Stayed 2 nights here. Beautifully located on the hillside at the entrance to the Colca Canyon, with stunning views from many rooms of the surrounding volcanoes — including the smoking Sabancaya — and down into the canyon. A great base for hikes in and around the Colca Canyon (including to some Inca ruins) or for visiting the canyon itself and the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where condor sightings are possible.||The terrace is wonderful for relaxing, reading, or simply gazing into the canyon. Drink prices are fair.||Rooms are very basic (no hairdryer, maybe available on request?), but overall full of charm — especially the main lodge, which has the cozy feel of a mountain retreat with a welcoming fireplace. We were particularly charmed by Tiago, the baby alpaca who was always hanging around us — absolutely adorable!||Breakfast was rather simple but fine. As there are no options for eating out, you probably find yourself with having unch and dinner there. Was once excellent, once good. Excellent, especially when served buffet-style — good variety and delicious flavors. The à la carte option was fine, but not as good as the buffets.||While the accommodation is quite simple overall, it’s clean, and the combination of its remote hillside location and genuine mountain-lodge atmosphere left a lasting impression. One of the most beautiful places we stayed during our trip. Because of the very basic room-setting 4*.
