La Casita de Boudhanath - Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant

I recently visited La Casita Restaurant, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. We ordered the garlic prawns, which were perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and infused with just the right amount of garlic. Paired with a glass of wine, the meal felt wonderfully balanced and satisfying. One of the things that makes La Casita truly special is its stunning view of the Boudhanath Stupa. Sitting on the rooftop, enjoying good food and wine while looking out at the beautifully illuminated stupa, created a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, relax, and take in the beauty of Kathmandu. Overall, La Casita offers delicious food, warm service, and one of the best views you can ask for. Highly recommended!

Its a nice small and cozy place with a good view of boudha. The Mix Tapas Platter (Veg) was good with Mushroom Croquettes which was yummy. Good place for spanish food.

There’s something so special about Boudha - the energy, the stillness and now La Casita. It’s not every day you find a Spanish tapas place in Kathmandu, let alone one with this VIEW!!! Their Paella is honestly my favorite in their menu, it's so flavourful. And the Sangria!? Perfect for summer and with good company.

Visited this place after seeing mydarlingfood's post. We ordered the Non-Veg Tapas Platter and the Chicken Paella. The tapas were quite nice, and the paella tasted really good too — no complaints on the flavor! But the portion size was so disappointing 😭😭. We were three people, and it was barely enough to share. La Casita never disappoints. Hands down the best Spanish tapas in Nepal, in the most magical view of the Boudhanath stupa. And for those still dating—it just might be the most romantic spot in the city. Book in advance if you really want to be here!

The service at La Casita is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or drink while watching the sunset. Items we had, - Tri-color Veg Momo 715NPR - Chicken Tacos 995NPR - Seafood Paella 2295NPR - Crepes w/ Banana Chocolate 645NPR - Peach Iced Tea 300NPR - Margarita 895NPR Before visiting, we did a little bit of research about this place, which helped us order the paella rice and the tri-colour momo. The momos were fully veg-based. So if you are veg, then this is a must! The chicken tacos were as authentic as they could get, it was delicious! The seafood paella was the star of the show! Mixed well with the veggies and seafood such as calamari, prawn, baby octopus etc, this was super! Make sure to order it 45 minutes prior as they take some time to prepare it. The dessert was good. The peach iced tea was fab! The margarita was very good among the places I have tried in Nepal! Little on the expensive side but has a very good view so you can check out this place!
