La Casa Fitzcarraldo

The Fitzcarraldo was a perfect fit for us in Iquitos. We spent 4 nights there, and loved the jungle feeling. The staff and food was the best in the city. Fresh breakfast and fruit every morning, and we lived the steak, the chicken, the chiccarones! There are always motocars in front to take you wherever you need. Cannot say enough good things about this place. I spent my 40th bday there and they brought me a cake and flowers and smoothies. We miss it already!

La casa fitzcarraldo is the perfect place to relax in iquitos. Great hotel with nice pool surrounded by a microforest, with an excellent restaurant and very nice staff.|The house itself dates back to the production of the movie, which gives a lot of charm and personality to everything. |It is close to the marina of Iquitos, and the center can be reached with a very convenient 5 soles ride.

This is a wonderful garden with swimming pool. Very nice music and food, great juices. WiFi and hammocks. Entrance price is 12 soles, but well worth it. I want to also recommend the breakfast, with home made bread, cheeses, ham and jam, coffee and juice, deliciously fried eggs. All in a setting that surely is copied from a sneak peak into heaven!

Prices have gone up drastically in a year. But still a very nice and relaxing place to spend the afternoon. Food is good drinks are cold. Beautiful pool but always a little cool due to the surrounding vegetation. 4 people food drinks and entry charge for the pool around 200 sole

This is a wonderful place. The owner is a very interesting Swiss gentleman who is a retired filmmaker. He was very friendly and accommodating to our large party of 7. He ordered up transportation when we needed it, had our laundry done after our 10 dat excursion into the Amazon, and gave us great advice on where to go and what to do in Iquitos. The rooms were very clean and the garden/swimming pool is an Oasis in this bustling city. I highly recommend it!

Hotel famous for the movie that was filmed here. You can spend an afternoon by the pool for 10 soles per person. It's cozy, with the hammocks and tables under a thatched roof. The drinks and food are good, but expensive. They should update the place and maintain it a little bit more and it would look much better.

Stayed here for two nights in September 2021. A beautiful oasis tucked away from the chaos of Iquitos. I loved the treehouse! Room was very comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to start or end your journey into the Amazon from iquitos. Nice breakfast and airport shuttle made things very smooth. Rustic and comfortable feeling environment.
