I have always enjoyed this place, we even came here with one of my sons after their wedding. They were great then and the atmosphere of the restaurant is great. My wife got the calzone, she has been getting it for years. We noticed things have changed a little lately and she did not enjoy it as much. My favorite is the Anna’s spinach ravioli and if anything it was a little creamier than in the past. I really enjoyed it. My son got the pesto chicken pizza, he said it was a 10 out of 10. He also thought it was better than it had been in the past. The waiter spoke broken English but there was another one who helped when he couldn’t understand. The restroom was clean.

This food was atrocious. I am half Italian and lived there for two years, so it’s possible I am extra picky. However, trust me when I say that even Olive Garden puts this place to shame. (I despise Olive Garden) I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and my Fiancé order Gnocchi. The “meat sauce” contained no meat and was basically olive oil dumped together with tomato paste. Their Italian bread tasted like toast from Raising Caines. I couldn’t even eat the Alfredo sauce, because it was sweet. Not sure why, but it tasted like it contained condensed milk or something. I asked for a refund due to the quality of the food. They were only willing to refund me 20%. I can handle poor tasting food, and have never asked for a refund before. The issue here was the TERRIBLE quality of the food. If you’re craving Italian, go to Mastra or just make your own at home. The ingredients you’ll find at the store are probably of better quality and you’ll save $40. Please listen when I say DO NOT waste a date night here.

An absolutely amazing authentic Italian Dining experience. A hidden gem in downtown Provo. It is the perfect place for a date night.

Best restaurant ever! If you are a fan of Italian food, this is the place you must visit. Every time I come here, the food is absolutely delicious—consistently amazing! The servers are bilingual (English and Spanish) and provide excellent service. 🤩 My compliments to the chef, who I dare say is the best in all of Utah. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions here, and it’s always an unforgettable experience. This restaurant has become our go-to spot for creating beautiful memories.

Google
It's such a cute and nostalgic place. Our service was ok. Forgot to bring menus, had to ask for more bread, and took a bit. The garlic bread was not great. It can be, but it is just slightly toasted with a tiny bit of butter, and I'm not sure if there was any garlic on it. The cesear salad was not great. The dressing was just dumped on top. I think tossing a cesear salad is really the best, but this was way too much dressing. We got the meal for 2, which on their tables was advertised as $42. When we received the bill, it was $46. I don't think we saved any money at all doing that. We got the mousse and spamoni ice cream, which both were super yummy. We'd definitely go back again. It was really such a cute place, and the staff was very friendly.

I needed to carb load the day before my race and found this place in the top 10 places in town. I read multiple reviews and thought it would be a great place to try. As I pulled up to the restaurant I got a little worried it would be a let down since it was in a dilapidated building. Boy was I wrong and I am glad I didn’t judge a book by its cover. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a young man in a white shirt who sat me down with my party. I have never been to Italy before but the decor was amazing. We were given a fresh loaf of bread to dip in an olive oil mix and it was good. The gentleman then gave us menus and suggested several great ideas. Since I was trying to needing Complex carbs I got the minestrone soup and chicken Alfredo. The soup was full of yummy veggies and lentils and tasted great. Not too peppery or salty. The chicken Alfredo was top notch! The chicken was grilled to perfection and the sauce was amazing! Creamy Italian sauce what I guess would be a secret family recipe! The serving size for each plate was more than plenty! The service and atmosphere here was phenomenal and wished I could give more than 5 stars! Thank you Nathan for the great service and helping bring a taste of Italy to Provo! I highly recommend this to anyone in the area to try! I know I will be back!

