La Cuisine Robicheau was incredible. All of the food was delicious! The chowder was packed full of seafood. We nervously tried Escargot for the first time ever and we loved it! Also no matter how full you are, you need to order on of the cheesecakes for dessert. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly.

Update August 2024 -- After enjoying the quilt show across the street we headed to La Cuisine Robicheau for a late lunch. We just missed the height of the lunch time crowd, so we did not have a long wait. We both opted for the lobster roll and chowder. Both were amazing! The chowder was brimming with fresh seafood, including lobster. The lobster roll was to perfection. The bun was toasted perfectly. There was plenty of sweet lobster meat, and very little filler. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for another fantastic meal! Another lovely meal at La Cuisine Robicheau. The seafood lasagna and Caesar salad are not to be missed. The lasagna is packed with fresh seafood and the greens in the salad are super fresh. If you have room for dessert, the pies are outstanding. The day I dined at Robicheau's it was foggy and humid. The fog was a pleasant way to beat the heat wave, so I opted for outdoor dining. The server was nice enough, but I didn't appreciate her yelling at me from across to ask if everything was okay. I was surprised when she didn't come to the table to ask. Highly recommend La Cuisine Robicheau for the food.

Google
Absolutely fantastic meal. Our group had the poutine, the lobster roll(s), seafood chowder, and the seafood lasagna. Seriously, fantastic - go here!

If you are looking for good seafood… this is most definitely the spot. Every dish that was brought out was amazing. The fisherman of the seafood are all relatives of the family so it’s great to know it’s top quality stuff! The service was wonderful and the view of the water is spectacular. I left with a happy heart and a FULL belly! Can’t wait to try their food truck once it opens for the season!

Google
Wonderful food, great service. I need to add that this restaurant went out of their way. I have a shellfish allergy and they went out of their way to make me my own seafood chowder without lobster in it. The staff at the ticket window was absolutely phenomenal. She went above and beyond on what was expected.

Google
Wonderful place! We demolished our spicy mussels in moments...... That's why there's a pic of just one left. :-) The lobster roll & chowder was great as well. They have lots of cool local art & crafts for sale as well. There are Airbnb shopping container cabins right behind it which would be cool to stay at tho I got the impression that they aren't owned by the restaurant.

Google
Such delicious food...I enjoyed the wonderful seafood chowder, homemade bread roll and a huge piece of coconut cream pie 🥧. My husband had fish cakes, a salad and homemade green tomato chow. Everything was melt in your mouth excellent. I only wish I lived closer...a visit would be a weekly event but it is a long drive for me. I will always go there when I visit the Bay of Fundy side of Nova Scotia.

Google
La cuisine Robicheau is a wonderful dining experience where local culture blends with fantastic food. Amongst my favorites are the seafood chowder, haddock and a lobster cream sauce and to top things off the seafood lasagna which comes with the best Ceasar salad sauce I've ever tasted. You won't go home hungry! Delicious.

Yelp
Came back for dinner last week with the NS family and had a wonderful meal. We were seated inside, as it was a bit chilly, but walked outside after dinner to take pictures on the back deck with the most wonderful views!! I was with a large group, we brought wine with us and wine glasses were brought to the table immediately, along with ice water and warm rolls. I ordered the haddock, those around me went with scallops, mussels and seafood chowder and everything was fresh and delicious. My only suggestion is with the vegetable side, which appears to always be peas and carrots...I guess I would check in with the customer on that when ordering. I had no idea that peas and carrots were automatic, I don't eat cooked carrots, and they could have been saved for another customer. Dessert was a BIG hit with the group. Three ordered GIGANTIC slices of coconut cream pie and one, a most perfect slice of strawberry rhubarb with cold house made vanilla ice cream slowly melting on the top. Overall, a lovely night. A comfortable restaurant, where you can dress up if you wish, or not, with extremely fresh seafood prepared excellently.

