I’ve not stepped into this part of Chinatown in more than 20 years and was happy to rediscover Teochew City aka Chine Massena. We had a set dinner which was good value and of a good quality, added rice noodles and dessert and we had a really nice time catching up with longtime friends. There you could speak Cantonese or Teochew with the staff members and service was friendly. On Friday and Saturday nights there’s life music and a dance floor - so get a table a bit further away if you do not want to go deaf. Will return to try their lobster noodles and bifengtang crab.

I come once a month for its authentic dimsum cart experience. Just taste their Har Gow and you will know immediately their dimsums are not premade from elsewhere.

Pork shu mai and chicken feet tasted really gamey which is not normal for that type of meat. Did not taste good. We went at 11:30am and was told that we couldn't order food from the menu yet. Service was really poor - lady was rude and didn't come to us when we signalled for help even though the place was pretty empty. Would not recommend.

Overall food was passable, certain dimsum dishes were quite good but service was disappointing, the waiters were rushing through and had little time to listen to our orders. However, price was reasonable.

Went there for lunch It was already fully packed with people Waiters running here and there. Couldn't believe how busy they were.... Their food was delicious Service could be improved Forgot to take the picture of the noodle which was very traditional made from ChaoZhou 👍

I’m sorry to write this because the staff seem so kind, but this is potentially the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Everything is old, low quality, way over salted. Truly terrifying food.

I went here with my friend when the restaurant opened up and we asked for a table for two. The lady at the desk said something in french we didn't understand and when we tried to use Google translate to help with what she was trying to say she kicked us out with out even trying to explain anything to us. Very disrespectful service and very disappointing way to treat people who were nothing but respectful.

If I could give 0 star, I would. Worst of the worst! After reading all the 1-star reviews, I fully understand all these peoples’ frustration. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the appalling treatment we received at your restaurant. One of your staff, a Chinese lady, was shockingly rude, publicly chasing us out in front of other patrons. All we did was enter through the restaurant while trying to find an exit because the mall was shut and the usual way out was blocked. Her behavior was absolutely disgraceful—there was no need to treat us with such disrespect. Why couldn’t she simply explain the situation politely instead of resorting to such hostile actions? Because of her disgusting attitude, I will never patronize your establishment again and will make sure others know about this unacceptable experience. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Yelp
Terrible place for dim sum. The sticky rice was overly salty, the meats were stringy, and the plate of fried noodles that we ordered was both tasteless and dry. Half of our food came at the same time, but then we ended up waiting 30 min for the rest of our food. It seemed like the waiters just forgot about us and we had to flag several down to find out what happened to the dim sum. Also a bug crawled out of one of the menus, which makes me shudder to think about the state of their kitchens.

Yelp
The dim sums were very good, and meets the reputation they have. Plates are huge, prices very good. The waiter was incredibly indifferent, but as long as the food's good, that's alright.
