Lovely place with a very friendly owner. Quality service with excellent food. Ask for recommendations for the seasonal dishes and you won't be disappointed. As well as with the ox tail or eggs with truffles.

Food is excellent and good wine list. Loved the variety of mushrooms and the venison with 4 sauces was crumpious. Gave it only for stars because of the service. Waitresses were very curt and not very pleasant. Will repeat because Maria Luisa's is a top notch professional and the meal was exceptional.

Great restaurant with good and attentive service. The fact you can get half of each plate gives you the opportunity to taste different flavors. Maria Luisa the owner is top notch, loved her personality and proximity. The meal was really good.

This restaurant is extraordinary. This is the place that American tourists dream of: the clientele is local, the food is absolutely delicious, the outdoor seating is comfortable (it’s COVID time, after all), and the owner is a delight. If I come back to Madrid 100 times, I will return here every one of them.

Horrible staff !!! They were extremely patronising and since they knew that our table didn't speak Spanish they mischarged us (overcharge) and wer rude to our table. The server kept pressuring us to order and she was rude when we asked her which dishes were good to get. The food was deplorable and this place should be closed or get different management. The server also lied to me telling me that this place only sells wine by the bottle. Another server told another guest at the table that you could get wine by the glass. I hope that people realise how awful this place is. Another person in the party ordered something and they gave her the wrong item. The food here was absolutely AWFUL and completely overpriced ! Avoid this place at all costs. It may have been the oldest restaurant but the food is awful and the staff is rude !!!

Back to basics Spanish cousin. Food is delicious on a family owned business format. The chef (Maria Luisa) engages constantly with clients.

The wild boar was excellent and the almond tart was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and nice. I definitely recommend it.

We visited the restaurant by recommendation of the concierge at the hotel. This place rocks! Not only it will give you the whole Spanish dinning experience, but it will also provide a family atmosphere along outstanding service!. The food, the wine, dessert, price...simply SUPERB! We got to meet Maria Luisa, what a lovely lady! She is the perfect example of what every restaurant owner should be. We stayed there for hours and wouldn't want to leave. Cant wait to go back to Madrid. Will certainly go back. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing restaurant. Maria in addition to her delicious cooked food is very welcoming and charming lady...was on business dinner and I do not know about prices, but the food was ooooh, lovely!
