Incredible building to enjoy the views of the historic zone in CDMX. The food was good, but the view and atmosphere really makes this place worth visiting. I had some mole, and my girlfriend and I both had various soups as an appetizer. The service was excellent, and we were always attended too. Highly recommend eating dinner here around sunset.

Google
What a wonderful restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was great and the view phenomenal. The atmosphere was calm and classy. Mauricio our server was super helpful. This a much superior restaurant to The overrated and pretentious Balcón del Zócalo, whose only saving grace is the view and it isn’t even as nice as La Casa de las Sirenas.

Google
Beautiful place !! With amazing view!! Service was excellent and food was delicious! Margaritas look good but they weren’t!! Can believe that people use fake lemon and margarita mix in Mexico !!

Google
Excellent place, high quality food, nice atmosphere with a terra over de plaza de la consitucion. One entry, one main course, one soup, water and house wine was around 70€. Impressive entrance in a XVII century house, a sure place if you want to be sure to spend a lovely night.

Google
Definitely a 3* Michelin restaurant! This and many restaurants like it in Mexico City are the reason why the Michelin guide doesn’t publish or grant stars in Mexico: it would steal the show for the European restaurants! Amazing setting, amazing food, super service and the best Margarita de Tamarindo I’ve ever tried (must be over 100 by now!).

Google
Great view, beautiful building and delicious food. We had duck , Ceviche, and tried mole for the first time. All great dishes. Very pleasant.

Google
The view is simply AMAZING. I’m so happy I found this beautiful restaurant to watch the sunset. The service was wonderful and the food and drinks were great! Specially the sangria! A bit more on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the view ❤️

Google
I’ve been in so many places allready but this place Here took my breath away. Food was delicious, service left no wishes open and the architecture and atmosphere left such an great mark. This place is worth every penny!!!!!!!! Don’t miss out on this place when in Mexico

Yelp
A great find in the historic center, just steps from the Templo Mayor and Palacio Nacional. The ambiance was dim lighting outside on the large outdoor terrace. Almost all of the guests were seated outside. It felt quite cozy and had a great view. The food was excellent. We tried the ceviche verde, creama de cilantro, pulpo braceado, and arroz a la tumbada. All good. I was glad to eat something other than tacos. Service was good. Prices were higher - definitely don't think this place is for locals. I would recommend and I would come back again.

Yelp
This restaurant was beautiful and had an amazing view. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs. If you visiting with someone who is handicap there is no elevator. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The traditional mole was DELICIOUS. It came with a black bean tamale that tasted so good together. Overall the food was good but the service was mediocre. They would forget to check on us. Good experience but don't know if I'd return.

Yelp
First of all, the restaurant is located in an extremely busy plaza, next to a cathedral, in case you're having difficulty finding it. Second of all, there are 2 steep staircases you must climb to get to the actual restaurant, so I hope your knees can take it. Mezcalita Poblano - a bit spicy and refreshing Mexcalita Topical - similar to the Poblano, just not spicy Pavo (baked duck) entree - very tasty. The sweet potatoes were slightly too buttery, as you could clearly taste it. Other than that, good dish. Great views of the plaza, on the patio area

Yelp
So glad I found this restaurant on Google and Yelp! It is right next to Templor Mayor and across from the Cathedral! We requested to sit at the top floor terrace, so the host walked us through the Casa, which is a gorgeous historical house! I love the design of this house, it is so intricate and detailed that a walk through the house to the terrace was like a walk through a beautiful museum space! The view where we sat was wonderful! because we had 6 people in our party, we sat at a table right next to the bar table, which was next to the edge of the terrace! The weather was beautiful which made our experience even better! The service here was top notch! Food was excellent, one of the best I had in CDMX, and drinks were delicious! Couple things I had here that was one of the best meals I had in MX was the chicken in mango mole, WOW!!! And, taco de lechon! I have never had taco de lechon like how they did here before! You literally got a huge crispy pork with all the garnish on a perfectly grilled tortilla! YUM!! The fish and the pulpa were also delicious!!! Overall, so so good! I highly recommend you to stop here and try this place! Yelp is not that popular in MX so if you can't find something via Yelp, you can Google! And once you ate at a place you like in MX, I hope to encourage you to write a review on Yelp! :)

