Amazing hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast stops at 9:45 despite it saying until 10:00 so make sure you’re nice and early cos there’s no leeway - had to walk to a cafe and get a coffee disappointedly. Other than that it’s perfect location, lovely rooms, amazing restaurants and first class service (breakfast aside).

Amazing room upgrade, champagne at check in, left a popcorn maker in the room with popcorn for our child, breakfast catering to gluten free was effortless (including home made GF bread). staff were super lovely and helpful and dining onsite at Little Georgette was delightful. Thank you and wish we could have stayed longer!

It brings me mixed feelings to write this review. To be fair, this hotel is centrally located, and decorated with taste and care. The front-line staff were convivial and helpful during my stay. However, the back-office management - in particular, one person, has ruined the good impression I have had with this hotel. I stayed here as part of an international conference in Reims. As instructed by the conference organizer, I contacted a staff member at the hotel, one Mme. Develle, via email, to make my reservation. Several emails went, but no answer. I eventually had to reach out to the conference to get hold of Mme. Develle after two weeks. That was the initial impression I had with this hotel. Fastforward a few months. One month after my stay, I still hadn't seen my invoice in my inbox, so I contacted Mme. Develle via email. It's been five days now, and I haven't heard a word from her. She may not be the right person to issue an invoice. But the long silence is every bit indicative of the hotel's lack of commitment to hospitality. It's not like I'll visit Reims any time soon, but when I do, I know which hotel NOT to stay at. — Dear Mr. Collignon, As much as I appreciate your effort in sending public reply here, I am baffled by the contradiction in your message. I went through my Gmail account from which I had contacted Mme. Develle, and found no trace of any out-of-office notice, neither in the original email chain, nor in the spam box, nor the deleted message box. That said, if such communication had indeed been attempted by Mme. Develle, the fact that no other staff member has been either informed of or involved in the situations, both in February, when I was trying to make a reservation and in November, when I was trying to get an overdue invoice, is proof that there is not only a lack of commitment to hospitality, but an INSTITUTIONAL LACK OF COMMITMENT to work ethic at your hotel. I am now absolutely convinced of my judgement about your establishment and will alert all my friends.

We stayed here three nights to visit champagne houses.|We stayed in a courtyard view room which was quite nice. I don’t think it’s necessary to pay for a cathedral view. Just walk outside and there it is. |The rooms that face the cathedral also have a lot of foot traffic and below there is the courtyard to the restaurant and in warmer months, possibly not as quiet. |The mattress and bedding was quite comfortable. |Since we are titanium, breakfast was included.|It was a buffet breakfast and you could order eggs off the menu.|Ordered eggs twice and didn’t care for them. |Cold. |The buffet had a variety of choices but the quality was just ok.|The croissants were good but not off the charts. |They seemed very understaffed but pleasant to interact with as was all the staff at the hotel. |I would recommend the hotel but I wouldn’t spend extra for breakfast included.

One of the loveliest and most comfortable hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying. The facilities are incredible and the service is warm and attentive. We also enjoyed the spa services - great to relax in the sauna and pool after a long day of travel. In a great central location with a beautiful view of the cathedral. Amazing food at their restaurant and quality room service. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. We arranged transfers from Charles De Gaulle, despite the transfer suffering from a burst tyre before collecting us, another pick up was swiftly organised. We were offered a glass of champagne in our room or at the bar to start off the weekend celebrations, which was greatly appreciated. My Mum also had chocolates in her room with a note which was a nice touch. The rooms were a good size, beds comfy and bathrooms modern and clean. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the historical centre of Reims and with a view from the bar looking at the cathedral. We spent every evening enjoying drinks on the terrace, with the views of the cathedral. It was a relaxing weekend, and would definitely return to this hotel. Thank you!

