I recently stayed at La Diguoise Guesthouse and was disappointed with several aspects of my visit. Firstly, the furniture is reminiscent of the 80s, giving the rooms an outdated feel. Breakfast was minimal, offering just a few slices of fruit and the option of boiled or fried eggs, which was underwhelming. Another significant issue was the AC; it was extremely noisy, making it difficult to have a peaceful night's sleep.
The guesthouse's location also posed a challenge; it is situated 500m from the main road at the end of a non-paved, unlit street, making it inconvenient and somewhat unsafe to access, especially after sunset.
However, the most unsettling part of our stay was the interaction with the landlady. Hospitality seemed to be a foreign concept to her; she was rude, never smiled, and in one instance, shouted at a member of our group, asserting, "This is my f***** place and you'll do what I say." This level of hostility and disrespect was shocking and entirely unacceptable.
Overall, my experience at La Diguoise Guesthouse was far from pleasant, marred by outdated facilities, minimal amenities, noise issues, inconvenient location, and, most importantly, poor management and hospitality.
