"You’d think elegant rooms and lake views this good would come with a hefty price tag, but this smart hotel, perched on the edge of glimmering Lago Maggiore, is (*whispers*) surprisingly affordable. At least for now. Brothers Davide and Matteo opened the place in April 2022 after a big refurbishment, and the dream team have been wowing guests (including us) with their divine dishes and stellar service ever since. Set in the pretty hamlet of Cerro, La Dama del Porto’s five rooms are clean and minimalist affairs – think calming plaster-hued walls and rich wood tones. Lake and mountain views from balconies take your breath away. Dine on superb fresh, local Italian fare in the intimate hotel restaurant, all whipped up by the talented, Michelin-experienced Davide. Gaze across the water at the Alps through floor-to-ceiling windows as you sip a chilled glass of something local. You’re well positioned here. Cerro beach, one of the area's finest, is a two-minute stroll away and a dream for swimming in. Nearby Laveno-Mombello village is where to access magical boat trips if the mood takes you. And there’s strong hiking potential from your doorstep. This little lakeside gem left a real impression on us, and we can't wait to go back. Four nights stay at this charming and friendly hotel. Cerro, the village, has a lot of charm too, lovely beach. The hotel does a superlative breakfast at tables overlooking the lake, and the dinner we (family of four) had at its restaurant was top notch. You can tell the pride and imagination that go into the sourcing and preparation of the food.

We had an amazing 4 night stay at La Dama del Porto. Lovely boutique hotel with a great location on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The owner was very helpful and friendly, we were very well looked after. We ate in the restaurant which was by far the best meal we had during our stay. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

We've just returned from 5 days at La Dama del Porto as part of a two week trip through Piedmont. We loved it. Matteo and his team were so welcoming to us, and we felt at home right away. The location is beautiful, simple but stylish design throughout the hotel, the village truly authentic, food exceptional AND the best negroni's of our trip! Thank you, we will be back :)

we stayed 4 nights at La Dama del Porto. Fantastic location on the shores of Lake Maggiore. We were looked after very well. Matteo the general manager gave us all the information on where to go locally and was very friendly. We ate in the restaurant which was the best meal of our trip. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

We had made reservations for lunch but our flight suffered a great delay and we showed up when the kitchen was closing yet they kept open and we were impressed by the dishes and the top service ! Matteo ,offered us an exceptional service ! Very was patient and diligent through it. As beyond closing hours even to the point that we felt right at home ! The restaurant us elegantly decorated with a gorgeous view on the lake

This was a gem. The food is locally sourced and delicious, The details are really thought out. For example they bake their own bread, make their own marmalade and buy yogurt from a local vendor and then you enjoy your food with a lake view. The staff is super friendly, speaks English fluently and goes the ekstra mile to help. All this in a small Italian village - super charming.

La Dama del Porto is a wonderful boutique hotel to stay at while exploring Lago Maggiore. Matteo and his staff were so accommodating and the food was delicious! And of course, the view is incredible. Thank you Matteo for a great stay and we look forward to returning!
