Truly an incredible experience staying here at La Controra Hostel. For the price you get a clean room, breakfast, kitchen, free bag storage & 24 hour reception (who are very kind & helpful). It’s a great hostel to meet people ! The eating area is social. I kept extending my stay because I fell in love with Naples and this hostel played a role in that! They also have laundry for €7 The location is good.. about a 20 min walk into town, there’s a few grocery stores, bakery’s and restaurants around. Train station in about 5 min walk. I had other friends book different hostels in the area but we all agreed this one is the best !!!! Great for solo travelers.

Very friendly welcome and lots of communication beforehand to help us find the hostel. We stayed in their apartment. It was clean (a few ants on the floor in the tv area but they didn’t bother us) and spacious. Good value for a family of 5.

Had a great experience at this hostel! It struck a good balance between clean, comfortable rooms and well-maintained washrooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, offering great tips that made my stay even better. Met some amazing people and really enjoyed the garden, it was a peaceful spot to relax. The included breakfast was a nice touch. Great location, perfect for cycling around the city, and there’s a very interesting church right next door

Our stay in La Controra was lovely. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom and were pleased with our choice, except from some school kids making noise after quiet hours which we could hear quite well because the door wasn't flush with the floor. However, this didn't detract from our experience. We very much enjoyed eating the lovely breakfast that was provided every morning, especially because we got to eat it in the beautiful courtyard in the early morning sunshine. The highlight of our stay, though, was the staff - always friendly and welcoming and ready to give great advice about where to start your trip or where to get good vegan pasta in Naples. Everyone we spoke to was kind and patient and advised us with a smile on their face, which, of course, isn't essential, but it makes for a very comfortable atmosphere. If I'm back in Naples, I'd gladly stay at La Controra again.

Great deal, and comfortable place to stay. The hostel has a garden, which is a plus to chill or get your included breakfast. During heat waves in Napoli, the AC was continuously working unlike some other hostels! Breakfast could be improved by getting fresh salad fruit (no oxidated ones), or entire fruits. Also regular bread will slightly increase its quality instead white soft bread. Otherwise it's a satisfying included breakfast. Loulou made me have a smooth check in and allow me to use the premise even I reached early morning. Thank you.

I had a very good stay, the place feels nice with the terrasse and the café. Everyone working there was nice and helpful. Close to the metro, which is a plus. It's uphill si beware if you come back late at night, you're in for some hiking.

It was such a lovely stay!! The staff was actually so nice and helpful. This hostel has a beautiful garden where you can lie in the grass at night and look into the clear sky. Also breakfast was included in the price and it was only 32€ a night. The only thing i didn’t enjoy was that our room didn’t have an AC. The rooms were clean and got cleaned properly every day by staff. It’s also a very social hostel, where you can meet great people like we did! It has a kitchen which is really important for me personally in a hostel and it had free luggage rooms if you wanted to store your stuff after check-out. Normally luggage rooms always cost you like 6€ and here it was free. So i really recommend this hostel! We had such a great time in Naples! Hopefully we’ll be back soon!

Yelp
My friends and I stayed here while we were studying abroad in Roma. We wanted to make a trip down to Pompeii and stay in Napoli and by chance we found this place (and thank god we did). The location is perfectly located next to a train stop for easy access from the terminal. When going out to explore the city though, all you have to do is take an easy downhill trek for 5-10 minutes and you are in the heart of the city. The hostel is also surrounded by delicious pizzerias (it is Napoli after all). On the hostel side, the rooms were extremely clean (we rented out four beds of an eight person room and made friends with our new roomies). The building is updated yet still with an old Italian charm. The community vibe is the best of any hotel i've been to. You come home from a day of exploring to live music, poetry readings, snacks and drinks laid out, travelers playing soccer in the courtyard, and the friendliest staff. The wifi is great and the morning breakfast is a great touch. All in all, we were sad to only have two nights here. For the price, this place is a steal. Miss you guys!

Yelp
This hostel is really great! I stayed here for several days with a group of students from my college while we were studying abroad in Italy and I don't think we could have picked a better place. Some parts of the main building look a little run down just because they're old, but the rooms are updated. Everything is very clean, the staff is friendly, the bar is nice (and cheap), and there's a great community atmosphere. There's an outdoor courtyard that's really nice if you're visiting when the weather is good. The location is pretty good, there are some restaurants, bars, and other stores nearby and the downtown area, with museums, restaurants, stores, and other attractions is just a short walk away!