REVIEW TITLE: Gem panoramic hotel of Reims for a “room with a Cathedral view”||OVERALL RATING: Exceptional. Would stay again and highly recommend for any of the Cathedral view rooms - and particularly Skyline Junior Suite #416. This is the definition of “room with a view”. I could not have been happier with the choice after looking at 20+ properties. Definitely splurge on a Cathedral view room. Uniquely, some come with balconies with that astonishing view. ||REVIEWER BACKGROUND: Fortunate to travel extensively. I have done travel advising for years. We are always looking for that “magic stay” and we found it certainly at Skyline Junior Suite #416 at La Caserne Chanzy. ||DATES OF STAY: 4 nights in September 2025||LOCATION: Uniquely, the only Reims hotel directly facing the front facade of the famed Reims Cathedral - with the views to match. You could not be more centrally located to visit Reims. The magic of this location is you are in the middle of everything visually and physically - but with great soundproofing so it is a true oasis.||UNIQUE HOTEL: This is a 5 star hotel whose site is historically significant in and of itself. The beautiful Art Deco building was built in 1926 and served as the original fire station barracks for Reims. It was fully rehabbed from 2017-2019 and serves as a stunning 89 room boutique hotel as part of the coveted Marriott Autograph Collection. The lobby is sophisticated and welcoming with a small champagne bar. ||ROOM/S: Uniqueness. We got one of its few suites with balconies on the higher floors looking directly at the facade of the Cathedral - called a Skyline Junior Suite. It is all about the view. We rented equal to the “best room for the view” in the hotel according to the front desk, #412. The hotel has 5 stories. We were so happy with #412 on the 4th floor - because it had a tub - vs those on the 5th floor with a shower, not a tub. Another room noted by the front desk for its view in this category was #508 on the 5th floor, with shower, no tub, and categorized as a “handicapped room”.||VIEW: Suite 412 is the definition of a “room with a view” for a beautiful sanctuary of a stay. You could not have a more stunning direct view looking at “the” landmark of Reims, the Cathedral. The view from the room and balcony takes your breath away - day or night. Uniquely this has not just a view of the Cathedral, but this category of room has a balcony in the middle position on the floor directly facing the Reims Cathedral. We actually brought one dinner in and ate on the balcony to just soak in the view. The Cathedral is “huge” in front of you and it is not often you have a world monument right out the window and balcony night or day. If you get a room without a Cathedral side view, there is a small balcony for common use on Floor 5 to take that view in. ||BREAKFAST: Not included in the room rate. 31 Euros per person per nite. Buffet and off the menu service. Elegant ground floor, facing front terrace, breakfast room. ||PARKING: A great asset of the hotel. The hotel has a very precious commodity of onsite parking, with a valet which also is key. 25 Euros per night. ||STAFF: The hotel staff was lovely and welcoming and very helpful. The hotel has a “best in class” Head Concierge Amelie Hallet-Kranzmann of enormous background and pedigree and grace. |  |OTHER INFORMATION & OUR BEST EXPERIENCES: ||CATHEDRAL LIGHT SHOW: It was harvest season in the early fall - so the cathedral facade was illuminated with a colorful night light show set to music 2x per week. This is a don’t miss true wow. ||CHAMPAGNE TOURS: Book your visits early as the tours fill up. I recommend booking the visits in this order. We went to Veuve Clicquot founded in 1772 - then Pommery founded in 1836 - then Ruinart the oldest champagne house founded 1729 - as the experience “builds”. The main cellars (Veuve, Pommery, Ruinart, Taittinger) are a solid 30 minute walk from the center - all somewhat clustered in the same area to the slight southeast of the Reims Cathedral. We felt very safe walking that far and to this section of Reims in the daytime. After dark we would have called an Uber. ||Walk in basis Champagne house Jacquart was the wonderful surprise of our Reims trip. A newer house founded in 1964. The set up is unique as you feel like you have luckily stumbled on the stunning grounds of “your own little French chateau” right in the middle of Reims. Unlike the other houses to the “southeast” - this champagne house is about 20 minutes to the slight “northwest" of the Reims Cathedral. There are outdoor tables and umbrellas for tasting or purchase by the glass or bottle - facing the mini chateau with some eclectic outdoor art. ||DINING & DRINKS: This is a big part of our travel experience. Top recommendations:||L’Atelier. Our #1 dining experience in Reims. For lunch or dinner. On same block as the hotel. Gorgeous decor and food and wonderful staff. We had table #1 at the window. ||Clicquot Cafe. At Veuve Clicquot cellars. Gorgeous outdoor cafe set in Veuve yellow |and white decor. Wonderful. The hamburgers were best in class. They do not take reservations. Opens at 11 am. Starts serving food at noon. Enjoy with a bottle of their bubbly. Open on a Sunday when many other restaurants are closed. ||Le Parvis. Tied for our #1 wine bar. Immediately across from the Cathedral and on same block as the hotel. Has fun menu of food as well. ||Le Coq Rouge. Tied for our #1 wine bar. Likely 1/2 locals and 1/2 tourists. Felt very clubby and local with a great wine/champagne selection and great fun atmosphere. |||And so, MERCI exceptional La Caserne Chanzy and staff for a wonderful and truly memorable stay.

One of my best stays in all of France. The cathedral steals the show. The restaurant is awesome. The staff was amazing and super friendly. Location was right in the middle of Reims. The shuttle/tram stops a block from the hotel. Just an epic location and an epic staff.

Lovely hotel, central location, very helpful staff. The pool and spa were closed when we were there (which was a surprise), but otherwise was a nice hotel!

Fantastic tribute hotel right in the center of town next to the cathedral. We stayed on the 5th floor in a king room and had an amazing balcony and view of the town. Bonvoy members, this is a must!

We are Marriott Ambassador level. 3-night stay. Our A/C was out one day, and the front desk said they would send someone to correct it. The person sent was a front desk employee, with no clue how to fix an A/C. Despite this, we were charged for the night. We asked to speak with teh manager, who never contacted us before or after. The staff was uniformly snooty and acted as though we should thank them. We stayed at teh St. Regions sin Florence and Park Hyatt Vendome in Paris, and had incredible, attentive and polite service, unlike here. Th hotel has to be accessed by cars through barricades; On our departure, we asked how to get our driver through, and were assured they could simply call the front desk. When we left, we saw 3 taxis enter and leave; we were told 5 minute after there "was a problem with teh codes" and would have to hike to our driver. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Next time, we will go back to Les Crayeres where we stayed on our last trip.
