I booked this hotel direct from its website attracted by the great reviews, very affordable rates and its proximity to the port. Upon booking I received details of the codes for the main door and key box for my room. This was a relief as my arrival would be outside of reception hours. Also provided was tourist information. Great customer service! The message also included the WiFi password. The hotel was about a three minute walk from the port and not hard to find. It was a Tuesday night and there were quite a few people outside nearby restaurants and bars. There were also a couple of ATMs en route. I found my room (number 9) clean, cosy and decorated with a stylish blue and white theme. It was also well-equipped (see hairdryer, TV, fridge and fan in the pictures - wall heater not pictured). There was a bit of street noise but not excessively so and things quietened down after midnight. The windows were double-glazed and offered views of neighbouring streets and the castle. I would not hesitate to stay again when next in Tarifa.

Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms are not very spatious, but are clean and you have everything you need. If you don't spend so much time inside, this is a great spot to acommodate.

First of all the hotel is not reachable by car, the streets are so narrow! You need to park somewhere else and then walk uphill which was not practical with our suitcases. Floors dirty on the bedroom. The worst is that there is no lift so pray God you dont have a room upstairs like we had. It was the worst. The location is good

We stayed here two nights. We had the first floor room with a double bed. The sink is in the same room with a barn door that slides open for the washroom and the shower. The room itself was a tight fit and being next to the road, you obviously can hear people talking as they walk by.||||However the location was very easy to get to the ferry port (5 minutes), and very close to lots of great restaurants. It's about a 15 minute walk from the bus stop (we took the bus in from Seville or if you want to go take a day bus to Gibraltar).||||Other things like banks, and grocery stores aren't too far off.

There were a couple things not okay with the stay, but the most important one was the bathroom: -the bathroom we got was nothing like the pictures on the side -plus it was really dirty When addressing this two issues to the manager we were told: “you got a shower and a WC, what else would you want?”, and that the cleaning service was already out and that couldn’t be dealt with. The rest couple of days things kept falling apart, the toilet, the shower holder… but we couldn’t address this issues to anyone anymore bc there was no one responsible available, they would only be there a couple hours in the evening and other two in the morning.

I travelled all day from Seville to Tarifa and when I arrived at the hostal I was ready for anything but what was the surprise when I discovered this little gem! My room was on the third floor, breezy and sunny, beautifully decorated with blue and white colours throughout. Three windows made sure that the light was almost 24/7 and despite the view was over rooftops I could smell the sea and fall asleep with the wind rustling through the alleys. The room was clean and comfortable, fresh towels and toiletries were stocked daily and I felt so welcome and at ease I really was sad to leave. The Hostal is centrally located with Bars, Restaurants and the beach close by. I will be back for another holiday, hopefully I'll be able to get a room again, the place is Heaven on Heart.

We stayed as a couple mid September in No 2. our family lives in Tarifa and we just wanted a handy central place to stay. The room is on the ground floor and against the road but the double glazing keeps out all noise. The room was cleaned regularly and even the bed made. with a washing area in the bedroom area and more than sufficient storage for clothes the bedroom was a little bigger than expected. The shower room area was spacious enough but the associated toilet area was a little cramped for someone with long legs! Wifi was available and the room had a TV. Fresh fruit was in the room as well as in the entranceway.||Located central to the old town and convenient to restaurants, shops and bars. We were extremely happy with our stay and would return when next visiting the family. Thanks

Having seen the nice pictures, of windows, I booked the room and was given and little prison cell of a room complete with window bars. both the toilet windows open inwards and direct view for any person walking on the street. .. the toilet you could not sit on because the area to small, the door was barely privacy.. I cant see why they give such lovely photos and when you turn up.... you cant park any where near the hostel , and you are given a a nice room fit for detaining prisoners...||other than that Tarifa is nice
