells me they don't have and proceeds to walk off and on his way to shoot of I manage to tell him I would still like a coffee in any case - another insult to him fron the look on his face. Attached in the photos, my 6 euro coffee !!! You draw your conclusions if you would like to come here (unless you are Ameican, in which case you will probably have a nice time and don't even think it's expensive).

This is what we call monopolistic pricing. We got this small ice coffee cream and it was 6€ 🥲and the worse thing was after we got it, they said this was for takeaway only and we weren’t allowed to sit on their tables if we only got this even though there were so many empty tables. So yes, expect super high prices but what can you do when this is the only restaurant here.

This ain’t the cheapest lunch you’ll find in the area, but honestly - they could charge a lot more for the location alone. The service is excellent and the food really good. This place is well worth the trip up for lunch, the views are incredible.

Had the most expensive coke in my life. It was 8 euro, I haven’t seen such prices even in Switzerland or airports. At least it includes the free toilet…

Drinks: **Aperol Spritz** - Slide 1 - Standard, yet enjoyable. **Mojito** - Slide 1 - Sweet, refreshing, and tasty. My boyfriend and I came here while exploring Capri. They served my boyfriend the wrong drink, but the drinks were decent overall. The pizza was just average, and the bee infestation next to us made the experience uncomfortable. Additionally, the place was quite pricey. There was also a man, possibly the manager or owner, who was very particular about not letting people sit too long or at all if they weren’t eating, despite plenty of available seating and the intense heat. Despite this, I still recommend the Monte Solaro Chair Lift for its stunning views. If you can afford it, enjoy a cocktail, but I’d suggest skipping the food. Date Visited: 9/7/2023

We had lunch here while at the top of Monte Solaro. The prices for food and cocktails were appropriate. The views were incredible. Service was a little slow due to not enough wait staff.

I had the worst sandwich in the whole Italy , and the cost was 10€ for it! I had a sandwich and a lemon juice ( which wasn’t good either ) for 19€ which is a scam. The view is great but this place doesn’t worth it.

When we toured Capri our tour guide highly recommended we take the chairlift up to this restaurant he told us they call it paradise because of the views. Round-trip for the chairlift was €14. The chairlift was about 10 minutes each way. When you get up there the views are stunning you have 360° views of the island. There's a small little restaurant with some choices of sandwiches, drinks, fruit, dessert. Our tour guide recommended the lemon cello spritz, which was very good. The sandwich was OK. It felt premade but overall the ambience was incredible.
