Yelp
we went here on a sunday afternoon and had a fabulous meal, equal to anything you'd get in a larger city. the food was incredibly fresh and artfully presented.
as someone who loves local hot sauces, i was excited to see both fresh ají served with the bread when we sat down along with small bottles of a hot sauce i hadn't seen anywhere else on the table alongside the usual condiments. it's a nice touch that sets this place apart from others.
the pastel de jaiba was amazing but probably too rich for one person to eat alone. i'd recommend ordering two to three things and sharing them all, which is what we did. the casona merluza was also very good and the salad with raw cubes of salmon and quinoa was surprisingly refreshing.
this place was packed for lunch and i suspect it would be at dinner time as well.
they have an extensive list of alcoholic drinks including many pisco varieties which travelers to the area will enjoy sampling (note: they are not cheap but if you know anything about the ongoing international "spat" between chile and peru for
whose pisco is better, you'll appreciate the many options offered here.)
the final tab worked out to about us$26 per person
for a salad, two entrees and three natural juices. if you're looking to have one nice meal in san pedro, this would be a lovely option with national cuisine in the starring role.
