Stopped by for lunch after exploring the Château de Chantilly. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the château, and since I visited on a Monday morning, it wasn’t crowded at all. The servers were kind and provided an English menu.
I ordered an appetizer—a squash purée with an egg—and, of course, the famous Chantilly cream dessert, which was my main reason for visiting Chantilly. The food was quite good, though the Chantilly cream itself didn’t feel particularly special—but that’s just a personal impression.
Since the restaurant is in the château, I imagine it’s a renovated space that was once part of the grand estate. It’s a great spot to take a break, rest your legs, and grab a meal after walking around the château. Would recommend it to anyone visiting!