Google
I'm giving one star purely because our server was amazing. We came here last night for our anniversary after reading stellar reviews. This was truly the worst Italian food we've ever had. The pizza was akin to Totino's, the "Alfredo" tasted like jarred sauce, my spinach manicotti was gritty and watery and the chicken was fried in dirty oil. Their salad was five pieces of lettuce drowned in dressing and the garlic bread was Texas toast at best. It's such a cute place but for $100 and food no one could bear to finish, do yourself a favor and skip this one. Not sure what's with all the amazing reviews. Bummer! Updated to add: when I reached out to the manager to explain the issues and she if she would consider a partial refund she said and I quote, "yeah, that happens sometimes. Some people just don't want to pay so imagine." She did offer a discount if we came back but that's going to be a hard pass for me.

Google
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. We were greeted, staff was friendly. We ordered the dinner special for $42 for two. We chose the salad, which was nothing more than a cafeteria style salad. I ordered Italian dressing, expecting oil and balsamic vinegar and got something like 1000 island dressing. The main course was average. The marinara sauce tasted like something from a jar, let’s just say nothing tasted authentic Italian. I’d give the Tiramisu 5 ⭐️ After our food was served, we didn’t see the waiter at all, not even to refresh our drinks.

Yelp
Came here for lunch, had the spaghetti al frutti di mare it was really good, and the service was great, Paul was really cool and spoke about his life in Philly and was really happy and interesting to talk to. The ambiance was really pretty and open, sunny and specious. I would definitely recommend this place if you like Italian food :)

Yelp
Nothing was "bad" but nothing was good either. The Alfredo was seasoned well but did not taste like Alfredo. It tasted like a roux based sauce with pepper and oregano in it. We both got side salads that were hard to eat because the bowls were so small and so full we had a hard time stirring the thick dressing in. The Italian cream sodas were the best part! If I had to go back here I'd be getting an Italian soda and trying something new. Would not order the Alfredo again.

Yelp
Some places have been around forever because they are legendary-they have amazing food, a unique ambience....SOMETHING that they provide to the community that sets them apart from competition. I'm not sure what it is about La Dolce Vita, however, that has kept them around since 1984. It's a solid 3 star place-the ambience is nice, with a nod to Italian flare 1990's style, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. My friend and I dined here for a late lunch and found that both our meals were-as the kids say-"mid." Bland flavors, uninteresting combinations and low quality ingredients. I think their target clientele is of the geriatric variety, if you know what I mean, so maybe that's what they prefer. Service was good-the nice young man that took care of us was friendly and attentive-almost like he was grateful for the business (we were the only ones in there). Will I come back? Probably not if the menu doesn't improve. But I'm glad I stopped by to check out this local nod to nostalgia.

Yelp
I was a little let down here not gonna lie. The mixed sauce pasta just tasted a little cheap. I was expecting something more authentic. Maybe it was. But the Alfredo just seemed like it came from a can or something. Bummer! The waiters were kind. Long time family business which is awesome. Something about the place felt a little loud too. Maybe we need to try again

Yelp
I wasn't very hungry and I had actually just gotten back from a cruise to Alaska where all I was eating was salmon fresh out the water everyday. Yet somehow when I tried this salmon it was like I was just trying salmon for the first time. The soup also made me feel like it was made by my Italian grandmother that I don't have, it was all just incredible. The service was amazing as they all seemed to speak a little Italian which made you feel like it was really a restaurant in Italy 10/10 would go again

Yelp
Been coming to La Dolce Vita ever since I was a kid. Decided to order my go-to Chef's Combo for takeout tonight. Got home and was super pumped to dig in. Unfortunately, there was no tortellini or mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken parm. A big let down. Bummer.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite Italian restaurant. As someone who loves Italian cuisine, I can confidently say that the food here is incredibly authentic. The atmosphere is always relaxing, and the service is consistently great. I also love the charm of the family-run business and the homemade quality of every dish--it feels like a true taste of Italy. If you're ever craving Italian, this is the place to go. I've stopped visiting more popular spots because nothing compares to the authenticity and warmth of this restaurant. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and try it!

Yelp
Genuinely terrible food. Very obvious that everything was canned or frozen. Not even the bread was good.

