Great place to stay for a few days, the rooms are clean and with plenty of space for 6 beds. The wifi is pretty good although sometimes it disconnects randomly but it is for a few seconds. There are also shared areas with sofas and a small outdoor place with plants and tables where you can enjoy some food from the place. The Hostal is in an amazing area where you have plenty of clubs, museums, things to do and restaurants close by

Stayed in a private room here and it was very well-kept and clean. Slight issue checking-in with the hostel not having my reservation, though I think it was more of Hostelworld not notifying the hostel. However, the lady/employee checking me in was very friendly and kind. Had a short stay and was really only at the hostel to sleep, though I enjoyed my stay.

It is walkable to all areas in the Barrio Antiguo- restaurants, paseo, macroplaza, etc. All rooms have separate heat/cooling, are clean and have adequate bathrooms. Breakfast is delicious on site. The managers are friendly and multi-lingual. It is historic and so much more quaint than a chain hotel

Tucked deep into the Barrio Antiguo, this feels more like a home stay. Friendly staff, bright and spotless rooms, with thoughtful touches and flourishes. I splurged for a private after five weeks of sleeping in dorm bunks throughout Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. Perfect way to bookend my overland Mexico journey. I’d stay here longer if I had the time.

Perfect location in the hip section of town. A couple block walk from tons of cafe’s, museums, and bars. Shared rooms and private rooms are both nice. Hot water, cold AC, clean sheets. The front desk lady is very attentive and gave me a fun tour when I showed up.

Everybody here is super friendly. You meet all sorts of folks from all over the world and can learn all sorts of languages just sitting around with the awesome people. Daniel and the two Ales provided exceptional service. And there is no doubt that Maggie makes the best waffles in town. It’s the most incredible view of the mountains right outside the front door that really makes this the best place I could have happened upon. The private rooms have Roku TV and nice new model minisplit AC units. They’re super effective. The space is small but definitely livable for a week or three. The dorms seem always to be changing and are likely to be busy. Only one shower for a 7 or 8 bed space, though. So the spend on the private room may be worth it. Everything you need as a traveler is within walking distance. Stop by for a brunch and enjoy the amazing Wi-Fi. They take Apple Pay for everything too. Barrio Antiguo is the place to be on the weekends and the streets are full of markets. You can make some great deals with secondhand merchandise informally or go to a high fashion boutique and get whatever your heart desires. All options here from delicious street hot dogs to exquisite international food. I loved Monterrey and staying here made it an amazing journey. The workers here all clearly know and love what they are doing. Great vibes all around here and everybody is welcomed. Note: Photos included some places in the surrounding area and not all was taken on the property.

Very welcoming place, friendly staff and comfortable room with a beautiful view. Walking distance to the Cathedral, Macroplaza and many amenities. We will definitely come back the next time we find ourselves in Monterrey. Thank you for the hospitality!
