We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Degli Archi for just one night, but it left a lasting impression on us. This truly unique and atmospheric accommodation, carved directly into the mountain rock, felt like stepping into another world—peaceful, timeless, and filled with charm. We found ourselves wishing we could stay longer. Our host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and attention to detail really added to the experience and made our short stay even more memorable. We highly recommend Casa Degli Archi to anyone looking for a stay that’s out of the ordinary, filled with character, and set in a truly the stunning location that is Pitigliano. This is the kind of place you’ll always remember—and we certainly will!

Absolutely beautiful apartment, clean and stunning. Unfortunately minor problems that should have been dealt with before our arrival, especially that other reviews had left the same comments time after time. Two hairdryers supplied in the apartment, neither were compatable with the electric sockets, both were replaced on our second day. No bottle opener, come on management we are in the heart of Italian Wine producers and told to ask a nearby restaurant to open our bottle of wine ? The kitchen is well set out with lots of beautiful serving plates etc, however no kettle, no pans. There is a super hob but it’s completely redundant. The owner was available by tel, he did seem irritated that I needed the hairdryers to work as we were due to be out early on our first morning. We were told by a message that our check out on the 3rd day would be put back to 10:00 due the inconvenience, we then received another message saying we would have to be out by 9:30. Gorgeous apartment but felt a little let down with care and service. |The parking is difficult but you can find somewhere in the newer part with a 15-20 minute walk, that was fine as we were aware beforehand. It really is a special town.

Absolutely beautiful apartment overlooking a garden & valley outside the city, would definitely stay here again. First, cons: no A/C in summer; the master bedroom window is right by the front door and people tend to gather outside at night & in the morning to admire the view; master bathroom could be improved by better ventilation and a shower curtain. However, these were minor quirks overall. The view is beautiful and so is the decor, there’s a great balcony to sit and enjoy your morning coffee, it stayed remarkably cool inside with the windows open considering how hot it was outside while we were there, kitchen was well equipped with plenty of serving dishes & appliances (the stove also didn’t work but that may have been user error), and the city is so beautiful with so many great places to eat. Highly recommend!

Pitigliano is a little medieval Tuscan jam. Spending 2 nights at La Casa Degli Archi complemented the scenery perfectly. ||The flat location is the best you can ask for. Built on the edge of a ridge (Familiar with the famous Pitigliano pics of golden buildings on top of a cliff? You will Practically wave out from those windows), giving you the best views of the valley. Best little balcony for a drink, curved into tuff, on top of the world! Having said that, the flat is on the opposite end of the entrance to the old city so this is a no car zone. You will have to walk with your luggage a few hundred meters (10 min walk max). It wasn't a problem for us but accessibility wise worth mentioning. ||The flat is huge and beautiful and The suite we stayed in (Vicolo suite) was specious and had a huge hot tab. ||Parking is easy and free just outside the Old city (you'll get all the info and some nice recommendations from the property a week before arrival). ||Beware of visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday as almost everything is closed. ||Pitigliano is 30 min drive to Saturinia and the amazing Cascate del Mulino hot springs (Afternoon towards the sunset is less crowded).||||The bad: Bathroom had heavy moldy smell, although was very clean.

We spent two nights here while visiting Pitigliano. We loved it! The view was amazing. The home is very unique in that it has an Etruscan tunnel. ||||The home is spacious and tastefully decorated. It has two large living room areas, a dining room and kitchen. We did not cook but the kitchen looked well-equipped. The entire house was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was quite large. They offered a light breakfast, mainly cereal, yogurt, breads and fruit but it was adequate. I don't believe it was air conditioned but we slept with the window opened and it was fine. There is parking nearby. The wifi worked but was very slow. It did not work in the bedroom. ||||We loved the location; right in old town, close to the Jewish ghetto. ||||We highly recommend this place. We hope to return.

When I first booked this place, I didn’t expect much from it. But it was so cute, clean, comfortable and good value it surpassed my expectations! There are 2 separate living areas,a kitchen and dining area which you are just sharing with 1 other couple. Each of us have our own bathroom. We didn’t even bump into the other couple at all!! There is a little bit of walking and steps to get there, so I would advise to bring just what you need in a small bag. Definitely park outside of old town and walk in as suggested by the place.

Definitely a highlight of our trip around Tuscany! We stayed in appartement Casa Bilance. It was very clean, spacious, well equipped and the view was breathtaking!! It was traditional with thick walls, smaller windows and original decorations. We were a bit lost at first but the reception was available on the phone even after working hours which was really helpful. Breakfast was basic and waiting for us in a cute basket. It was a wonderful authentic experience :)

We stayed here in July 2017 in the room with the stairs down to the old estruscan caves. It was very interesting. The place was clean and the breakfast was nice. Note that in that room there is a window onto the cliff which was a bit of a stress with small children. That said, we had a good stay. Pitigliano and the Via Cave a definitely worth a visit.
