If You Are Traveling to Venice, Here Are the 8 Wineries You Have to Visit

"Set in a restored sixteenth-century agricultural village in Valpantena north of Verona, this 138-acre estate (77 acres organic) began as a wine retreat before its vineyards matured. Guests stay in simply elegant rooms and can explore woods, vineyards and orchards on foot, by horseback or bicycle along routes that reveal local history and scenery; active visitors can try a new Pump Track for dirt-jump and mountain bikes, while those seeking relaxation can join pilates, guided yoga and meditation sessions. Cultural programming centers on a scenic “theatre in the vineyard,” and a glamping option places guests in luxurious tents amid profound nighttime silence. Tastings range from barrel, ceramic-jar and amphora samples of Amarone as it ages to masterclasses and vertical tastings of multiple vintages, and the on-site Ca' del Moro restaurant—led by chef Giuseppe Lamanna—draws on estate-grown herbs and vegetables and local producers to produce Mediterranean-inflected cuisine." - Federico De Cesare Viola

Booked with ease from the website a wine tasting experience with a visit to the winery. A big praise to Camilla who immediately called me to confirm and give me special directions to reach the place despite a road closure. After the call a mail with more clear instructions followed, which was much appreciated. The place is clean, well kept, everyone was polite and welcoming. The weather helped us enjoy the sun and a cool breeze while walking the wine yard. The winery was also well kept and we received insights on technology and methodologies used. Jacopo led us throughout the whole visit and was super prepared, competent and kind, explaining everything with politeness and knowledge. A big praise to him as well because he took all the time needed to talk and chat with us and give us extra pointers. The wine we tasted was excellent quality, a good variation and the accompanying food/aperitivo was also delicious. I would definitely recommend the whole experience, with a special praise to the staff.

We stopped here for a tour of the wine yard and couldn't have had a better experience. Our guide Sabrina was very knowledgeable and could confidently answer all questions we had. She was also very hospitable and friendly. The wines themselves are next level, especially the Amarone they served. Highly recommended!

We had a wine tasting here and it was amazing. Paulina gave us a private tour in English to show us around the vineyards, she was very informative and gave lots of history information. For the wine tasting, Pamela showed us many delicious wines, she was very accommodating and friendly! Highly recommend

This is a combination of a beautiful area "paved" with vineyards, cutting edge equipment in the winery, and the spirit of the founder and owner Massimo Gianolli. The visit was very pleasant, clear explanations by Paulina, very good wines from the simple one up to the AMARONE.The day after we also had a wonderful lunch in the boutique hotel which is a part of the complex - Ca' Del Moro. Both the wine tasting and the meal are highly recommended!
