La droguerie 1904/L’ecailleur

Every dish is delicious and has good presentation. I traveled in Paris, the Loire Valley, and Normandy for 2 weeks. This restaurant is my favorite, even better than Michelin-starred ones I've had.

From the warm welcome by the owner to the last au revoir, it was a delightful and delicious evening. The service was attentive. The food (manager’s husband is the chef) was fabulous…sweet-yet salty-oysters, sea bream tartare with an explosion of flavors, and the hake on leek with a light sesame flavor. Dessert was a light chocolate mousse with a light sprinkle of something akin to granola (gave a nice mix of texture). The restaurant has a beautiful decor and is not big…so make reservations. We felt the price of the food and wine was more than reasonable (especially being a tourist town)!!!

A wonderful haven nestled right in the heart of Honfleur's busy tourist area with amazing views of the old harbor. This place offers a quiet atmosphere after you've walked around town. It has limited seating and a limited menu, but everything on the menu is delicious, well executed and elegantly presented. It even includes delicious vegetarian options. Add to this a very reasonable wine list and faultless service. What more can you ask for? I highly recommend this place.

Exceptionally good food and kind, attentive service. This was by far our best food in Normandie. We wish we could have tried everything on the menu but we were just there for lunch. We did the pork belly, fish and a dozen oysters, all with a splendid view of the harbour. Well recommended.

(Formerly named l’ecailleur) Awesome restaurant right in the middle of the port, that we found on YouTube from a popular France travel blogger. Did not feel touristy at all. You can tell that the chef really cares about what they’re creating. We almost came back a second time (but sadly did not have enough time) Service - 5/5 Food - incredible, and fairly priced especially for the area. Limited menu (probably seasonal), which means everything will likely be fresh. Oyster appetizer was so fresh (no sharp, off putting brine-y flavors). Sirloin steak with veggies and honey miso sauce may have been one of my my favorite steaks ever. So crispy on the outside. Medium rare came out more pink than I expected but I actually did not mind it all - tender as expected and did not feel raw or blue at all. And the sauce - wow! And finally, the market fish - in the US, you won’t find a market catch priced lower than a lot of the rest of the menu. Sauce was beautiful, buttery, flavorful. Good veggies as well. Ambiance - cute, beautifully decorated.

Very nice staff and owners. The food was nicely presented but a bit far from being “pure” French. I’d say the restaurant is fusion with huge Asian influences, which could be nice but what we didn’t look for. What we found disappointed is the lack of fish choices - none! There were two choices of seafood but not a single fish dish, which is rather sad considering the restaurant is so close to the sea. The service was attentive and pleasant and the decor beautiful.

My wife and I by chance (thankfully) discovered this wonderful restaurant this evening. Husband and wife are a great team and the atmosphere they have created along with the excellent staff is warm, friendly and inviting. The food was absolutely perfect as was the Rose wine to accompany. We will definitely visit again.

What a fantastic meal for my birthday, I had the sea bass and my wife the steak, both followed by fantastic puddings! The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially dealing with my useless French - they spoke perfect English. Will certainly come here next time!!!