Yelp
This spot is a must try!! This was a highlight dinner for me and my friends. The service was amazing and the food was even better. The view and interior are gorgeous. We spent maybe 3 hours here just because it was so nice and we were really enjoying ourselves. I believe Johnny was our server and he was soo kind and helpful with the menu. The servers seem to really enjoy working together. They all seemed to get along and look so happy. Johnny suggested the octopus as an app, we were a little hesitant but we ended up ordering 2 of them cuz it was sooo good. The pork belly was also amazing, it was so thick and tender. All tortillas are made fresh. The salmon (not seasonal) was incredible. Johnny also suggested that even tho I wanted to fish and risotto. I'm glad we went with all his suggestions. We got 2 desserts, the Gaznates rellenos and cheesecake, they were beautiful and delicious. Everything was perfection. Something that was a nice surprise was the reggae club next door on the rooftop. We could hear good music and hopped over and had a good time there after dinner, only on Sundays I heard.

Yelp
This restaurant was 5 stars all around. I literally think about this Mango Mole I got all the time. The Mango Mole was sooo good! It was a unique flavor but whoever made this deserves a raise. I also got the Mazapan martini which was amazing as well. The service was very attentive and the view is to die for. They have the best view in the city. Amazing!

Alvin M.

Yelp
Came here for a group lunch after hours of exploring. Probably the best restaurant experience of my Mexico City trip. Rooftop with beautiful views. Friendly staff. The maria bonita (mezcal cocktail with fresh berries and rosemary) was fantastic, ended up getting two! Their seafood was perfectly cooked and delicious. Even the salads were awesome.

J T.

Yelp
Service is impeccable. Raoul was a fantastic server and his attention to service really made our whole trip !! We had the best view, best drinks, best food- really enjoyed our visit. Firstly, the restaurant has a view of the Templo Mayor, and a view of the Cathedral. The restaurant is situated in a historical building and it is beautiful, it is full of light and has multiple levels. We sat on the top floor terrace and we had an incredibly beautiful view. We had the octopus (pulpo)and had some soup and the ceviche verde. ALL was delicious. We had several mezcals also and it was fabulous. Really enjoyed our visit here. It was one of our best meals in Mexico. The ambiance was fantastic. If you are in the Zocolo, this restaurant is not to be missed.

Mariana G.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I started with a glass of their deliciously refreshing sangria clásica. Then I had the "ceviche verde" (fish marinated in lime, epazote and cilantro, served with corn, red onion, and avocado) and "chamorro al pibil" (pork leg marinated in achiote paste, orange juice, and other spices, cooked over low heat, served with pineapple salad). The chamorro al pibil was so soft and bursting with flavor. For dessert, I had a scoop of their mango sorbet, which was the most underwhelming part of the meal. The service was so-so. Two separate times, when ordering drinks and when ordering entrees, we ordered something that never came out. When we asked our server about it, he seemed to have no recollection that we had ever ordered it. Not sure where the miscommunication happened, since I speak fluent Spanish. We had a great time regardless.

Lilly R.

Yelp
Touristing the magnificent area of the Downtown/The Cathedral & Templo Mayor ruins. After a whole morning of walking and learning about my beautiful Country and people, we decided to stop in the perfect spot : "La Casa de Las Sirenas" A building from the late 1790's perhaps even older. What a space, construction and service. This place definitely is for the tourism, little pricey but full of surprises in the menu, the attentions, decor & views are breathtaking.

Pete H.

Yelp
The best appetizer and cocktail we had the entire trip. The view was amazing, the service was fantastic and the desert and coffee were wonderful. Loved our entrees too. Will return the next time we visit Mexico City.

Robert A.

Yelp
Haven't even finished my food yet and had to leave them a 5 star review , Granted this wasn't our first choice we wanted to go to balcon de zocalo but it was packed so we came here and the food and drinks here did absolutely not disappoint I am really thankful and happy as I write this review the food is 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Aesthetic 11/10 Service 11/10 Really in love with Mexico City and can totally see my Self living here .. these mufckaz are talented as fkk they really lying to us back in the United States.. MEXICO IS THE COOLEST THING SINCE ELECTRICITY!!.. will definitely be back!

William M.

Yelp
Food: delicious and unique. Oh the mole! Ambience: gorgeously designed and amazing views.

Carlos M.

