We stayed 5 nights in La Digoise. The tropical garden adjacent to Veuve nature reserve is truly a quiet piece of paradise where you can see endemic birds and fruitbats in abundance. ||The owner and her staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable (and succeeded!). I also highly recommend to enjoy dinner. The creole food that is served is absolutely delicious. ||I would definitely recommend La Digoise when staying in La Digue and wouldn't hesitate to go back!

We wanted to be close to the reserve to see the endemic birds at the reserve right behind the hotel. Within 10 minutes of going to our chalet, we had spotted all four right in their gardens. Elody was an amazing hostess setting us up with a taxi from the port, bicycles and anything that we needed. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very attentive. The room was spotless and comfortable. Beach towels were provided and the pool was wonderful on the hot afternoons. So glad we chose La Diguoise for our La Digue retreat.

I'm not a psychologist but I'm sure that lady Elodie (the owner) have a mental health problem.||I'm a travel agent and a team leader from 12 years and for the first time something like this happened to me. During one of the very first days she and her friends were sitting in the garden area where was the only place where guests could seat. I was told by someone from our group that she tried to seat on one of the sofas but was told from someone from the group that she cannot seat there because they had a meeting. Then I went and let her and everyone know that our group would like to sit together and enjoy as we just arrived, Elodie sent us to the pool where there were only 3 chairs and 2 sunbeds and our group was 14 adults. Everyone spent 2.5 hours in our room before dinner as there was nowhere to sit outside. When we sat down for dinner she denied serving the dinner because not everyone was sat at the table. We tried politely explaining to her that it's OK for us to start the dinner as someone from the group wasn't feeling well so were not sure if all 14 were coming, we were 12 at the table. Then I went to the kitchen to talk to her and she started histerically shouting at me that "this is my (..bad word..) property and i could do whatever i wants" we were only renting the rooms for 10 nights but were not the owners'. This is only a little part of the story. The place is beautiful, with a nice garden, the staff is friendly, food is good as well but you can never have a calm stay knowing there is someone mentally unbalanced around.

The place is very beautiful, colourful, with plenty of vegetation.. you really feel like in the middle of the jungle! The hosts were amazing, Luke is very helpful and professional. You can rent bikes directly there for 100rps per day/person, and the breakfast is good. The only weak points would be the mattress, not very comfy, and we also had lights that didn’t work, and water drainage problem in the shower. We’re happy about our stay :)

Great place for staying, but the owner is so nervous and with bad attitude against the guests. It's a shame at the very least for the rest of the staff who are lovely and kind people. The room are clean and comfortable, with big bathrooms and windows.

I recently stayed at La Diguoise Guesthouse and was disappointed with several aspects of my visit. Firstly, the furniture is reminiscent of the 80s, giving the rooms an outdated feel. Breakfast was minimal, offering just a few slices of fruit and the option of boiled or fried eggs, which was underwhelming. Another significant issue was the AC; it was extremely noisy, making it difficult to have a peaceful night's sleep. The guesthouse's location also posed a challenge; it is situated 500m from the main road at the end of a non-paved, unlit street, making it inconvenient and somewhat unsafe to access, especially after sunset. However, the most unsettling part of our stay was the interaction with the landlady. Hospitality seemed to be a foreign concept to her; she was rude, never smiled, and in one instance, shouted at a member of our group, asserting, "This is my f***** place and you'll do what I say." This level of hostility and disrespect was shocking and entirely unacceptable. Overall, my experience at La Diguoise Guesthouse was far from pleasant, marred by outdated facilities, minimal amenities, noise issues, inconvenient location, and, most importantly, poor management and hospitality.

Comfortable and clean rooms (we stayed in Superior & Family), great location close to everything. Beautiful tropical garden with Tortoise, fish-pond & pool. Very nice owner. Breakfast is good and sufficient and can be served to your own terrace (depending on room). Dinner can be pre-booked and the ones we had were good. A great place to stay on the island!

A beautiful place to stay, full of vegetation, with some really nice people. The host Luke is very helpful and gave us nice advices. It is easy and cheap to rent some bikes there so I would advise to ask Luke for some bikes and not to take them at the jetty. |Some areas for improvement: the mattress were not very comfy, and one light wasn’t working. ||I recommend this place if you’re looking to stay in La Digue
