La Cevichería

Despite its high recommendations from our tour guide and online travel bloggers, this place turned out to be pretty average. The ambience was decent, and the service was fine. However, the food was disappointing. We ordered the spicy shrimp ceviche and the fish catch of the day. While the shrimp ceviche was passable, the fish was bland and overcooked. The dish lacked balance, and even the accompanying rice was flavorless. Overall, it was not worth the price.

Lives up to the hype. Amazing ceviche and very cute inside. I had the the local fish option. The fish sandwich was great too. Perfectly breaded. We went for a late lunch and got a table right away.

Decent food, wonderful service, but bad atmosphere. The outside seating will get you harassed by vendors every 5-10 minutes… it was never ending. Would recommend sitting inside instead. Would not recommend the vietnamese rice - it was not bad but not amazing. Fish sandwich was good and gambas al ajillo were also good but not amazing.

Disappointing! Other reviews discribe it very well..The quality is definitely there anymore. Taste is plain. Just a lot of lemon, overwhelming. Too bitter and sour. I’ve tried 3 dishes and they were all disappointing. Coconut ceviche was overall plain..Overpriced and service is not too attentive either. Spend your money somewhere else..!

Our server, Karen, was amazing and very sweet. The food was great, very delicious. Would definitely recommend and come again.

The decor in this restaurant was cute but the food was really not that good. Like many other reviews, the ceviche was bland and the shrimp almost had no flavours. Seafood paella was a huge miss. The rice was extremely undercooked and the flavours were off. The seafood didn’t feel fresh either.

Outdoor seating is a double edge sword here because you get some nice views while eating but it’s true that peddlers will badger you to death here. Food is good but I’ve had comparable ceviche in a lot of other restaurants in Cartagena so I’m not sure why I’d prioritize this place. Overall decent experience if you want to check it out.