Yelp
Amazing views of the cathedral. Service courteous, accommodating, and professional. The house drink Maria Bonita is refreshing. My wife had it made with Tequila and I had the original with Mezcal. The ceviche as started and the beet salad were delicious. For the entree my wife had the fish and I had the beef with calabazas. Unfortunately there was a heavy rain that interrupted our dinner, but after a few minutes we were able to resume enjoying our food. We'd definitely go back to try some other items on the menu.

Scott J.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant in the Zocalo area with amazing views of the old cathedral, located on the top floor of a beautiful old building. Service was great, and though it's been almost 2 months since I was there, I'm still dreaming about the Mole that I had... Guac Appetizer - 5 stars. Delicious and creamy, and so fresh. Mole - 5+ Stars. AMAZING!! I got the classic Mole, and my buddy got the chocolate based Mole. Both were SENSATIONAL!! Cheesecake Dessert - 5 stars. It was my birthday and they brought this out, and it was superb, adorned with delicious fruit. I had heard that this spot has the best Mole in town, and the rumors are all correct. The search is over!

Ed E.

Yelp
Delicious molé with an amazing view. The service was outstanding. The tortillas are some of the best I've ever had.

Leslie D.

Yelp
Every part of the meal, drinks included was fantastic! We did not expect such a beautiful view and delicious food when our plans changed last minute. Highly recommend the ceviche verde, beef main course and signature soup.

Carl C.

Yelp
Great ambiance, delicious food, and awesome service. Close to Zocalo and everything else in the historic area of Mexico City.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Food and service was amazing. The views of the downtown area were incredible and the mole was the best I've had in my life!

Sarita N.

Yelp
Great location to enjoy a delicious meal. Service was great. It's a nice elegant yet casual environment. The menu offers great traditional Mexican plates with a twist. The only reason not giving 5 is because I spilled my cucumber-lime drink after the first sit. They quickly came to clean up but didn't offer to replace my drink. I recognize it was my fault, but it would have been a much better experience if they had replaced my drink, and would have gotten a fatter tip. It's all about the service

Sharon L.

Yelp
We made this our local hangout while we were in Mexico City. Great for a beer or go to the rooftop for an amazing meal. The interior was well designed, although the weather was too perfect not to dine outdoors.

Elijah W.

Yelp
This was my and my fantastic girlfriends first restaurant visit at 8pm when landing in Mexico City. It's tucked away in a quiet area off a busy street north of the zócalo, making it pleasant walk. There's a few other restaurants near by and the entrance is tucked beneath a high rise. We were greeted by the host who took us up 3 stories of a beautiful decorated apartment- style building with stained glass windows and art of the city from the 1850's. They have a bar and most seating is out on a patio, if you reserve or are lucky enough you get a view of the backside of the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral- stunning at night. We ordered Ceviche Verde, great limey flavor with lightly seared white fish chunks and onion. Mole, on point texture and flavor that smothered a large 8-10oz chicken- very filling! And Mahi-mahi Pescado Poblano Risotto which was absolutely delicious. To drink, house margarita cocktail which they present with a flamed sage. It had great jaimaca flavor and muddled blackberry- good for those with sweet taste. Then the tamarindo margarita, I told the server I wanted it spicy, and it was SPICY and just the way I like it with muddled jalapenos (they are spicier down in MX!). We paid $1,500 pesos w/o tip. The service was great, be sure to be vocal with your server as they'll let you enjoy the ambiance and company rather than bother you about refills on water, chips, check, etc. Overall fantastic experience and Segway to Mexico City!

Andrew W.

Yelp
Excellent food. Great service. Friendly staff. Beautiful balcony and setting. Great view

Eduardo C.

Yelp
Great spot. Good traditional Mexican food. Perfect to enjoy views of the historic center of CDMX

Brenda O.

Yelp
You come here for the view. The fruity salad and the black mole were good but cocktails were tasty too.

Ricky Z.

Yelp
Their chips + guac + ant larvae dish was one of the best dishes I've had my entire MX trip. Incredible view and highly underrated restaurant.

David H.

Yelp
Food here is hit and miss. The special pork dish recommended was extremely dry and tasted like jerky. Waitor was kind enough to switch for a octopus which I loved. Basic, tender and delicious. Sopa with beef marrow was also underwhelming without much flavor. Guacamole traditional cane with fried pork skins, can't go wrong with that... Incredible view and location perfect for a tourist trap costing 650 pesos

Sam W.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant with great views...I recommend making a reservation...This is a more upscale and pricey restaurant than what you will find in outer parts of the city, but the atmosphere, service and food quality is worth it...My favorite was the Sopa de Cilantro...I had the chicken mole as the entree with was a boneless skinless chicken breast smothered in rich mole. I actually prefer my chicken on the bone with mole, but over all it was a romantic day with my husband in the Historic Center of CDMX...

