La Controra Hostel Naples

It was such a lovely stay!! The staff was actually so nice and helpful. This hostel has a beautiful garden where you can lie in the grass at night and look into the clear sky. Also breakfast was included in the price and it was only 32€ a night. The only thing i didn’t enjoy was that our room didn’t have an AC. The rooms were clean and got cleaned properly every day by staff. It’s also a very social hostel, where you can meet great people like we did! It has a kitchen which is really important for me personally in a hostel and it had free luggage rooms if you wanted to store your stuff after check-out. Normally luggage rooms always cost you like 6€ and here it was free. So i really recommend this hostel! We had such a great time in Naples! Hopefully we’ll be back soon!

The hostel staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in a private room which was clean and spacious. There's also a gorgeous surprise garden between the buildings and the breakfast was delicious. This is a very good option unless you struggle a bit walking hills. But you can get the metro and then walk down, which is what they recommend in the directions. I'd go back in a heart beat.

Very friendly staff and great hostel! Especially dig the great breakfast as well as dinner and drink for 5 euro. Appreciate you guys!

This hostel was a great experience! It's got a great location to explore Napoli itself or the popular destinations of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius as it is 2 minutes away by foot from a metro station which takes you to the central station. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it is easy to meet people or have a nice quiet time. All the staff were super helpful and had a great understanding of English. Definitely recommend but remember to bring your own towel!

This is a hostel that tries to do that little bit extra that makes your stay wonderful. |The location is fine, close to a metro station. Entrance not directly on the pavement. Nice little courtyard/garden. |The rooms could have been designed more cramped and full but they die not do that, it is all spacious. |The happy hour, breakfast, all languages the staff speak.. all very much appreciated! The tips that they gave me: what to do, what first, what is feasible in a day.. all turned out to be spot on. Very much enjoyed this stay.

This was my first visit to Napoli and my first experience upon touchdown was La Controra Hostel. ||The Hostel is very easy to find if you are travelling from Capodichino Airport thanks to the very clear and precise directions provided with your booking and La Controra's centrality allows for the majority of Napoli's sights and attractions to be reached within walking distance.|The warm, friendly welcome upon check in was a pleasant surprise and they couldn't have been more helpful. Both happy to help and knowledgeable of the city, La Controra's staff furnish you with Maps/Guides, recommendations for bars and restaurants and historical walking tours. ||The accommodation itself is supremely clean, with comfortable beds/linen, a number of spacious well maintained bathrooms and a picturesque open plan garden with a bar and terrace.|Speaking of the bar, I very quickly made friends with both the amazing bar staff and my fellow guests, offering very reasonably priced drinks, food and an atmosphere which encouraged staff and guests alike to talk and get to know one another, La Controra's bar is a wonderful place to relax and socialise after a day's exploring. ||I have to also mention that I had never felt so secure in a hostel prior to my stay. All rooms have key card access and a locker/padlock is provided, I had full confidence my belongings were safe during the day.|In addition, La Controra offers laundry services, luggage storage and a free breakfast which would put a lot of Hotels to shame. ||I have to give all of the amazing staff of La Controra Hostel a big Thank You, you guys went above and beyond, La Controra wasn't just "a place to put my head down" but a part of my wonderful Napoli experience.||Paul

A first experience in a hostel. I loved it more than I imagined. The location is close to the metro 5 minutes walking, there's a mini Market on the same road that was opened in the night and was absolutely convenient for snacks. The hostel had an amazing vibe, the garden was the place that I had the chance to meet the most interesting people I've met in my life. The room I stayed in had a balcony with the view of the main road and it was beautiful. Cleaning ladies would visit the room and clean it every day. It was a magical experience in there.

We were a Norwegian school group (aged 14/15 years) and we really appreciated that the hostel were willing to host us for four nights. The rooms and facilities were beyond expectation; clean and well-maintained. Some of our students commented on how lovely it was that each of the dormitory rooms had its own character. |The centre courtyard was lovely for early evening meetings and morning gatherings. The breakfast was healthy and fresh with enough to feed everyone.|The staff went above and beyond to help us; detailed information about the city, help with maps, help with luggage, help with ordering pizza! and so much more. We were all so very grateful that we had this little haven in the middle of a wonderfully chaotic city. Thank you so much.
