Our stay at Lacoste Motel was absolutely fabulous! The place is 100% faithful to its theme and exceeded all our expectations. Diane gave us a great deal and arranged a spacious, beautifully set-up room at short notice, which was truly appreciated. Rose, who was there during our stay, was a wonderful host – warm, welcoming, and attentive. The whole experience was smooth, comfortable, and memorable. We will definitely be visiting again with our family in the future. Highly recommended – 100% worth it!

Lovely little motel providing just what we wanted. Clean and beautifully presented with a kitchen and complimentary breakfast goodies plus coffee machine fully prepared for action! Parking is in the street just outside. Easy access and the Kirra Beach surf club just up the street for a nice meal and drink looking out over the ocean. Fully recommended! We would return should the opportunity arise. Reasonably priced too.

Beautiful place to stay and wind down the night before flying home. Thank you so much for the cute little breakfast box & beautiful room. We wished we could have stayed longer!

This place is a real delight, incredibly clean and tidy. Has everything you need for a short stay, the hosts are very friendly and accommodate to you. They provide the cutest breakfast basket with extra treats. Highly recommended 🙂

Ideal location if flying in or out. Can walk from airport to motel. Rooms are all you need. Bed, TV, fridge, tea coffee facilities and nice welcome pack of snacks and breakfast. Short walk to beach and can then walk along path to surf clubs and cafes.

Had an extremely poor experience staying at La Costa Motel. I had pre-booked a room for a quiet weekend getaway before moving out of Queensland, hoping to enjoy the beach one last time. Unfortunately, the experience was far from relaxing. At around 11pm, I was abruptly woken by music and other commotions as guests in the adjoining room arrived late. There is absolutely no soundproofing between the units — sound travels directly through the old floorboards and the locked connecting door, making it impossible to ignore. When I raised the issue, the host mentioned that they had accepted a last minute booking— on what happened to be a long weekend filled with music festivals and events. Very disappointing, especially considering the price and the motel’s promotion of a peaceful beachside stay. Ended up driving back home to Brisbane at midnight. Would not recommend for anyone seeking a quiet or restful experience. In response to owner.. ** Several other reviews also mention the lack of sound insulation. While the music and other noises weren’t excessively loud, the poor insulation made it feel as though their late night antics were happening inside our room. This made us feel very awkward and uncomfortable. We didn’t feel it was reasonable to wait for a resolution, especially with a long drive ahead of us, so we decided to leave. Reception doesn’t appear to be regularly attended — no one was present when we arrived, nor throughout the afternoon which, according to other reviews and website itself, seems to be a recurring theme. May have been different in the past however the current setup gives the impression of a hands off investment property with self service check in/ check out. Guests are entitled to leave reviews, even when also requesting a reimbursement — completely normal. The dismissive tone and lack of accountability in the owner’s response to each poor review says a lot.

We booked at short notice for one night at La Costa Motel before TC Alfred set in, and were so pleased we did! The motel management is very welcoming, and the renovation of this 1950s beauty is in keeping with the period whilst being comfortable and clean. The new kitchen is well equipped for a short stay, and we loved the generous breakfast basket (and provided beach towels) which were included in the tariff. I am a light sleeper and we were on the road side but with the windows closed and the air conditioner on I was able to have a reasonable sleep. La Costa is also a short walk to beautiful Bilinga beach for a surf, and to North Kirra SLSC for a great pub meal with a magnificent view.

Yelp
Booked at the last minute due to a cancelled flight, with no alternatives available until the next morning. It's within walking distance of the airport, even with heavy bags. The staff were VERY friendly, more than happy to put in the extra effort for you. Not much if any soundproofing between rooms though, so hope your neighbors have the same sleep schedule planned that you do. A massive and very pleasing experience especially after dealing with a flight cancellation.