Larry W.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant near the Zocalo. Overlooking the back of the cathedral. Such a majestic place Ruth great food, and tasty Matgaritas

Eric R.

Yelp
The food here was amazing. The service was great. The view from the terrace also wonderful. Everything about the meal was immensely satisfying.

Michael E.

Yelp
We just came here for a quick appetizer and beer on the patio before we set out for more exploration, but it was a really fun experience being able to sit next to the ruins, relax in a little quieter side of Zocalo, and enjoy some food and drink. They also have a really nice bathroom, so rather than trying to find somewhere in the craziness of Zocalo, come here, have a drink and a quick bite, and relieve yourself. I cannot vouch for the food, but based upon the app that we had, I can imagine it is pretty tasty! if you are in Zocalo area and want a quick drink/bite, I would check this place out.

Khatereh M.

Yelp
Found this restaurant by luck but food and service was just amazing, their mole its heavenly! Their guacamole appetizer with fried pork stomach was really good, we had 4 different food, fish, meat and chicken, all was yummy and great service too!

Valentina C.

Yelp
absolutely amazing the food was great the staff were so friendly and professional they really took good care of us . THE MOLE THE MANGO IS DELICIOUS and the drinks and desserts were delicious as well this restaurant deserves all the hype . best restaurant I've ever been too

Suzanne W.

Yelp
Great food and drink at a fabulous location. We were seated on the balcony overlooking the Templo. Can't wait to return. Really nice staff.

Audrey O.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant inside a beautiful old home! Delicious food and incredible views. 100% recommend if you're visiting Mexico City!

David C.

Yelp
Really beautiful roof top with a gorgeous view of the plaza and church, in the historic part of town. Definitely recommend for a lunch spot during the day to get some tasty food and take a break from the sun. The octopus was delicious and so was the pulled pork tacos appetizer.

Ana M.

Yelp
I feel like rating the building because it is beautiful. Truly colonial one. It is huge, and simply one you have to visit. The view it has is breath taking from downtown. I was rating this because the food is nothing out of this world. And after visiting other traditional mexican food restaurants, I can say this is not the best. I also think prices could be better. I think they are charging for the location. The service was not the best. I think they should change this because of this touristic location.

Jay Y.

Yelp
This is by far the best meal I had in Mexico City! Located in a beautiful historic building right behind the Cathedral, La Casa de las Sirenas (The House of the Sirens) provides not only delicious traditional Mexican cuisine but also a stunning view of Centro Historico on the balcony. My choice was a plate of grilled seafood in roasted pepper sauce, which sounds ordinary but actually tastes extraordinarily great: the juicy octopus legs, the succulent shrimps, and most importantly the sweet crab legs! I usually finish my meal within an hour, but here, I cannot help but savor but the terrific food and view for 3 hours. While this was the most expensive meal I had in DF (300 peso for that entree), I thought it was worth everything! Surprisingly, this spot may still be a local secret despite its proximity to Zocalo because the Saturday lunch crowd didn't flow in until much later. Before the secret is out, definitely make this a must-eat spot while you are in Mexico City! --- tl;dr version: 1) In a beautiful house with a stunning balcony view 2) Most delicious meal I had! 3) Also the most expensive I paid in DF, but it's worth it! Highly recommend

Brian P.

Yelp
This is the definition of a hidden gem. Located literally above the Templo Mayor with stunning views of the Metropolitan Cathedral, The Palace, and Plaza de la Consticucion, this restaurant sits upstairs in a 16th century building filled with beautiful tiles, stair cases, and stained glass. You MUST sit on the 18th century terrace to enjoy the food. The food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated. The duck was amazing. Best mango margarita I've ever had. Great selection of Mezcal.

Henry P.

Yelp
It's okay. Rather dated decor and service. But this is what people expect. Clearly I was not impressed. Portions were small for the price. The menu is hilarious since is has several typos. The flan was lovely, but the texture was grainy. I would look elsewhere.

Tony T.

