This hotel is one of the most unique and special places I’ve ever been. The room was incredible, 10/10 big, comfortable, amazing bath, and super special view. The team was very nice and welcoming to us. There is no close parking so consider the extra money and 20 minutes walk from outside the old town to the hotel. Besides this it as all amazing and special.

What a fabulous place. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful, giving the best recommendations for dinner. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and they have umbrellas on hand should it rain. It is situated in a perfect spot close to restaurants and a main road. There are a lot of stairs so you can easily work off the food you consume here :) |I have no negatives everything was perfect. |I wish accomodations had real milk though just a small jug in the fridge or something as I don’t like the little long life milks but this applies to all stays I’ve had. I highly recommend staying here.

The spread includes local specialties, fresh pastries, and made-to-order eggs. The staff's attention to detail with breakfast presentation is remarkable. The location is perfect - right in the heart of the Sassi district, walking distance to all major attractions, restaurants, and viewpoints. Yet it remains peaceful and quiet, offering a serene retreat after exploring the city. Pro tips: - Book the suite with the terrace for unforgettable views - Request breakfast on the terrace for a magical morning - Staff can arrange excellent guided tours of Matera - Limited parking nearby, but they offer valet service - Some rooms have better views than others, ask when booking The staff deserves special mention - incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations, tour bookings, and local insights. They truly go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. While it's in the premium price range, the unique experience of staying in a luxuriously appointed cave hotel in Matera makes it worth every penny. A truly exceptional property that enhances the magical experience of visiting this ancient city.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Really nice and modern architecture. Located just in the middle of the old town of Matera. Breathtaking view from the rooms. Great breakfast and really friendly staff. Totally recommend. We will come back.

One of the most beautiful hotel that I ever stayed. Room is beautiful decorated and the location is perfect. The balcony provides one of the amazing view of Matera. Breakfast is so delicious with plenty of selection. There are few restaurants close by and we tried two of them, both are really good.

Living here is like living a page from the interior design magazine. The cave is so well designed that it becomes so trendy and stylish. This place has the most amazing view within Matera. To get this view, a few steps is totally worthwhile.

Beautifully styled room, with amazing view on the terrace. The breakfast is well prepared and nice. However, there is no price list for the mini bar, and on the day of check-out we were told that we had to pay for the drinks. The price is reasonable, but we would appreciate it if they can put a price list in the room next to the mini bar.
