La Casa de Melgar

I first came here with friends and was so impressed by the comfort and excellent care we received. Once again - 8 years later - it remains warm and welcoming. Gorgeous old hacienda that retains its historic character with modern amenities.

Highly recommend this place for clean and comfortable accommodation in a great location in Arequipa. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast is really nice. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, with good hot water in the showers. The common courtyard has a beautiful garden too. I give it 5/5 relative to the cost.

La Casa de Melgar is a gorgeous hotel with rooms from the XVIII century. It's located just near everything you need to see in Arequipa. The staff was really friendly, accommodated all our requests and even offered us a free upgrade and some chocolates for my husband's birthday. Things to improve: amenities in the bathroom are limited and the superoor room is pretty cold (no heater is available). Additionally, they should consider renovation of the bathrooms.

The best thing about Casa de Melgar is its location. It is adjacent to Arequipa’s historical center and only a few minutes walk to must-sees. The area is also home to an abundance of great restaurants. Our room was comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

This was the most beautiful place I have stayed it. It is an old historical building with high ceilings and antique furniture. They have a beautiful garden . Breakfast was great with many options. They gave us a box when we left for the airport. Service was great, we could leave our luggage here when we left for a night in Colca. Totally recommended. Close to the center , in a quiet neighbourhood.

The experience was nice and I felt safe there also they give us wifi free , rooms were clean and warm. Good hotel if you want to be in Arequipa.

Beautiful authentic place very clean and lovely garden. Close to everything and great breakfast including freshly cooked eggs, fruits and the best olives. |Walking distance to main square and attractions. Highly recommend and value for money