Yelp
After a day in Provo, I decided it was time for some dinner. When La Dolce Vita came up, I immediately decided I wanted to go there. Parking was super easy when I was here but I could see it being a problem for other people, as there isn't really a designated lot for patrons at this restaurant. I was a little bit early so I had to wait for them to open. Then I was the first one in the doors that day. I was immediately greeted by a server who took me back to a table. If there was one good impression I had, it was the service. They were really nice throughout the entire interaction. I decided to treat myself to a drink, so I got a raspberry italian soda. It was actually really good and a decent portion. However, knowing what we know about Swig and everything else, I would say $4.50 for the drink was a bit steep. For the dinner, I chose to get the entree with a combination of two pastas of your choice. I chose the alfredo pasta and the gnocchi. It also came with an appetizer of your choice and I chose the minestrone soup. After my drink came out, they brought me a basket, wrapped in foil, with a piece of sliced bread in it. I appreciate the gesture but it came across really unauthentic. Unless I am at a Denny's, it is a bit weird to get a slice of bread. Usually, if it is some kind of appetizer, it is a basket of rolls or breadsticks. The minestrone came out next and it was given to me shortly after ordering. Similar to the bread, it was super unauthentic and just didn't come off very classy. It was in a flavorless broth, with what I am convinced was cans of mixed vegetables--the ones you get at the dollar tree that have potatoes, carrots, and corn in them. The noodles also tasted tough and tasted a bit old honestly. I hate to say it, but most soups at home, even ones from a can, tasted better than their minestrone. The entree also came out really quickly, but followed the trend of everything else. The alfredo tasted like it was from a can and just overall, the whole meal felt like it was lacking tremendously in flavor. I am trying to word it as softly as I can, but in case you have not been able to gather this yet; I did not like the food. I left thinking, "I genuinely cannot think of a time that I have had worse food". This makes me so sad because I went into the restaurant with high hopes and tried so hard to like it. This business has been around for so long and I hope they still are around for years to come. The location is great, they have lots of seating, and the customer service is wonderful. They need a rebrand and they need to transform into a more authentic, fresh restaurant. Even that one chain that has an Olive in it makes their alfredo/soup/etc in house. Granted, I completely understand that the inventory has to come from somewhere but seasonings and fresher ingredients can go a long way. People rarely crave canned items, especially when they are treating themselves to eating out. Unfortunately, I would not go back and eat the food. I would love to see the servers again. I would love to have the fun atmosphere in the restaurant again. I hope they have some kind of restructure of their menu and make their menu items more "homemade"--I'd be back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
We loved this place! The hostess was so warm and friendly and the staff checked on us frequently. The food was quick and very good! The bruscetta was excellent!! The location was fun and lively.

Yelp
TLDR; they used to be way better! Skip the shrimp linguine and ALWAYS get the gnocchi short fall from the top! I've been coming here since the early 2000s and it's always been one of my favorite places in Provo. Recently however i have been a little less impressed. The friendly service is always consistent but this last time we got our orders and food but were basically ignored beyond that...leaving us with empty drinks and not enough bread (we didn't even get the bread promised from our entrees) I've always recommended the gnocchi but this most recent time decided to try the shrimp linguine with marinara instead and was really disappointed...it lacked enough sauce and flavor and the shrimp tasted like thawed shrimp thrown on top of the dish. My co-worker got the gnocchi and it hit on all marks and continued to be likely the best dish on entire menu. The soup was really good as well and I'll still continue to visit here just am likely not branching out to anything besides the gnocchi going forward. Oh and the bread used to be way better but now it feels like it's cut up French bread from the store with a little bit of butter and garlic powder sparingly used. This used to be a crown jewel in Provo with a locally owned family ran vibe. The owners would greet you and speak some Italian with you and it was a great experience every time. This most recent visit was a disappointing one but not ready to give it up and hopefully see nonna again soon!

