La Casa de Zarela - Hotel - Restaurante Thai

Excellent! The food was delicious with authentic Thai flavors, and there was no need to worry about allergies. Every dish was great, and the owner was incredibly friendly—he shared lots of useful information and even prepared breakfast according to our preferred time. The room was a bit small, but overall very clean, tidy, and stylishly designed. Highly recommended! I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Huaraz!

Restaurant review: great tasty Thai food with friendly staff. We had two soups, which were rich with vegetables and could be meals by themselves. We also had the Curry amarillo with chicken (we asked for and got it not spicy, unlike other places where we got spicy food when we asked for non slicy). And we also had the Verduras Salteadas with chicken. There were a lot of vegetables, as we like it.

We came here for dinner and it was just excellent. We are the red and green curry and it was delicious. The place is also lovely and the owner super friendly and gave us lots of tips about what to do in huaraz. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we only came for dinner on our last night in huaraz. By far without question- the best dinner we had in peru. Wonderful quality thai food, the atmosphere is warm and cosy in the restaurant that is also the hostel loby. The hostess is kind and welcoming. All we found very rare to find in huaraz… If we ever come back, will definitely stay here. But regardless, step in for a lovely dinner 🌿

Second time I stayed here and would always stay here every visit to Huaraz. Zarela is amazing, communicative and really kind. I always felt safe and comfortable staying there. The rooms are super clean, the food is good and she set out food for us on the days where we had to wake up early for a hike. The eating area was a fun place to chat with others who are also staying there. We booked a late night bus back to Lima so on the day we checked out, we were able to store our bags there so we could go out for the day and come back to pick it up. Zarela is really amazing and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

La Casa de Zarela was the perfect place to stay in Huaraz. Zarela, the owner, is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about Huaraz and its surroundings, and always ready to provide helpful tips. The breakfast and Thai food she serves are both great. A nice extra: they provide a laundry service using cold wash and air drying, perfect for sensitive woolen outdoor gear. We stayed here to acclimatize to the altitude and could conveniently leave our luggage while we did the Santa Cruz trail, and come back for one last night. I highly recommend staying here during your trip to Huaraz.

A really nice, cozy small hotel with an amicable, flexible hostess. Quiet and very friendly interiors and public areas, breakfast included. Lots of climber related stuff. A very comfortable and family feeling. Some walk to the center business area but generally not a big deal. Definitely will recommend to everyone, and come back to it myself.

We only are here to eat - we stayed at a different hostel. The food is really fantastic and Zarela is lovely, as others have said. She is very friendly and has a great sense of humour. She also helped us with tips for our next hike. It's a shame we're leaving Huaraz today, otherwise we would probably have come back! Highly recommended.