Yelp
Halfway up the Evangeline trail, between Yarmouth and Annapolis Royal, in the heart of Acadian country, we came across this gem. The curb appeal pulled us in, and the ambiance kept us. Picture a kitchen table overlooking the Atlantic Coast. Our server couldn't have been nicer: she even suggested I try a sample of rappie pie before ordering (hint: rappie pie is an acquired taste). Service was remarkably quick especially give the freshness and quality. Magnifique !

Yelp
My parents and I were visiting Nova Scotia for the first time and were told to get some authentic Acadian food, which we've never tried. We ordered a whole bunch of appetizers because we wanted to try everything and it was the perfect amount for the three of us. When ordering the Rabbie Pie, the waitress offered to have us taste a small portion for $2 since some people are bothered by the texture if they've never had it before. We're Japanese and we love gooey textures so we ordered it without trying and we thought it was great! It is more like a glob than a pie in terms of form. I loved both the flavor and the texture. If you want to try this, I recommend getting one and sharing; eating just the Rabbie Pie as my whole lunch probably would've been repetitive and overwhelming. If you're visiting and know absolutely nothing like we did, I highly recommend ordering a whole bunch and sharing. The waitress was friendly and the views on the outdoor patio are gorgeous. Also dog friendly on the patio!

Yelp
What is not to like from the Escargot to delicious large homemade dessert. This is by far the best place we have gone to in the maritimes. Great Acadian dishes

Yelp
We had the pleasure of dinning here yesterday celebrating our wedding anniversary! My wife at the lobster club with a Caesar salad, and I had the fracot to start and then had the haddock and scallop dinner. It was absolutely amazing the service was spot on and the food I just can't stop talking about. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone coming through the area or even any local looking for a nice dinner a real home-cooked food.

Yelp
Extremely fresh! I had the pan fried Haddock served with carrots and peas. Garden fresh. Real mashed potatoes. It was excellent and the view was fabulous.

Yelp
The BEST seafood we've eaten. The whole dining experience was down right great. The FOOD is the star here along with the friendly staff. Don't pass it by.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! We have been coming here over the past year and a half every time we the area because it is so consistently good (we've been visiting frequently as we were looking to move to the area). The seafood chowder is the best I've had, with large chunks of scallops and fish that are cooked perfectly. My boyfriend always gets the fish cakes - they are crispy and hearty. The bacon wrapped scallops are another fave. I often can't resist grabbing some chocolate or coconut pie, which are always served in ginormous slices. The atmosphere has a cozy home feel to it, with a great view of the bay.

Yelp
Best meal of my entire two weeks in the maritimes! We came at lunch and it wasn't too busy but otherwise it's wise to make a reservation. We heard staff talking about how they've had to turn people away! The restaurant is set up with a view overlooking the water. I love how it's got various rooms so you can different vantage points and views. Our meals: - Bacon wrapped scallops. Delicious and cooked perfectly. Can't go wrong with bacon wrapped anything. - Rappie pie. We have been curious to try this since we kept hearing about it. Our server warned us that 80% of people don't like it when they try it so they offer a $1.95 small taster. We tried it and both liked it. It has a very thick consistency, kind of a cross between a very thick tapioca or custard. It also reminded me a bit of congee. You have an option for clam or chicken. We had the clam taster but ordered the chicken as the clams tasted a bit too tough. - Haddock with hot creamed lobster. I was tempted by the lasagna but our server said it was yesterday's batch so wasn't freshly made, but still good. I decided on this dish since she said it was only of the more popular ones. So glad I did. The creamed lobster was delicious and paired so nicely with the Haddock. 5 stars all the way! - Coconut cream pie. Oh this pie. It was the best damn pie. If I'm ever on death row, I'm asking for this pie. It's a huge serving, but I implore you -- DO NOT SHARE IT. You can thank me later.

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant with an expansive view of the water, and the most perfectly cooked scallops ever. I had the bacon-wrapped scallops as an appetizer, followed by a chicken breast (yeah, I know - I don't eat a whole lot of fish - but it was an expertly cooked and completely delightful chicken breast). My husband had a plate of pan-seared scallops for his dinner, and he moaned softly with delight all the way through. We split a cheesecake, with crushed strawberries for dessert - it was also wonderful. Make a reservation, especially for a Thursday (apparently Thursday night is the hot night, and you need a rez months in advance). Also, BYOB. To be honest, this restaurant is worth traveling to the Western end of Nova Scotia for.