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Beautiful old bakery converted into an authentic Italian restaurant run by a family. I ordered the lasagna and it was absolutely delicious, textures of pasta with meat with cheese. Out of this world. I came with a party of four people, four dinners, four drinks, two desserts for $150 with a tip. The restaurant is very rustic and I love all the old photographs on the walls. We'll definitely be back.

John H.

Yelp
I don't know if I am missing something...but this is far from authentic Italian cuisine. The pasta sauce tasted like it came from a can and was comparable to gravy. I have had jar pasta sauce that tasted better. There was no seasoning, no cheese and was just overall bad. Everything looked/tasted like it was canned and nothing seemed homemade at all. The staff was nice enough, ambiance was fine, but it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time unfortunately.

Jacquelyn C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious Authentic Great customer service Variety Inviting Comfortable Casual but classy Prices were realistic Kid's are still talking about this restaurant

Yelp
We were a group of 8. Service was slow. There was one lady doing it all for 10 tables. She was doing the best she could. So once you got your drink there was no refill. I got the chicken parm and it was room temperature when I got it and the pasta and sauce were cold. The sauce tasted like it was from a cheap can and the pasta that came with it was mushy and way over cooked like a microwave dinner meal. One of our salads salad had a dead bug in it which was very off putting. The bread tastes like it was from a frozen box then toasted. Our group was very disappointed.
google avatar

Bethany W.

Yelp
I love the feel of the place (decorations, music, layout). The service was fast and good. However, based on the dishes we got, I didn't think they were all that unique and (I'm sorry) could've been bought frozen at a grocery store... The homemmade bread and minestrone soup are both really good, but the pasta lacks rich flavors and presentation unfortunately. Overall though, it's a great date night spot in Provo.

Anika G.

Yelp
The food was okay. The soup definitely came from a can, but the pasta was pretty good. I don't know if anything is homemade but again it's pretty good. Servers were nice and helpful though. Overall it was pretty average. Nothing wild but not bad.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Very good service and atmosphere. Best part was great food. We got fresh bread and combos which had fresh pasta and great sauces.

Kyle G.

Yelp
I've only been there once, so maybe there are better items on the menu, but the food I got was not good, which is the main reason I have for the poor review. Everything on the menu seemed very Americanized, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because I love authentic and Americanized Italian food, but I know some people are looking for something more authentic. It took a long time for our food to be brought to us. The building, decoration, and seating are old and worn-down. I'm not sure what's with all the 1 and 5 star review differences. Maybe they're really great someday and really bad at other times? I wish I could have gone during one of those great times people have been talking about.
google avatar

Meagan L.

Yelp
Wish I could give a 3.5. I've had really great experiences here, and also some mediocre ones. When Suzy the owner is there, she has come around to talk to my family and it has made our experience so much fun! She is so fun and nice, but lately she hasn't been around and it seems a bit more dead. The atmosphere here is fine...it's not super nice, but they have Italian decorations and music playing which I liked. My most recent waiter wasn't great. He never filled up our waters and didn't seem thrilled to help us. I've had other waiters here that have been much better though. The food is good here... I like the Manicotti and Pasta A Gratte! It doesn't look very appetizing and it's probably swimming in too much sauce, but it does taste really good! One of my favorite parts is that they bring out bread and vinegar and oil for you and it's really yummy! I maybe would pick Olive Garden over coming here most the time, but it's nice to have a change every once in awhile.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
The food is great. The bread is very good. My wife and I did the dinner deal. Portions were fair for the price.
google avatar

Jodie G.

Yelp
The pasta was over cooked and mushy. I like sauce on my pasta but the sauce on their pasta made it so it was more like eating Alfredo soup. There was very little flavor. The service wasn't good. We didn't get checked on, our water glasses ran dry, and it took a good amount of time to bring my credit card back to me. I definitely will not be going back.

John Scott P.

