Great plate of cheese and ham followed by a chocolate brownie. Country living in a great spot at a reasonable price. Very friendly service 👍

I came for afternoon tea. The tea tastes good. Apricot tarte tastes fine, but I beg to differ for the choux a la creme cause that's one of the best I've ever had. But the service is really slow, and the counter for patisserie doesn't have a cashier, so it's a hassle to make the payment. The garden is good to spend some time during in nice weather. They also have a souvenir shop. I bought the cider. There's one cider that is labeled as "medaille d'or" and the regular one with 3 euros difference on price. I asked the seller what's the difference between those two taste-wise, but she couldn't even explain. My friends agreed that the taste difference for both bottles is hardly noticeable and most likely the same tho there's 3 euros difference on price.

i don’t understand why this place has such bad reviews. the food was very good and was plated nicely. we got club sandwiches, fish and chips, roasted eggplant, and deviled eggs. everything was very good. the staff was very friendly. also the shop connected to it has a really cute cat that was sleeping when we were there! very good overall in my opinion!

The french fries were completely soaked in oil. Not possible to eat. We received a cold bread which seems to come directly from the fridge. Beer wasn't cold for a sunny day. The charcuterie was a nice plate.

We tried the restaurant being well aware it was an overpriced tourist trap, but we, at least, expected decent food. However, the bread for the 18€ club sandwich was cold, stale (at least 1day old). The fires were soggy. The only decent food item was the cookie which makes their tea house the better option, if one really needs to stop here for a bite.

Ordered the club sandwich which was extremely overpriced and much worse than similar sandwiches sold at the train station for a third of the price. The only edible thing on the plate were the fries. Could not finish the sandwich.

Waited 30mins and spent 16.5 euros for a tasteless fish and soggy fries. The coffee was also pretty bad.

Yelp
This was just a short distance down the road from Monet's house, and we decided to stop in here for some lunch. Basically it is set up as a buffet style place where you collect your meal on a tray and they pay for it at the end. As well as that they also run a gift shop, and since this is where Moent lived you can probably guess what dominates the shop (though they are all unofficial). While they do have an indoor area, most of the cafe is actually an outdoor area, though they do have shelter for inclement weather. It's not bad, and not too pricey either.

Yelp
There appeared to be a number (probably up to 10) of places that offered light meals within a short walk of Giverny. My family had chosen this one while I was purchasing tickets. They have an indoor dining area (with one wall open the day we went; it was decent weather). I think they also had some outdoor seating too. Basically you get a tray and pick items out of a buffet-type selection. They have pre-packaged items, plus some fresh-made sandwiches. They server a variety of beverages, including some beers and wine in the small plastic bottle variety. If you're here at meal-time, your focus is probably either getting into the garden or, having finished your tour, getting back on the road. I'm guessing the village of Giverny is not really a 'dining destination'. Still, this was a perfectly acceptable option for a quick bite en route to or from the gardens.

Yelp
We were hungry but this place was a true disappointment. We were given a buzzer to notify when the food was ready. It never alarmed. When my husband went to the window it had been sitting there for some time. They gave it to him. His mushroom croque was cold, hard and burnt. The salads were over dressed. The gaspacho was good but my vegetarian quiche was not vegetarian. When I complained, they replaced it but we had waited so long that I had to eat it quickly so that we could make our train home. My husband ate part of it and thought it was much better than his food. My husband's comment "at least now you can't say that we had a bad meal in France".

Yelp
Attractive food displays, but plan to pay a lot for a (half full) cup of coffee. And then even more if you actually want some milk or cream in it. Seriously?

Yelp
We didn't expect a cafeteria style cafe to be as good as it was! Their homemade soup was out of this world and the sandwiches and desserts were quite good for the casual environment. It definitely gets packed when the tourist buses come through so make sure to get there before they all arrive if you're staying in Giverny.
