La Clairière

Very difficult to find good vegan places in France compared to other European counties so this was a gem. Delicious penne and dessert was good, completely vegan. Service was a bit slow but it was busy.

Great food, service, and ambience. Menu changes weekly (which is great). Lovely dogs in the premises which give the place a great homey feel. Perhaps an a/c would be good indoors. The city is too hot and humid.

I loved the place! Food is absolutely delicious, especially the desserts! If you are guilty as charged when it comes sweets, this is the place for you! Staff was very nice and extremely polite. The ambiance was cosy and friendly. Of course, the beautiful dogs chilling around made it even better! Big, fat 5 stars from me. I will definitely come back. Keep up the good work! 🌱

I love love lovvvvvveeee they adopted street dogs that now are in the restaurant. And one pup is for adoption! The dogs don’t bother you whilst you’re eating. The gazpacho is super tasty. Slightly sweet, a bit of heat and very filling. My friends and I also had the sampler which we didn’t realise included the gazpacho too. Whilst the “hummus” amount was substantial, it wasn’t as tasteful as the “falafel” fritters. With a vegan aioli it was delicious!!

Great vegan food, went for brunch - massive servings and delicious!

We were four people to dine there, and it was an amazing experience. We had a sweet potato soup for starter, and it could have been slighly more seasoned, but still very tasty. For main we had a typical French dish and a burger. The burger is one of the best burgers I've had in a very, very long time, and the parmentier was tasty as well, having a nice touch of thyme. The chocolate mousse for dessert was delicious and airy. They had extremely high-level local beer there, which I have been missing at vegan and vegetarian restaurants (not to talk about many restaurants like that not having alcohol at all). It was probably the best beer I've ever had at a vegan place. Marvellous! They did not have decaf, but they had something that was not coffee, that was without caffeine and tasted surprisingly similar, but I don't remember the name. The staff is incredibly friendly, smiling and welcoming. The place was packed, so they were very busy, but they still had time to take care of us and answer our questions. Last but not least, they have three dogs walking around inside, and they're just the cutest! This place is a must if you're in Lille!!

Great vegan food, many GF options

I tried to book at the restaurant but they refused the booking. I do not speak much French and believed they took my card details for the reservation and nothing more. However, they use a third party called Reserv Go who then have tried to take 49 Euros out of my account four times. This is extremely unethical and no doubt they are paying the restaurant a percentage to do this. It makes no sense that the restaurant cannot do them themselves. The third party have been unresponsive and I have struggled to cancel any subscription to them, which I was completely unaware I was singing up with when trying to just book a reservation.
