La Falconeria Hotel

This hotel is very well situated for those who wish to see the whole island of Malta. 10 min stroll to the bus station; which was excellent hub for getting about. Ferry ports 10-20 mins stroll depending where your destination is. Whilst we stayed for 7 nights I would think most of the hotel clients stay 3-5 nights. It wasn't an issue for us, but, a lack of storage (hanging space/drawers) might be to others on longer durations. The staff were excellent; reception/dining room/cleaning. There was an excellent choice for breakfast; something to suit everybody. Anybody looking in house to use a lounge with bar area, this hotel wouldn't meet their requirements. Although there are many bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc very close. There is a small gym and small pool within the hotel; dressing gowns provided for transit. A tea/coffee tray was useful in the evenings should you not wish to venture out. Overall, very happy with our stay and would stay here again when returning to Malta.

I spent 4 days over Christmas at this lovely hotel in a large double room with a balcony. I couldn't fault the room - large comfortable bed, powerful shower, fluffy towels and bathrobe, all the usual amenities and despite its very close proximity to Republic Street, it was very quiet. Breakfast was a very good choice of buffet and cooked to order items and one could pay extra for a la carte items, but I didn't feel the need to. The staff throughout the hotel were without exception courteous, efficient and helpful.||Republic and Merchant streets are a short walk away and, together with little connecting streets and alleyways, you'll find a wide selection of bars and restaurants to choose from.||Highly recommended.

Hands down best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed late June and they were fully booked so they upgraded our room from a double room to an executive suite with terrace. We were so thrilled. But even if we had just a double room, the hotel was clean, the staff is the best staff I’ve ever seen. They are willing to help you with anything and are very polite. Their breakfast is also great. The eggs benedict were phenomenal. If you want to book the executive suite is definitely worth the money. Honestly I have nothing bad to say. 100% recommend this place.

Easy and friendly check in and up to our fourth floor room with traditional enclosed balcony and views over the rooftops. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with high ceilings. Despite being in the city centre, and close to major Valletta sites, the room was dark and quiet at night.||Breakfast was part buffet, part a la carte cooked to order, and of good quality. Limited range because of size of restaurant and modest number of rooms. Staff visible, helpful and friendly. Restaurant not open for evening meals anymore but there were good alternatives nearby. The bar didn't seem to be open but would perhaps would have been opened up should anyone enquire. ||The small plunge pool in the cave like basement was an unusual but pleasant experience.

We stayed at La Falconeria for 2 weeks, the hotel is absolutely fantastic. We had a room facing the inner courtyard, and I did not find a lack of light an issue. At the end of the day, how much time do you really spend in your room when you're in a city like Valletta! The room is well equipped, and the employees are eager to help and provide anything you might need. We especially loved the breakfast, there's a small buffet section and a range of dishes to order from an included a-la cart menu (they serve one of the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had). The service was absolutely impeccable! One of the highlights for us was their cistern pool located in the basement of the building. It's small but its unique origin made it very special. It's so nice to have a refreshing dip after a day spent exploring Malta. The hotel is perfectly located, as it's outside of the hustle and bustle of the city center, yet close to everything.

Ideal location, as you are only a few minutes walk from Republic Street, and few minutes walk to the Sliema ferry and all other attractions. Breakfast is plentiful with fruit, cheese, meat, and bread available at the buffet and a choice of juices. The free menu is wide ranging also, English breakfast, eggs Benedict, omelette, savoury and sweet French toast options and eggs on toast. If you want something different you can pay, but we didn’t find the need to do this. Good shower, comfy bed and a quiet central location made this perfect for our break.

Excellent hotel in a great location a short walk from Republic and Merchant Streets, with a huge amount of food options. Very clean large room, with beautiful roof terrace over looking the city. Good breakfast included. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend

From the first time we stepped inside, to the last day, we were welcomed with kindness and a standard of service that went above and beyond. They were helpful, cheerful, and made our holiday feel like we had family/friends here. Rhea helped me find a pharmacy with a doctor; giving written directions and opening times etc. mayar was alway ready to hear about my day, I felt drawn up reception to tell them how I loved where I had been. The male reception staff looked after our luggage until we could check in. We were also advised of where told where was good to eat. And reminded us of the pool down stairs, and the roof top pool/views we could access at the sister hotel (Gambiano). |The breakfast staff were all sunshine to come down to at breakfast. Attentive. And even helping me bring food up to my unwell partner. The chefs prepare and served the best breakfast you could ask for. |The cleaning staff were brilliant also - providing towels/emptying our bin. We were happy to keep our room as it was everyday. But I could see how hard they worked at keeping the standards of the hotel to its highest. |I will recommend to anyone who wants to come here. And would definitely stay here again. It’s perfect location. And is safe as there’s the French embassy with police man box next door