Yelp
If you have the opportunity to visit Mexico City, you will most likely stroll through the impressive Centro Histórico to the Zocalo, one of the most beautiful main squares in Latin America. Towering over the Zocalo is the 16th century Metropolitan Cathedral, where you will find one of the most charming restaurants alongside its gardens. La Casa de las Sirenas is a three story former private residence that has been transformed into a lovely escape for lunch or dinner. Head straight to the top floor terrace where you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Cathedral and Zocalo! On my most recent visit, I started off with one of their Classic Margaritas - absolutely delicious. I've also sampled their other flavors - mango and tamarind - on past visits and they are also well prepared and tasty. I then started off the meal with the Tacos de Carnitas de Pato de Estilo Michoacán (duck meat simmered with orange and Mexican spices) served with corn tortillas. The duck filling for the tortillas was prepared well and delicately spiced. I then ordered a traditional Mexican specialty - El Chile en Nogada, a stuffed pepper filled with an outstanding mixture of ground meat, pears, apples, raisins, and nuts and complemented by a sweet white sauce and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds. Really well done. Overall, La Casa is truly a special place. From the time you walk into the building and walk up to the top floor, you will be entranced by its old world charm and outstanding Mexican cuisine. A must-do whenever you're in town!

Daniel L.

Yelp
The staff are very courteous and the food is very good. There is also a great view of the cathedral, but the tables that have the best view are only for two people and may require a reservation or a walk in off peak meal hours.

Jacque B.

Yelp
Stopped here after being turned away at El Mayor for brunch. They were full and the wait was 45 minutes. I am so glad that they were full. Otherwise we wouldn't have tried this gem! We had Taco de pulpo and Pulpo Braceado. Both dishes were muy sabroso! Also the service was awesome. If you are in Zócalo you must stop by and give them a try!

Jennifer T.

Yelp
What a wonderful view, tucked away behind the cathedral and pretty quiet. A great menu with a woman making tortillas fresh for your table. I ordered the camarones al ajillo and a Chardonnay. A very delicious meal! The guacamole and salsita were also tasty. I would definitely recommend this place!

Sergii S.

Yelp
Everything was amazing!!! Food, interior and view from some tables on main square. Totally recommend this place especially for couples. Just some waiters looking like a bit lost and slow:(

Adrian G.

Yelp
One of the most romantic restaurants I have been in because of the rooftop terrace; make reservations for the area. Food was great and ambience was even better.

Unique I.

Yelp
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service! Stay away! We made a reservation but honestly there was hardly anyone there anyway so a reservation is not even needed. We originally went due to the view. The way the patio seating is, unless you're one of the two tables in the front, you don't really get to enjoy the view. Our waiter started out good for our drinks and he spoke English which was a plus. We got a mango and mandarin margarita which was excellent! After that we lost his attention. We ordered and got our food in a timely manner but not once did the waiter ever ask if we needed anything else or how it was. In addition, my order was incorrect, he didn't provide us with a napkin until halfway through our meal, We had to ask for a spoon for our soup (who serves soup without a spoon!), asked for butter never got it, the list can go on and on. We wanted to hurry up and eat just to get out! Unfortunately we did not feel that our waiter was worthy of a generous tip however he had the audacity to request more of a tip! Who does that? I tip base on service, he should've been lucky we even gave him anything. The food itself was pretty good but waaaaaay overpriced for the amount you get. I never had that small of tacos in my life. Overall not worth your time and I do not recommend it.

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
While on a tour of historic Mexico City, my hired tour guide suggested this place knowing that I appreciate good architecture and good food. The view from the rooftop terrace was lovely. Our drinks were refreshing. Service was good. We decided on having a few appetizers. The duck tacos were really delicious. The presentation is surprising as they come out "wrapped" up. I think the other thing we ordered was the panic his de cochinita pinil. It was good too. They put a homemade sauce on the table I would have loved to use but it was too spicy for me. My guide loved it. The consistency was remarkable- not store bought for sure! I would stop in here again when in the area and try more things (and get these two appetizers again). A woman at the table next to is was eating a chicken mole that looked awesome. I would have asked her if I thought she spoke English!!

Sarah G.

Yelp
Great location. Awesome view! The chef Victor Aguilar is doing a great job. I remember the food was not as good as it is now. I just can't wait to go back. Sadly we live miles away! One of the best Margaritas ever!