Yelp
Fabulous charming art-filled Acadian restaurant in this small town. Everything was scrumptious- the seafood lasagna , the scallops, the Caesar salad, and the mocha and raspberry cheesecakes. Excellent service provided by Genevieve

Yelp
Wow. The special appetizer of Scallops with a cheese and lobster sauce was a great way to start an incredible meal. I then had the special of the day which was baked haddock under a lobster sauce, with mashed potatos and peas and carrots. Also very good. My wife had the seafood lasagne and loved it. Coconut cream pue for dessert. This all with a bottle of wine that we picked up at Petite Riviera Winery. As the sun went down over the water, I could definitely say "it was a great day."

Yelp
Really great restaurant!! The food was delicious, the fish was fresh, and the portions were great! Ordered the shrimp plate and I must say I wanted more even though I was full. Definitely worth a second visit! The restaurant building itself is located right next to the ocean and transforms a home into a restaurant. Really cute and the atmosphere was appreciated.

Yelp
We came upon this restaurant while driving along highway 1 in the French/Acadian coast. There was a nice mix of locals and passers through. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was quite good. We particularly liked the fish chowder and the fish cakes. The fish/potato cakes reminded me of latkes and went well with the tangy chow-chow. A nice strawberry rhubarb pie rounded out our meal. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

Yelp
This place is a must for me every time I come to Nova Scotia. As a Bostonian, I have my share of seafood choices, I however, can't wait to visit this place. The people are so friendly and the view is phenomenal. I highly recommend the haddock with the cream lobster. And if you want a more Acadian experience try the Rappie Pie made from chicken and grated potatoes with the starch removed. Can't decide? They sometimes can give you appetizer dishes for a smaller taste of different plates. Nadine and Scott are very accommodating with any request I've ever had. Although they do not serve alcohol, you can bring your bottle of wine, and there is no corking fee. Enjoy the view!!!

Yelp
Do make reservation for both food and seats. It all goes super fast. The food is basic, flavourful and very home like ! We ordered the big seafood platter and seafood chowder.

Willa W.

Yelp
Decor simple and no nonsense. Seafood delicious! Local scallops simply sauteed were sweet and cooked perfectly.I had haddock with lobster sauce (as in light cream sauce with chunks of lobster-NOT lobster sauce on Chinese menus). My husband's cousin always orders the seafood lasagna. Generous dessert portions. I think my slice of pie was 1/5 of whole pie (had to bring it home).BYOB. Fabulous, local place for a good meal.

Yelp
Great home style cooking, known for their awesome seafood and does not disappoint. Their haddock with lobster sauce is awesome, as is my favourite... fish cakes! Their desserts are all homemade if you have room for it. Atmosphere is quaintly fitting, as it's an old farmhouse. By far the best seafood in South Western NS.

Yelp
Well worth a stop if you are anywhere in the vicinity. We had a lovely lunch on the outside patio overlooking the coast. We were greeted warmly and served promptly and cheerfully. But the food is the star and rightfully so. We had lovely fresh chowder and having had multiple meals with chowder during our trip in Nova Scotia and PEI, this was by far the best. We saw other meals coming out, all of which smelled and looked great. Unfortunately we missed the rapee pie (the table next to us snapped that up) but we can report that there was no scrap left on anyone's plates.

Yelp
Always the best local seafood and Acadian dishes. Their fish cakes are my favorite. All the dishes on the menu are worth a try. Pricing is fair for the quality and portion size. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Found this amazing place with the help of my yelp app and it was one of the best places I have been to in quite a while! We had the famous fish cakes as an appetizer but might do them as a main next time...so good! Portion sizes are large, the fish fresh, and the scallops were HUGE! We didn't have room for dessert but couldn't resist taking a slice of coconut cream pie home for later! Looked too yummy from across the room as it came out 4 pieces at a time! Will definitely be back!
