La Cucina + Bar

Probably my 24th visit because restaurant standards are much higher than in my beloved Palm Cove so La Cucina never ever disappointed. Super friendly service especially Francesca. Lunch was stunning. Just a cut above. Highly recommended.

Five plus for service which was excellent. Staff was very well informed and attentive. Food was very good with a decent selection of pasta and seafood options. Linguine served with the “green bugs” and other seafoods plate was amazing with the lemon/parsley/olive oil dressing. Red sauce ragu also very excellent. Pizza available in the bar area but not the dining room. Great wine selection with many higher quality wines. Would highly recommend this establishment for a fantastic meal with fantastic service for any meal.

La Cucina & Bar has fast become our favourite place to dine when in Port Douglas. The restaurant has a great vibe and atmosphere and an authentic Italian team. The food is the trophy winner here using fresh ingredients with exciting new specialties, it has never disappointed once! A must if your deciding where to eat in Port Douglas ❤️👌🍹🍕 🍝

Had an incredibly delicious meal at Sassi’s - from the starter - king fish carpaccio, polpo, Nero & gamberi, frutti di mare, and amazing dessert. Service was on point from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Highly recommend if you are after authentic Italian food.

Delicious food and Cocktails. Our experience here was nothing short of exquisite from the steak, pasta and scallops. Bread to start was homemade, ceviche melts in your mouth.

My partner and i are here from the Gold Coast. We had Starter - CAPRESE BURRATA Mains- FILETTO DI MANZO and the SPAGHETTI NERO & GAMBERI Desert - TIRAMISU the food was absolutely incredible. One of the best pastas we’ve ever had . The cocktails and wine were delicious and the staff were beyond delightful and helpful . We’ve found our new favourite restaurant , it’s just too bad it’s 2000km away. Can’t wait to come back . … it’s that good I even wrote a google review ;)

Delicious food with good service. They had a good choice of food including pizzas and a great drinks selection. The restaurant is admittedly expensive but on par with every other restaurant in Port Douglas. Would recommend visiting La Cucina if you're in the area.

Fantastic food, friendly attentive staff and right at the end Macrossan St across from the Courthouse Hotel. Salmon carpaccio and scallops can’t be missed! The place to go for a good Italian feed in PD.
