Really warm atmosphere and wonderful food and wine. We were here yesterday and came back again today. Thanks for the wonderful time.

Probably the best place in the whole Beaune. Incredible wine choice, so big that you pick your bottle with the host, having a chat to assess your favorite choices. Service is straightforward, that shows confidence on how tasty everything is, you just want to discover more. Only good and down-to-earth people are coming here, we shared a bottle with a random couple next to us ❤️ can’t wait to come back!

Fab little wine and tapas bar with excellent food (best panisse ever) and great wine by the glass. Booking advised. We were unluckily seated next to some very loud people from across the pond but the staff were swift to move us and we had a great evening.

When a pick from Google Maps turns out good you feel pleased. This is exactly what happened. One of the most sublime dinners. Each dish was great. The standout was the pork and the salad- especially the salad. Had some excellent wine by the glass. An Aligoté in white and a natural one in red. The biggest standout was the service from Yuka- thank you. July 2024

Google
A cozy tapas wine bar with fresh produce locally grown, knowledgeable staff and fast, friendly service. Be sure to order the fresh salad if it’s on the menu (we caught the end of tomato season) and stick around for a bottle of wine, which you can browse like books on the wall opposite the bar. Prices are hand written on each bottle. Accessible, wonderful food and wine.

Mega good time! Fantastic dinner, super kitchen with local ingredients and very crafty chef. Goes without saying — the wine list is very impressive and a perfect match to the food. Very casual vibes inside, pleasant contrast to often stuffy Burgundy restaurants. Make sure to reserve a table in advance, it’s sold out every night.

Punchline: We spent €400 for mediocre food and exceptionally bad service. The proprietor of Le Dilettante is a condescending hypocrite. He spoke of wine to be enjoyed from the heart and not the head. Yet, when we attempted to order another bottle of wine to enjoy, he refused to serve us a particular bottle. Why? Apparently, it was because of the type of wine we previously ordered. He said we cannot enjoy the “rare” wine because the wine we already had wasn’t worthy of being followed by this other wine. Wait. What?? If the wine we ordered wasn’t up to his “standards,” then why is it on _his_ wine list? And now he is the authority for what we should and shouldn’t drink. For what we should and shouldn’t order. Apparently, only his opinion matters. Pretentious much? SMDH. Side Note: The owner reminded me of the cook in the Seinfeld episode who he yelled out, “No soup for you!” Except, in this case, it was “no wine for us!” Spending your money and time at Le Dilettante is not worth it. I recommend those who read this review to save your money for a place who will appreciate you and recognize you have come to support their local business. If you want to avoid being subjected to condescension and rudeness, then definitely avoid this place. Never again. Happy to take our money elsewhere. #grabyourwallet #zerostars

Google
Great place to have wines and dinner. The owner has a lot of knowledge on wine and alleviates the experience of drinking it. The food is also very tasty.

Yelp
Friendly staff, awesome food, and great wine! Note that if you like a bottle you have there, you'll have to go to a wine shop to get it as they are unable to sell you a closed bottle to take away.

Yelp
MAGNIFIQUE!!! This place offers exceptional wine by the glass, but they also have an amazing lunch program. The husband is French and his wife is Japanese, it seems she does most of the cooking while he does most of the wine preparation. What took me by surprise here is the exceptional level of quality in every bite of food. We were truly mesmerized with the flavor and the sourcing of the ingredients, I really do believe this place does all organic farming, and because of their location out in the French countryside, farm to table is not something they market, it's just who they are. We ordered the classic croquet madame, and it was easily one of the best bites of food I've ever had in my life. I don't understand how they achieved this level of flavor with ingredients that everyone else in France would be able to have access to if they looked hard enough. I was hoping to come back here the next day, but they were closed on Wednesdays. We can't wait to come back on our next trip.

Yelp
Could be happier. This is the place to go when you want a laid back wine bar in Baune. The wine was very good and affordable. We also had the cheese plate- two of which were local cheeses- absolutely delicious- we will buy a cheese to go in the morning. It is a small space with rustic/ almost Brooklyn -like atmosphere. Impeccably clean-including the bathroom. The person helping us was super nice and patient with my Broken French, even though she spoke English as well. I really appreciate that as I have been trying to practice my French on my trip. This wine bar is a definite must -after or even before dinner- if you are in the area.

Yelp
Amazing! We came here for cheese, bread, and wine and this place did not disappoint. In the middle of the French countryside, amid wineries and vineyards, is a small town called Beaune. In the middle of Beaune is La Dilettante, a small restaurant run by a small staff. Many places are not open in the middle of the day, but La Dilettante serves small plates all day, beginning at 11 AM. The man who seemed to run the place (second to the woman... his wife?... who served us and prepared the food) spoke English, which was helpful. There is a large selection of wine from the surrounding region, both by the bottle and the glass. We loved being part of this small town and small restaurant. I would recommend the experience to anyone who is interested in exploring the French countryside and French wine.

Yelp
Superb Natural Wine Bar. It's small, and they fill out throughout the day, so be aware you should call ahead to reserve a table. But I highly recommend coming here for a lovely respite from the heavily over-priced wines of Burgundy, to enjoy some beautiful selections from all over France, made by artisans and farmers who don't use chemicals in both their vineyards and their wines. The owners are very hospitable, the food *while simple* is beautiful, and the wine list is outstanding.

Yelp
Perfect place for a glass of wine and amazing food...everything is super fresh, prepared to order..lovely owner/chef and they speak English which we very much appreciated. Can't recommend highly enough.

Yelp
Friendly service. Wonderful wine by the glass options. Tasty cheese platter. Great hospitality. One of our best stops over the weekend in Beaune/Dijon.

Yelp
As typical as a painter in Montmartre ! seems it was a good place to be some time ago but no more the case. Cold welcome, not interested to please customers, limited availability of wine by the glass , price level with a multiplying factor of 3 ... There are other better place in Beaune.
