Visit in September 2024. Delicious ribs and pasta dishes. Excellent music in the restaurant. Very nice decor, lots of greenery. We will stop by here again on our next visits to Budapest. The food on the menu is quite expensive, but I guess that's new prices in Budapest, as other restaurants in the area were similar.

The restaurant has a prime location with probably the best view of the Basilica. Food was amazing, no doubts about that. We had visited the place for a lunch and we were given a table that had the perfect view of the basilica. Apart from the evens, the waitress was a bit imposing and was trying to make sure that we order first before getting the table of our choice which is completely understandable if the restaurant is having a rush. However, the place was 70/80% empty and she still wasn’t the most professional in terms of hospitality. The food being amazing, costed a bit too much for the view. Which would not have been an issue if the staff were equally polite and less materialistic.

Don’t go if you are on a budget. Will be an expensive night. In terms of staff and food, It was good and people were really paying attention about the details and everything we needed on the table. Some effects on the food (dry ice on the antipasti platter) that didn’t bring much except that it is instagrammable. The food looked exactly like in the picture which is a really nice detail as you get exactly what you saw. Not sure if I will recommend as this a bit overpriced restaurant. We were two and sure we took alcohol but the bill was around 200euros which are big cities prices With a lot of service charge added to it. More than 20%. On top since you are a tourist they can ask you to put more which is a tricky way to get even more.

My restaurant review credentials: 20+ years in the restaurant business in America. The last 3 in one of the Top 5 Restaurants in New Orleans, Top 100 Restaurants in America, Top 200 Restaurants in the World. Have lived in Budapest for 6 years. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to restaurants. LA FABBRICA... Easily? One of the best restaurants in Budapest. Hands down. Ambience? Fantastic. Gorgeous inside. Well decorated with a warm comfortable feel. Hell... Even the bathroom was cool! Service? Top notch. Absolutely up to my critical American standards. Budapest Server of the Year? Dalma. I'd adopt her as my daughter. The best of the best. Food & drinks? Worth every forint. EVERY FORINT! From the selections to the portion sizes to the quality... You absolutely get your money's worth. Everything we had made us moan, "ERMAHGAWD!!".... I literally had to stop eating to keep from hurting myself. So, in a nutshell? You're in Budapest? Eat at LA FABBRICA. You'll thank me. 🤠

We went for drinks for Valentine’s Day, it was nicely decorated such as the atmosphere which was amazing. The service was also good and alcoholic drinks and cocktails are approximately 12-20€ . I recommend this place for drinks.

As one does, sometimes pure luck and chance will make you find a gem. And such is the story of how we stumbled to La Fabricca on a chilli November night, after an evening exploration of Budapest - coming straight from the airport. Invited by a myriad of lights in the St. Istvan square - a Christmas market and then noticing the winter garden of La Fabricca and it felt cozy and warm. And it was much more. Led to the garden we had a glimpse of the restaurant indoors, with it's beautiful and cozy decor. Glad to be seating with a street view, we were welcomed by a big smile of our waitress Mesi. But more about her later. The drink menus are served on paper while the main dishes and other drinks are accessible via a qr code. The prices are decent considering the location and food quality. We first received our drinks, and very shortly afterwards our main courses - gnocchi with truffles and mushrooms, and a smash burger with truffle mashed potatoes. And boy was it delicious. There was virtually no waiting time, surprising as the restaurant was rather full. And the food was so good. Even though mostly full, we still found some appetite for dessert. A sticky toffee pudding and a Dubai chocolate pastry. Both worth the sin. All well plated and looking pretty. But aside the food, the real gem was the service. Our waiter Mesi was a superstar. Attentive, very personable and likeable, the type of person you want to keep at your table as a guest, just "skootch a chair over and join us". Very professional at the same time, but not stiff. Honestly would come back for the food but please have Mesi serve it!

The pizza was thin as a paper with out any "structure". We also had a duck liver, duck breast and pumpkin ravioli and one more starter wich i don't remember what it was exactly. They was amazing but that pizza though..... the girl who found us where to seat need to put some smile on her face. I told her with a big smile that we was living and she like "ok, so?" with irony on her face.

The most dissatisfied experience in dining in a restaurant in Budapest. We were 4 people ordered 4 local traditional Goulash soups, 2 glasses of wine, tap water, one coke and we paid 96euros. We order still water and came a glass jar from the tap and paid 3,67. When asked why we had tap water and not still water from a sealed bottle said it is written in the menu….and it was from a filter….. The soups were very little and not enough for 1 person all the 4 soups. The wine glass was less than half brought to our table. We were all not happy at all and we are not recommending this place