Yelp
best true italian place in all of Utah FOR THE MONEY! I have been going here since 1984 and it never disappoints.

John C.

Yelp
I should have let the 5 people at 3 tables (empty restaurant) be my guide to go elsewhere... We got gnocchi combo and the spinach ravioli from the two can dine special. The gnocchi and pasta weren't fresh made. The sauces lacked flavor. I could go on, but this should get the point across to go somewhere else.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance! Such friendly staff. We got the chicken parm, calzone and chicken pesto, everything was great!!
google avatar

Sam O.

Yelp
I have been here in the past and wanted to try again years later, it is just how I remember it. I think the reason people come is it really is the only Italian place to eat with a lot of pasta options besides Olive Garden or pizza places. It is decent and will satisfy your needs. I ordered the spinach ravioli, the special, the look of it was odd. It looked like green, lily pads floating in a pool of white sauce. The taste was a bit better then it looked, but still not anything that pops out at you. My date ordered the classic spaghetti and said it was full of flavor so maybe I just ordered the wrong plate. The bread for the table was great and crunchy. It worked really well with the plates we had. Perfect for dipping. I do like the environment and pop of the place. It is lively and full of people, that is a good sign of a place. I want to come back to try some of the more traditional dishes.
google avatar

Yelp
This is NOT an Italian restaurant. I have no idea where they are getting their reviews. Perhaps this is how food is prepared in Italy, but I've been to Italy and...I don't think so. -Calzone: no meat, ricotta cheese only &?served in sauce? It was little more than a piece of bread served in watery marinara sauce. I've never had calzone in a plate of spaghetti sauce??? I've had calzone in Italy and Sweden, never served in sauce. - Meat sauce with no meat on spaghetti. - Spaghetti drowning in water - Pink lemonade is 99% water; no taste - Our friends order came out completely wrong but were to afraid to send it back so they just ate it. Still charged for it. This restaurant needs to start completely over and get a new menu and new chef. Sorry nothing here was good.
google avatar

Jacob A.

Yelp
Pretty nice place! It's some pretty good Italian food served here and the place is decorated nicely to set the aura of a nicer restaurant.

Callie G.

Yelp
Very bland. I guess the actual chef wasn't in yet or something because this was just not up to par for Italian food.
google avatar

Yelp
Always good service and always DELICIOUS food! I go here every year for my birthday because it's so good. I can always count on these guys!

Yelp
The environment of the restaurant was nice--it felt like a classic Italian restaurant in New York City, with the decor and jazz radio supporting the theme. My interactions with employees were positive--they were friendly without trying to make too much conversation. The food was fair--I got lasagna based on the server's suggestion, and was disappointed it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be (though it wasn't bad). The portions are a little small for the price you pay (at least for the dish I ordered).
google avatar

Marialena M.

Yelp
Homemade authentic Italian. The bread comes out fresh and hot every time. Delicious. A bonus is the sweetest Italian ladies
google avatar

Madison B.

Yelp
This was nothing special, but I liked it. I got the spinach ravioli and a salad with Italian. The cream sauce was heavy, but well-made. I also tried my friend's fettuccine alla fiorentina, and it was fine but very soupy, could've been a chowder not a pasta. The bread was okay too.

Tyler E.

Yelp
We ordered the basil pesto pasta and it was very mid, below average. Not a lot of flavor, or maybe too much flavor can't tell what was happening. Almost like they just dumped the Costco basil pesto on the pasta and called it good. The service was alright, friendly staff but no opinions on the menu so not super helpful. The environment of the restaurant was good and felt homey, overall the food was the biggest disappointment and that's what I go to a restaurant for.

