La Casita de Boudhanath - Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant

I recently visited La Casita Restaurant, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. We ordered the garlic prawns, which were perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and infused with just the right amount of garlic. Paired with a glass of wine, the meal felt wonderfully balanced and satisfying. One of the things that makes La Casita truly special is its stunning view of the Boudhanath Stupa. Sitting on the rooftop, enjoying good food and wine while looking out at the beautifully illuminated stupa, created a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, relax, and take in the beauty of Kathmandu. Overall, La Casita offers delicious food, warm service, and one of the best views you can ask for. Highly recommended!

Its a nice small and cozy place with a good view of boudha. The Mix Tapas Platter (Veg) was good with Mushroom Croquettes which was yummy. Good place for spanish food.

Visited this place after seeing mydarlingfood's post. We ordered the Non-Veg Tapas Platter and the Chicken Paella. The tapas were quite nice, and the paella tasted really good too — no complaints on the flavor! But the portion size was so disappointing 😭😭. We were three people, and it was barely enough to share. There’s something so special about Boudha - the energy, the stillness and now La Casita. It’s not every day you find a Spanish tapas place in Kathmandu, let alone one with this VIEW!!! Their Paella is honestly my favorite in their menu, it's so flavourful. And the Sangria!? Perfect for summer and with good company.

La Casita never disappoints. Hands down the best Spanish tapas in Nepal, in the most magical view of the Boudhanath stupa. And for those still dating—it just might be the most romantic spot in the city. Book in advance if you really want to be here!

This was the perfect place to enjoy the sunset on Boudhanath, with a glass of wine and truly delicious tapas. We ordered the veg tapas platter and the pan con tomate + jamon and both were some of the tastiest food we’ve tried in the Kathmandu area! The special that day included desert if you order the tapas platter and it did not disappoint. The staff was also lovely and attentive. It was a little pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend to enjoy a view and great food!
