La Chartreuse du Bignac

We stayed for two nights in a superior room - that was perfectly positioned with shady outside space. |We enjoyed our first night with dinner at the hotel restaurant- which was superb and served to us by attentive and characteristic staff. |We made good use of the pool out stay coincided with very high temperatures. |Our room was delightfully decorated - with gorgeous toiletries, comfy slippers and good quality towels. The bed too was very comfortable and the air conditioning a godsend.

A beautifully tranquil setting for a wonderful hotel and restaurant. The service from all the staff we met was friendly and impeccable. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have dinner on the terrace, with a superb view over the countryside. The food was exceptional, very well presented and very tasty. This is definitely one of the best places I’ve ever visited, and made my birthday outing very special.

Visited here for my husband’s birthday, with the dinner B&B deal.|We chose a superior room. It had a corridor with wardrobes and a door to a really spacious bathroom, offering both a bath and a walk-in shower. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, as well as all the necessary toiletries. It was very modern, with good water pressure.|The bedroom was also off the corridor, with a king-size bed, chairs, desk and lots of lighting. A kettle, coffee machine and water were provided, along with a variety of teas and coffee.|We received a very warm welcome from the owner, who told us the history of the building, before being shown to our room. |The building itself is fascinating, with many different rooms being available to guests. As the weather was lovely, we opted to explore the extensive and extremely well kept gardens, ending with a drink on the restaurant terrace.|Our dinner was a gastronomical delight and we loved the little extras that were brought to us. Excellent food, with attentive service which was not too overwhelming.|Breakfast included a wide range of food, including a cooked option.|The overall ambiance was of quiet, total relaxation, enhanced by the beautiful setting in nature.|Would highly recommend and thank you to all the lovely staff who made our stay so memorable.

My wife and I were attending a wedding in the area. This was one of the recommended places to stay. Glad we chose to stay here. The grounds are beautiful with amazing views of the surrounding area, room was perfect, staff was super friendly and accommodating, restaurant was excellent. Would 10/10 recommend. Gorgeous.

Amazing place for a getaway from everything surrounded by pittoresque green hills and a lovely garden. Very romantic place lead individually by a very nice and caring owner. Many thanks for hosting us

Lovely location and lovely building. We had good weather so we ate out on the terrace. Service was excellent from the moment we arrived to leaving. The food was excellent and we will be returning.

My husband and I stayed at La Chartreuse du Bignac for one night in late September. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. The hotel is charming, the rooms are well appointed - although our room was a bit quirky as the sink and shower were a few steps down from the bedroom area. Good size room, comfortable bed, and very quiet. We had breakfast and dinner at their restaurant - which we highly recommend. One of the better meals on our trip. Grounds are lovely and if it was warmer we would have taken advantage of the pool.
