Jura Has Some of France’s Best Wines, Scenery, and Cheeses - AFAR

La Closerie des Capucines (Arbois, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Arbois, in the French Jura, is home to a 17th-century mansion whose beautifully preserved structure is now home to a lovely little five-room chambre d’hôtes. La Closerie Les Capucines aims to retain as much of its private-home atmosphere as possible, and you’d have to say they’ve succeeded. The rooms are antique in their inspiration but possess the stylistic unity you expect of a contemporary boutique hotel; each one is decorated in a subtle tribute to a different element of the town’s natural surroundings. Its owners are well-connected in the wine world, and the hotel makes the most of these associations." - Tablet Hotels

This is a beautiful property with lots of open common space. We stayed in the apartment with 2 rooms and it was spacious and super comfortable. We enjoyed sitting by the pool and looking at the views of the river and town. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely and they provided quite a spread. The indoor dining area was bright and inviting and the whole place feels very light from skylights while maintaining a warm home feel. We loved our stay and Elise was a most gracious host. It’s a place that defines the experience of visiting Arbois and the Jura region.

This is such a special place to stay. We traveled with two other couples during a snowy few days in the gorgeous village of Arbois. The house itself is so lovely, unique, welcoming, and cozy. Having a stocked kitchen was such an asset and the common areas really made this house feel like our home during our stay. The breakfast is exquisite! Elise and Zélie are incredible and will make you feel like family. There were so many personal touches throughout our stay that really made a difference. Thank you for treating us like royalty! We cannot wait to return.

It has been a few months now since our stay at La Closerie des Capucines. However we still think about it so often because our stay was so lovely! First and foremost, Elise and Zélie were the most brilliant hosts. They were so kind and welcoming and nothing was too small (or big!) a task for them. Their advice and hospitality really elevated our stay and helped make our visit to Arbois and the Jura region so memorable. The accommodation was so nice - our room and all of the common spaces were beautifully decorated. We can't wait to visit again.

We had the pleasure of a two-night stay at La Closerie, and it was absolutely memorable and fantastic. We have nothing but praise! We stayed in “Ploussard,” a beautiful, spacious, and luxurious apartment with a large bathroom, living room, and two generous bedrooms. Quality throughout – incredibly well thought out and tastefully done. If we were to suggest one small detail, it would be to install a Nespresso machine or an electric kettle in the room. That said, the hotel’s large, luxurious shared lounge offers complimentary espresso, latte, tea, and more – available around the clock. There was a complimentary minibar in the room stocked with local beverages. We were welcomed in an almost familiarly warm yet highly professional manner, and our host made it difficult not to feel that everything was simply perfect. Breakfast was absolutely delicious – generous, beautifully presented, and filled with lovely local touches. If you’re staying more than one night, you’ll notice thoughtful variations that make each morning feel special. Again, everything was served with genuine care and attention – true hospitality with heart. Beautiful and well-maintained surroundings and a lovely little pool in an idyllic oasis! We will definitely be back!

We were upgraded to the amazing Manhattan Suite - a wonderful light space with super comfortable bed and sofa. Lovely touches like candles, chocolates, locally made drinks in the mini bar discretely hidden in the walk in closet - and the bathroom ... Pity we had to come home o normality but it was a wonderful weekend escape . The other rooms are also individually furnished and lovely. Breakfast was worth leaving our lovely suite for , fresh local produce served with such grace. The quiet, fragrant gardens, pool and sauna all provide a time for relaxing and detente. My only comment - a small coffee machine in the room would have been the icing on the cake!

One of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room was elegant and comfortable, as was the bed. Bathroom was high end with terrific walk in shower. Breakfasts were the highlight of the day. We can’t express high enough appreciation of the kindness and consideration shown to us by Zelie. She took care of all of out restaurant reservations and helped us with access in and out of the property. THANK YOU!

We had the BEST time at this hotel. Zelie and Elsa went above and beyond to make our experience absolutely heavenly. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. The garden is a little slice of heaven. You can't beat the location. We are already dreaming of returning.

Loved our stay here. The details in the accommodation were perfect, the grounds were delightful and the breakfast sublime, but most importantly the hospitality was unparalleled. The wonderfully expansive and generous hospitality Elise shared with us took an already great stay to the next level. Can't wait to return!