Yelp
I was really excited to try an Italian place in Provo that wasn't Olive Garden. There really aren't a ton of good options around here for that kind of thing. I ended up having a mediocre experience. When we got there it was super slow--only one other table that was just about finished. When that is the case at a smaller, divey, family-owned type place like this, there aren't any excuses for less than exceptional service. But our server never once filled up our waters--or checked up on us at all for that matter. He seemed bothered when I asked him questions about the menu. We ended up having to get a different server to bring us our check because he never helped us. I don't think you should ever feel like you are inconveniencing a server when you have a question or need more water, and that is exactly how I felt. The food is pretty good though! I really enjoyed it and was reminded just how good it was when I ate leftovers for lunch today! I ordered Nonna's Trio and my only problem with it (and most of their other dishes) was it was absolutely DROWNING in sauce (see picture). It honestly doesn't look all that appetizing in its appearance. Don't get me wrong though, it tastes great! I just don't understand why it can't look like it would taste good. In the end, I think Yelp's overall rating of 3.5 stars is pretty accurate. Maybe we just caught our waiter on a bad night. This food is more authentic than a place like Olive Garden. But Olive Garden might be a better value for your money. I would recommend coming here and figuring it out for yourself.

Yelp
Wow! Where to start. The many positive reviews on here have got to be fake! I know restaurants live and die by reviews and I hate to hurt a business but MY GOD, this place is truly HORRENDOUS. I will make state my case: With respect to the two meals for $28... my expectations were mixed but I still had an open mind, especially in light of all the 5 Star reviews (most likely friends of the owner). We ordered minestrone, lasagna, and cannelloni. Soup arrives in timely manner. Excited to try it as I'm starving after my hike down a mountain in Park City. I mention this because I would truly eat anything... but not this. My partner wanted to know if the EXXON Valdez had crashed into their pot of soup. The oil slick on my soup could have been used to tame the wildest 1970's afro you could imagine into a smooth and slick mane. Despite those shiny orange globules floating near the top I did partake of it... like I said I WAS STARVING. How can something be so orange and lack an ounce of flavor? The vegetables had mostly disintegrated but I could see some celery, maybe carrot, and some pasta. Don't know why that matters except to say I had a few tries and just couldn't eat it. My partner ate the veges but not the broth. You could have brought me Campbell's soup and it would have been better. The reviews getting a bit long... my lasagna tasted like the meat had been cooked frozen and stuck together, and it too had absolutely no flavor. The cheese was barely adequate, greasy and not of any quality but the lowest grade. A top the lasagna was some tiny bit of something green... couldn't tell you what herb? Parsley? I asked for some garlic in hopes of trying to add some flavor... the waitress looked at me with crazy eyes, "Garlic? We don't have garlic." Who ever heard of ITALIAN FOOD without garlic? She offered me some garlic salt! Geezus, Mary, and Joseph, every Italian I know is crossing their heart and praying that this restaurant will figure it out. Stouffers from the freezer aisle would have tasted better.

Yelp
The gnocchi is delicious, the rigatoni and tortellini were great too. The Spinach ravioli was alright. My chicken Parmesan was just alright too. The salads are just lettuce and dressing. It's a good Italian place, mostly because Utah is lacking in Italian places haha
google avatar

Yelp
This place was not worth the money. It tasted like if you were to plop something out of a can, microwave it, and serve it. I do not recommend to anyone.

Yelp
My first in here. Nice setting and service. Having soup which is good. Penna pesto with shrimp. Nice. Pelligrino to drink is just right. I would return. All is very good.

Yelp
Old school home-style cooked Italian food the right way. You are greeted by wonderful smells and 50s American music reminiscent of World War Two. The decor is simple, but classic Italian. The menu is not fancy, but seems comfortable that the restaurant has been a part of town for 25 years. For $15 you get minestrone soup or salad, bread and oil with wine vinegar, one of many entrees, and your choice of dessert.

Yelp
Possibly covid has taken its toll on this long established restaurant. We walked in at 6 PM on a Thursday. There were 6 people waiting in front of us, a sign that stated they were short staffed, & an entire dining area that was roped off. We waited 5 minutes & never saw an employee...not even wait staff serving the people that were lucky enough to be seated. We left & went to another restaurant. It is very sad to see.

Yelp
I love this place! Not everything on the menu probably but enough items. I think it's tops! Get the Calzone. It's the best.

Yelp
First of all, their glass of wine is from a box (franzia). There was no one in there at 6:30 on a Thursday . The mozzarella sticks came from the freezer. Waiter talked to the kitchen staff that we were only getting appetizers. Not the Italian experience their NY'r is used to.

Yelp
Saw this place while driving around town. My wife wanted pasta for her birthday dinner. While walking into the restaurant there was a guy coming out so we asked how the food was. He said he has been coming here for around 20 years. So we thought, ok a good little Italian restaurant. Went in and took a little while to be seated by a little old lady, possibly the owner. Got to the table and she dropped off menu's. Waited quite some time for the waiter to come over. Ordered drinks and after awhile we thought he forgot but finally they came. This was just the start of a long wait and hope you get it. Bread, salads and more waters took forever. This young man had no clue how to wait on tables. Finally got to order. Wife got chicken parmigiana and I got the lasagna. The chicken parm had red sauce on it but the pasta had the Alfredo sauce on it. Never heard of it coming that way. The chicken was so thin and tough she couldn't even eat it. Also she hates Alfredo sauce so she could not eat the pasta. The lasagna was not the greatest either. I don't know what they used for the meat in it but it was like mush. Sauce was some runny red stuff and had no flavor. Matter of fact either one of our food had any flavor. Don't know how this place stays in business with what they serve for Italian food. "STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE" Olive Garden is way better than this place.

Yelp
This business is 5 stars for service and not much for taste of the food so I gave them 3 stars. The bread and salad were good but we were disappointed with the entrees. The execution of the pasta was fine but the sauces just lack flavor. If they tweeked the recipes, these might be memorable dishes that would make you want to return.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday night at 7:50 with a party of 5. I had no expectations going into the meal, and thus definitely a good thing. They young man who was our waiter literally said "...I do not care. These people aren't even Italian anyway except the little old lady you see around..." when simply asked for what he recommended. He also mentioned that he's never eaten lasagna before which definitely makes him untrustworthy in general. The table ordered the calamari and Italian sausage as starters, and while I didn't have any due to dietary restrictions, everyone seemed to really enjoy the sausage, but had nothing nice to say about the little generic frozen fried calamari. I had the Penne Al Pesto which was not anything to write home about. I do not eat dairy, so when my pasta came out covered in cheese after it was made clear, I didn't both sending it back and just picked off the cheese and wrote this meal off as a loss. Others at the table ordered the gnocchi, which was apparently mushy, the chicken Alfredo was described as decent, and we left without dessert. All in all, don't eat here. We should have known that the night was going to not go well after waiting in the empty foyer, being blatantly ignored for 15 mins. It was unfortunate because it's such a cute little place. I wonder if they had more really Italians if it would be better... now that I think about it, maybe the young waiter was trying to warn us.

Yelp
Went here with my mom because it was her favorite when she was in college. The hostess was super friendly and sweet. We were seated and promptly brought water and bread. The bread was basically just white bread toasted with butter and a balsamic vinegar to dip it in, so I was a bit disappointed. We ordered calamari, which was the best thing we received by far. My mom ordered the gnocchi, which was bland and didn't resemble Italian food in the slightest. My husband ordered the lasagna and was instead brought the gnocchi, so we had to send it back. I ordered some fettuccine dish with chicken and peas and onion, which would have been good, but the onions absolutely overpowered absolutely everything. I felt so gross after eating it. The service was ok; we only saw our waitress a few times throughout the meal and it took a while for us to get our check.

Yelp
I cannot love this place more! Every dish I have had I love! The bread is amazing! My Italian family loves this place because of the authenticity and quality of food! It's definitely comparable to food I have had IN ITALY! Bravissimo!
